I even got a nickname there which truly made me feel like I belonged. Also, I find the prices to be reasonable which is appreciative! I cant speak highly enough about Jodi. He has a great energy, is kind and incredibly knowledgeable. I feel his lessons progressed me far! After 10 sessions, I know proper form, can read music and can play one of my favorite songs on the kit! Just an FYI, you may need to park along the side walk across street. No biggie.

Summit Studios provided me with a solid technical foundation and also gave me the confidence to pursue a career in music, which includes undergraduate and graduate degrees in Voice/Opera Performance and professional work with companies such as Ohio Light Opera, Wolf Trap Opera, Seattle Opera, and Santa Fe Opera. I had never even HEARD opera before studying at Summit Studios, but my knowledgeable teacher heard the potential in my voice and steered me in the best possible direction. My son enjoyed the class, but we weren't getting much out of it other than fun...which is GREAT and I would fine with with paying for an activity just for fun, but for $50/class, I was hoping he would learn more - which I think he would if he were a little older. It proved challenging because sometimes it would be a very small group of 2 or 3 students and it would seem like he was getting good instruction and other times the studio would be packed with kids without much individual attention and some kids were very disruptive to the class. Again, totally normal for young kids, but too much to pay in my opinion for that age range for what they got out of it. I will gladly pay that when he is a little older and able to get more out of the classes. I'd recommend this place to older kiddos and teenagers, it really is a cool spot!

They focus on technique as well as performance, doing so in a fun, positive way that allows the kids to grow and improve at their own pace. Miss Shari is super organized and keeps dancers and parents well informed so that things flow smoothly. But what we love most of all is the culture at GDC. The teachers genuinely care about the kids as whole people. They are kind, caring, and inclusive with a desire for every kid to shine, work hard, and be their best. Good sportsmanship and positivity are modeled from the top and expected from all. We could not ask for a better dance family. I highly recommend GDC!

Not only is the owner and staff compassionate and dedicated, they also know how to teach. The girls do not play for an hour (like at many dance studios) - they learn to dance. Every Christmas and birthday- all my girls want is for me to allow them to take another dance class the following year. They absolutely loved that they are challenged, that they are encouraged and that they have to work together with their team mates. The recital is amazing (and so am someone who hates sitting through things like that) and it's only every other year.
