I'd like to see some new equipment, and have some of the existing equipment repaired or replaced. But, there's really good bones, here. Having opted for a family membership with my partner, we've brought my spawn here several times. The kids space is pretty well set up. It would be nice if it were staffed a little more. I'd actually say that's one of the things the space lacks, is clear staffing. Everyone I've met so far has been friendly, and helpful. Very nice. The location is really central. Parking is the only real pain, weekends are pretty convenient. Lots of nearby food and beverage. Nibble moved in right next door. It's a great space.

So I'll just get straight to the pros and cons . Pros : Great selection of clothing. (Better than the one on western Ave.) Friendly staff. Pricing is great. Yellow tag = 1/2 the pricing Cons: Unclean dressing room. Dressing room hours (locked at 5:30pm) Some jackets had tissue packets , coins left in them from the previous owner who donated the items. I will change my rating once this store (management), cares enough to clean the dressing room. When I went into the dressing room to try on some jackets, it was gross. Dust, papers, dirt everywhere. Hangers thrown all over the place. It was so bad I didn't even want to take off my own jacket I walked into the store with to hang it up. I know not every goodwill is like this. Please ... take some Clorox wipes, vacuum, glass cleaner and wipe down the dressing rooms. I'm bringing this up because this is a sanitary concern at this point.

This review is regarding volunteer experiences at the Regional Food Bank…read more I've volunteered at the food bank about 8 times with a service organization (we have an ongoing monthly "date" scheduled with them) and overall my experience there has been positive. The people are generally friendly and flexible. Volunteer duties generally involve sorting and re-packaging donated goods for distribution to local charities. If you're looking for ways to contribute to the community, this is a good place to go. Approximately 75% of the food bank's labor hours are provided by volunteers so they're open and appreciative of volunteers.

This is an excellent place to volunteer. You email them to sign up, they get back to you in a…read morereasonable amount of time. When you show up they are ready for you with a plan and they are thankful for your help. There is plenty of work to do while you are there so you feel like you are making a difference but they do not compel you to stay longer than your assigned shift- which I appreciate. You work hard for the time you are their and they respect your time. They do great work in the community and I am happy to have helped them out on three occasions now. I look forward to returning.

The workers are always nice here. It's a really big space and is organized. They do try to…read moreseparate different types of clothes - like pants from shorts etc. It's usually semi messy with clothes falling on the floor off of the racks. Some other stores have clothes jammed in tight on each rack - but not here. It's full but not jammed full. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. The stuff is really hit or miss. Sometimes you find great items and other times it seems to be lots of clothes that are torn or stained. Kinda just how thrifting seems to be.

It doesn't wait to give employees toilet paper until some is donated. It doesn't look down on its employees for not being able to put 85 pieces of clothing away correctly in under 5 mins. Have you EVER seen ANYTHING in the community sponsored by Goodwill? No. Sponsored by Salvation Army? 100%. They do what they say they will. Goodwill won't give discounts to not-for-profits that want to give homeless women and children boots in the winter. I was the cashier-I saw this happen first hand and quit because of it. Salvation Army is an important part of the community and I always will shop there/donate.

It is much older and smaller than many of the other Y branches in the region so it has a cozy feel. The pool isn't regulation size and the there is neither handicap access nor an elevator. The members are friendly and respectful of each other. Around mid-morning, a lot of older people use the facility, usually taking part in swimming classes, pilates, cardio equipment, or just visiting in the lobby with some coffee. This Y is I believe the only branch with racquetball courts, which are hard to find these days and greatly appreciated. The sauna is nice and the steam room is, ahem, intense so brace yourself!
