If there's one review you read and listen to, please let it be this one. I went to this shop because of its proximity and the positive reviews I saw online. However, I should've done more research. Here's my experience: 1. The piercing was completely wrong. I went in for a nostril piercing, but it was placed way too high. It bled, and I had a headache for a week straight. Anytime the sun hit me or I smelled something with even the slightest aroma, I would get a piercing headache. I brushed it off, thinking it was just my anxiety making me overthink. Eventually, I went in for my check-up, and I was told everything was healing perfectly and that I had no bumps at all. A day later, I accidentally yanked out my jewelry, tried to put it back in, but it was painful and kept bleeding, so I panicked and rushed back to the shop. I was told it couldn't go back in because there was a bump on the inside, and I would have to come back to get it pierced again. I do NOT blame the shop for my clumsiness with the piercing falling out, HOWEVER, my friend also got a nostril piercing, and hers keeps falling out as well. Perhaps it's the jewelry they use, and if so, they need to address that issue. 2. One of the piercers was unprofessional and made me uncomfortable. Maybe I'm too sensitive, but I went in wearing makeup since it was a spontaneous decision. The piercer made a comment along the lines of, "I remember when I used to wear this much makeup." I also had a companion with me because I was nervous about my first piercing, and the piercer blocked them from seeing me with her body. Additionally, Confessions sold me a product (H2Ocean) that caused both me and my friend to develop piercing bumps. I wasn't aware that I was paying for it until my $50 piercing turned into over $60. On top of that, the aftercare instructions they emailed me contradicted what they told me in person. I was told to use Dial soap in person, but the care sheet specifically said not to, among other inconsistencies I can't fully recall. In the end, I decided I would never return to this place. I had to go to another piercing shop, where I was told Confessions' placement was incorrect, and that they frequently get clients with messed-up piercings from there. My new nostril piercing is much lower, DID NOT hurt at all, and didn't bleed. The staff at the new shop was also much friendlier and professional. I'll provide pictures of the piercing done by Confessions (left side) and the piercing that was redone on my right side at a new shop. The photo where I have white dots on my face is the one done by Confessions. The placement is noticeably higher compared to the new one, which is lower. This is my second tattoo with Confessions of the Hand. My first experience just over a year ago was a 5 star experience and I haven't changed my mind. That tattoo is clear and beautiful. First we were talking to someone via email to schedule a piercing appointment finally we were given the availability of the the person that would do the piercing we get a link to make the deposit we make the deposit and get confirmation that the appointment has been booked well today was the supposedly appointment and they were not able to find anything about it!! They couldn't find my deposit, my appointment nothing I had to show proof of all the confirmation to be told that the person that was supposed to do the piercing was at an event mind you this was the same person that sent us her availability!!! So.....my sister passed last year and I wanted to do a tattoo in remembrance of her. I wasn't sure what to get, but I came in to get info and Lisa was extremely helpful. She asked me all the things that I would do with my sister that were memorable and right away I knew. Thanks Lisa!! We grew up in church singing and playing the piano. That's where Jim came in. He saw my vision and ran with it. I even wanted to draw attention away from a nasty scar I had, and now you can barely see it unless you're staring. I have no regrets. What made me comfortable about the shop was a week prior, I had my nose pierced with Jennifer. The shop is clean, comfy, they're down to earth and professional. Please do yourself a favor and ask for upfront pricing for services in this shop. Me and my wife ended up getting two piercings and the price out the door for everything was $135. They take advantage of you as a consumer and use shady business practices to tack on small fees without communicating things upfront and that's exactly how I ended up paying $135 + dollars for two tiny piercings. They are friendly, but sharks. There's tattoo shops doing piercings for $20 with the piercing included, do your research on competition. Where your shop had the opportunity for better communication was in 1. We were informed we could not get a hoop in our first visit,. Instead, we were told she could not get a hoop piercing immediately (which is false) On top of that, the closing portion of the nose ring was never put on so the piercing kept falling off. After returning to tell you guys the issue we had with the piercing that it kept coming off you guys THEN told my wife that she can THEN put on a hoop nose ring. Therefore being able to charge her for the jewelry because of the "necessity" a necessity that was created by your employees lack of attention to detail and lack of communication that she indeed COULD get a nose hoop piercing from the beggining. On top of that, at no point it was communicated that they would be charging us a $10 fee to put on the new jewelry we had just been sort of arm twisted into buying. We could've done that from the car ourselves but since you guys were being so nice! Your employee just didn't tell me I was being charged an additional $10 for it. Ok my friends.. listen up!! If you need ANY tattoo done, these are the folks you want to have do it... I had two done today by Alejandro...I had very VERY high expectations and he blew me away with the quality of work he did.. The tattoo is better than the pictures I brought!!! He is very detailed, he worked for a solid 6hrs on my tattoos today... This cat is all about doing it right and what I felt was an incredibly reasonable price!!! I also watched Him and Nylia ( I may have spelled her name wrong , if so I apologize), anyway.. their work was equally as impressive. Alejandro is my tatt guy now, BUT if he wins the lottery and disappears I would have zero reservations having Him or Nylia(sp?) So my work The shop is clean, neat, organized, the entire staff is extremely friendly and personable. It is the first shop in along time that didn't have the head splitting death metal playing at 120 decibels. New to the area I asked around for recommendations for a place to get my daith pierced. I enjoyed my piercing experience and the person who did it was very nice. She was upfront about the pain and the procedure. I was impressed with her years of experience. The shop is clean and inviting. I even received a lolipop for distraction. The business location is good and the atmosphere was great. There are few reasons I did not give this business a 5 star rating, mainly administrative related. Like I said I enjoyed the experience of the actual piercing process. However, when I came to schedule and pay my $20 deposit the young women wasn't very friendly and seemed bothered to do this process. There was no one in the shop, no clients that is. Next, the cost was a more then what was quoted to me. I didn't really mind, because the service was good. Lastly the follow up process, I was asked to return one week later for a "quick peek" just to make sure everything was healing. I didn't mind and was kind appreciative of this extra step. However there was no appointment made and when I went I was left waiting. I would suggest that if this is a continued process book appointments for these quick peeks. Just so that the customer can plan accordingly and the business can account for their time. I would also have a visible price list for services read more

