One of my favorite bar/restaurants in the area. Classic; been here for years. Food is great always home-made with fresh ingredients. NEW to the menu (on occasion) is smoked bar-b-que. Really, really good! Yesterday I had smoked St. Louis ribs. So good, so juicy that you don't even need to use your hands to eat. The meat literally falls off the bone with just a fork. Getting hungry again just thinking about it. Homemade baked beans and French fries out of this world. Another nice touch, you can get a half size order. Try it sometime. Pretty sure you're gonna enjoy. Check ahead though to make sure bbq is on the menu for that day.

Came here after a day in Manchester geocaching & flying kites with the kids. We were famished and in search of pizza. When the place we tried to go to had a 30 minute wait, we ventured to restaurant.com and ended up here. From the outside appearance, I wasn't sure if this place would be appropriate for kids, and after 9pm it's probably not, but at 6pm it was fine and the inside was actually nicely appointed for a meal. We were sat, and immediately the host asked if we were using a restaurant.com certificate (they must get alot), i replied, "Yes", and we were handed "coupon menus". Coupon menus?? WTF. I asked my brother-in-law to reach behind him and get me a "regular" menu, as i suspected they were raising the prices or something. They weren't, phew! But they were restricting some of the higher priced dishes, like Filet Mignon. If one were to use a $25 GC from restaurant.com, and order the filet, and 2 beers, you could walk out w/ tax & tip for about $16 (that's a steal). So we settled on shared apps for the table. Buffalo wings, nachos & sausage grinder. Everything was pretty delicious. The wings were perfectly spicy and crispy, but still tender & juicy on the inside. The sausage grinder had great flavor, and the sauce was really good. The nachos were exactly how nachos should be, piled high, still crispy and not drowned in toppings, but not skimped either. Service wasn't exactly outgoing, but was prompt & courteous. $33 w/ tax & tip after our $25 GC, not a bad deal. If i'm in the area i would return.

Back in the day bar. Like going back in time. Definitely a locals bar. but they were very friendly to this non-local. I wasn't planning on eating and then I found Escargot on the menu. Snails are very difficult to find these days. They were baked in a ceramic dish with cheese, butter and tons of garlic. They were delicious and there had to be at least 10 pieces. It is also served with two pieces of sourdough like toast that is great for dipping in the sauce. They have a nice selection of craft drafts. The barkeep is super friendly and did the follow-up that is rare to find these days. Nice ambiance. Plenty of off street parking in the rear.

Good food, good beer, and good times. DEFINITELY get the nachos and try the lasagna special when its available (about a ten square inch slab of carby, fatty deliciousness). There is one bar tender during happy hour that makes drinks strong enough for a good night.

I have lived in Manchester for a very long time, yet this is my first time visiting The Firestone…read more I don't know what took me so long to try this place. It's a painting, an arts and craft, a bakery, and a coffee shop. Great place for friends to get together and spend quality time, with great refreshment. They make their own bread, Cheddar scallion scones, chocolate chip cookies, sandwiches, and many other items. My favorites are the different coffees and teas. The staff is very pleasant and helpful, both with the food service and the arts. What a gem to have on Main Street.

Surprisingly good food in a pottery painting place…read more Been meaning to review this place for a while. Each time I'd go in, see no one around, then left. This last attempt, there was a bunch of staff around so I got the full experience. The staff were very friendly and informative. They explained the pottery painting side of things to anyone painting a piece. They had a wealth of knowledge in that regard, explaining how to get the best results for each medium. I wasn't here for the pottery, I was here for the food. So they sat at a 4 top and let me go up to the cafe to order. The menu is basic, egg sandwiches, avocado toast, French toast, coffees and lattes. Some fresh baked pastries available but mostly simple dishes. I opted for their French toast latte and an egg sandwiches with bacon. Also got a cinnamon roll that was baked that morning. Food came out after a few minutes. Not speedy but not slow. Took some pics and dug in. There's a fundamental rule that I follow when reviewing. "The flavors on the description need to match the flavors of the dish." There's sandwich did this exemplary. The garlic aoli had a strong but slightly acidic bite to it, which helped the arugula's bitterness. The egg was fluffy, the tomato grilled and salted, and the bacon perfectly crispy. The soft home made bread was almost too soft, compressing down to nothing after each bite. If anything, the bread could've been grilled to give it a bit more structure. But besides that gripe, it's one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. The latte, that's what took the star off. The coffee is giv beans, so a good quality product. The problem was it was extremely, overbearingly bitter. With a French toast latte, you'd expect the sweet to counteract the bitter. But nope, the sweet came from the cold foam and the concentrated coffee at the base led to straight sips of cringingly bitter coffee. After mixing the cold foam into the coffee, it became more bearable. But the damage was done by that point, and my pallet was shot. Had to dump most of the coffee. Overall, it's a neat place to go to. It's rare to have activities along with good food, and the staff there make the experience great. Not too much a fan of the specialty coffee, but the food is well worth the price. A solid food choice for Main Street.

One review even said the donuts tasted like "Play Doh and/or paint thinner". Let me say this as clearly as I can, the donuts and crullers we just picked up were FANTASTIC, as fresh as could be, and 100% wonderful. We picked up a variety of cake donuts, traditional Yeast-Raised Donuts, cruller sticks, and donut holes the other day, and we were 1,000% happy with their taste, size, and freshness. I loved their Cherry Cake donut! It was so big I really should have split it with my wife but didn't. They have 28 flavors on their website, baked in small batches with rotating flavors. Prices start at $2.49 for a single classic glazed donut, then go to $2.99 for a filled donut (jelly, custard or fruit), and then $3.25 for Specialties. For you big spenders out there, a Cinnamon Roll is $3.49, and an Apple Fritter is $3.75. These prices seem pretty reasonable to me, considering how big and excellent I found their donuts to be,
