I walked in and told the first sales person I saw that I needed some clothes to wear for walking around Paris for two weeks. What followed has never, ever, in any other store, been my experience. Yes, a sales clerk kept close tabs on me and offered to put the first couple of things I picked up in a dressing room. I was happy to let her do that. Three hours--that's not a typo--later, I left with numerous items of clothing: long pants, t-shirts that beat any t-shirts I had bought elsewhere, a couple of other things--and a sales slip with a total that showed a little under $600. I almost gasped! But my wardrobe was sadly depleted, I was older with a body that was changing, I needed the clothes, and (thankfully) we could afford the haul. I was pleased with the quality of the clothes; mostly, I was exhausted! I had planned to drive clear across town to a different shopping mall. But I was about to pass the Crossroads Festival strip mall, saw the Eileen's name, and decided, "This time, I'm going in there!" I was so glad I had!

I told her I look for support, slightly padded, and not too frilly. She measured me and said, "I'll be right back, I know the perfect bra for you" A little excited to see what she would return with, she came back to the dressing room with pieces of string that she claimed were bras. Not a one was supportive or padded, and there was lace all over. I told her those are not the types of bra I wear and off, she went to go grab a few more. This circus lasted for 4 returns to the dressing room until finally she went to get her manager, Margo. In the 3 minutes that Margo was in the dressing room, she left to come back with an appropriate bra. Margo was extremely helpful and made me feel like I wasn't wasting my time. Unfortunately, this boutique doesn't cater to plus sizes and I had to special order a bra in my size. Took a chance and after 2 weeks came back to try on. They weren't perfect, but would work, otherwise my only other option would be store credit that I would spend in friends because of their limited large sizes. A suggestion. Teach your staff the importance of listening to their customers so they are not bringing bras to you that are inappropriate or nothing at all what is being described. A word of caution to other plus size gals. Their selection is very limited. They have a no return policy only store credit. I took a leap of faith and special ordered 2 bras that I can live with. Had those been in stock when I was fitted, I would have passed on them.

I knew my bra size had changed. I was able to book a fitting on the shop's Facebook page and it was confirmed shortly after. Although the shop was very busy, which I thought was a good sign, the owner checked me continuously to let me know I hadn't be forgotten. Once it was my turn for the fitting, I was asked what size bra I currently wore and I was measured. I was shocked when I was told my cup size had changed two sizes. Even more shocked when the correct bra size fit as well as it did. The woman who did my fitting as well as the owner were very knowledgeable regarding the fit of bras and what company made the best bras to fit you. I was shown different ways to put on my bra, I only knew the tried and true method that was taught to me many years ago. I was so happy with the newly sized bra that I walked out with it on and donated my old bra to a charity the shop supports. You will experience sticker shock when purchasing, but it is worth it.
