Having been a client at this veterinary practice for over 30 yrs plus with many pets having been seen and treated well, I have to say that the very last consultation with this practice lead me to believe that the standard of Customer Service had gone and that the focus had shifted from being a vet to an accountant by making as much money out of the client as possible no matter what, earlier this year we took one of our cats to be treated, he had slipped off a fence and injured his hind leg (knee), having spoken with one vet it was decided to bring him back a day later for an x-ray to access the damage, we explained we were on a tight budget and this seemed to be no problem, however, when we went to pick the cat up we were met with a huge out of budget bill. the vet then tried to convince us that the cat need to have a knee implant which would cost over £1800, this we declined, the next option offered was to amputate a healthy leg at £800 this we questioned and declined the play on this was that the vets were adamant that the cruciate ligament had snapped, the third option and the less profitable for the vets was time as a healer at £0 cost which we opted for, we were made to feel very uncomfortable with our decision, staff congregated behind the reception desk and were clearly discussing our inability to pay the out of budget bill which we questioned, we were not shown any x-rays of the injured hind leg which was a little unusual as in the past they used to, also on the bill I was charged for extra anaesthetic no signs of where it was administered, the medication that was dispensed was just handed over no explanation of how it should be used, luckily enough having used this medication in the past we knew what to do, the bill was settled but the feeling that this practice left me with was that they were now only interested in money, and making a profit, customer service has now gone. We used to recommend this practice highly not anymore read more
