In 2016 Gary Gibbons and Cindy Gibbons, owners of Connect Medical in Oneida, NY processed unauthorized charges totaling over $15,000 to my Medical Expense card - WITHOUT my knowledge, permission, or authorization. The reason they were able to do this was because I was a regular customer, and they had my Medical Expense Card (VISA), on file with them. The items that were charged were never ordered, nor were they sent to me, nor was I even notified that this had been done. It was discovered when my taxes were done in spring 2017. After many calls, emails, and a face to face meeting with witnesses, Connect made a couple of refund credits, but then stopped. I had to involve the local police, the BBB and the Attorney General. Finally, I had to hire an attorney, which I really couldn't afford. It took until December 2019, but I finally got a judgement against Gary Gibbons, Cindy Gibbons, and Connect Medical for the full amount plus interest. Gibbons/Connect made no payments on this judgement. Finally in August 2020, after I discovered that Gary Gibbons was a board member of a local charity that helped the disabled, I contacted the charity. I felt that they should know what kind of person they had on their board. Almost immediately after that, Gary Gibbons, VERY IRATE, sent a large check which covered about two thirds of the total owed. Gary was advised multiple times of the balance left owing on the judgement, but there has been no movement on his part to clear this debt. At this time, Gibbons/Connect still owes me over $6,000. Gary Gibbons won't respond, and the attorney that he told me to deal with, says he no longer represents Mr Gibbons or Connect Medical. I don't really want to post copies of the judgement or other supporting documentation, but will be happy do so if Gibbons or Connect tries to deny this information. read more