Jennifer was very thorough with explaining every step and providing me with knowledge on caring for my piercing. I got two piercings here (sternum and lip). When first pierced, I had a really good experience - however, when I started having problems with the piercings the energy seemed to change. First, my sternum started to reject; I wasn't too upset as it's a surface piercing and I was aware of their higher chance of rejection; though, when I came in to have piercer look at it she said we could put a smaller bar in and see how that goes - so that's what we did. I tried it out and she instructed me to come back the same day next week to get it checked again and take it out if necessary (I would not have been able to take it out myself, too thin and sensitive area). Anyways, I came in as instructed and she wasn't there - I was told she wouldn't be there til Saturday. I completely understand life happens - but if you're not going to be there for appointments I feel like an email rescheduling would suffice. I had emailed the shop plenty before with no issues. Thankfully, there was an individual there who offered to help me take it out. My second experience occurred when the lip piercing I got there a while ago had a very bad allergic reaction of sorts. The first thing I did was go to Urgent Care and they prescribed me antibiotics and told me to contact the piercing shop for further assistance with removal and advice, so again, I did. I sent an email explaining the situation and they responded with a bit of advice and stated "I would say the only concern is the jewelry entering the skin because of the swelling." Well, that was the whole issue - the lip piercing had entered the skin. Now, if removal was not in there capabilities that's okay! My issue both this time and the previous experience is that they acted like they were 100% there for me as a client even stating in the email "Please let me know if you have any other questions." Though, when I replied to the email with "So the swelling actually did go over the back of the piercing, the hole is still there - but the back is covered. Because of that, the doctor said the swelling is too much to remove it.. so not sure how to move forward." They completely ghosted me. :( I know piercers aren't like miracle workers, and sometimes reactions are beyond their ability to help - but it feels like once this shop pierced me, they didn't really care? If they couldn't help that's fine but again - a simple email would suffice you know? I was able to get my lip piercing removed elsewhere thankfully.. but disappointed that the shop that did it didn't even bother responding. read more

From signing in and filling out forms to washing your hands before you sit in the chair. The place was immaculate by the way. He may be a good artist but my experience was a nightmare. I was lied to about the cost of my tattoo and couldn't finish it. On top of that, all these hidden fee's kept arising. I was going to finish it regardless of the price because I truly thought he captured my vision, but had to push it out further because of the pricing being unclear but he wanted to charge me for that too! It was the epitome of unethical business behavior, in my opinion anyway. I now have a semi complete half sleeve that is costing me more money to remove. I spoke with a few other clients of his and they stated he didn't charge any of those fees so I felt he was bias toward me. I would not recommend him to anyone. If you do decide to go to him, get everything in writing but there are other artists out there that have way more integrity. Be careful! read more

I have written this review twice already and the tattoo artist keeps removing it because he doesn't want people to see the truth. When you look up reviews, you will see all 5 star reviews but my experience here was a nightmare. I was quoted a price for a tattoo and after the first session he changed his pricing to nearly three times more. Additionally, he never disclosed a his hidden fees. He is extremely unclear w/everything. He charges to use your credit card and to reschedule, which would be fine had he disclosed that information in the beginning. I had an unexpected death in my family and he had NO compassion and said that it would be 25 dollars to reschedule on top of the fact that he lied about the price of the tattoo. He said it would be "about" 1000 for the total cost. That was how much the first visit was. It felt like he new once he started I would have no choice but to pay whatever he decided to change it to because who wants an unfinished tattoo on their body? The professional and ethical behavior displayed by this artist was awful. I would never do this to any of my clients. Now because of this situation, no other artist will touch the tattoo so I have to pay to remove it which is costing me a fortune. I cant begin to tell you how much this has burdened me and my family's life. Be very careful and get everything in writing. I wouldn't wish this situation on my worst enemy. read more
