I bought a used trailer last week and I needed it very quickly. This company runs extremely well. The salesman was very quick to return my calls, The girl who did my registration and processed everything was absolutely fantastic and the fella in service explained everything all three of them gave me their personal business cards instead if I had any questions about anything they were there to help. I Purchasing a trailer from ct trailers and it was an amazing experience, Unfortunately warranty and service seems to be non existent. I brought my trailer for the yearly inspection as required and I pointed out a small repair with my retractable tarp . Brian in service was amazing and tried very hard to get the service work completed. But after dropping it off two different times and leaving it for five weeks , I was told repeatedly told the parts were ordered , I finally just took the trailer home and now I am ordering the parts that should be warranted . My experience is that the warranty that was promised me with my trailer does not exist. If you just need to purchase a trailer great just don't expect much as far as service !!' read more

I needed a new hub for my utility trailer. the inside bearing had blown out and the wheel was riding on the axel spindle. I brought the wheel with me and got there 5 minutes before closing, I was about to leave when i was called back in and he had one that matched up...went to put it on and discovered I had a 1 1/16" axel and I had gotten a hub with 1" bearings... I considered that my fault for not measuring before I went down. I was there at opening to return or exchange. An exchange would have taken a few days as he didn't have it in stock. then he aske if I would perfer just pulling the 1" bearing and putting in the 1 1/16". They changed it over and had me out in under 10 minutes. Good quick service... read more

When I got there was $80 They hook the trailer up to my truck and make it 10 min down road and it comes off After waiting 1 and a half weeks they tell me there not fixing the problem go through my insurance company not right read more

The experience was awful! I went in this morning after going back and forth by phone and email having decided to buy a trailer from them. I decided on the trailer I wanted but had to leave directly from them and go pick up a piece of machinery I was having serviced elsewhere. The trailer I bought had no rings installed for securing things inside the cargo trailer. I was told it would take two hours for them to install for me and after waiting an hour and a half for the paperwork the awful service department refused to install the rings. I asked the guy in charge of service if I could borrow a drill to install them myself and he walked away. I can't believe I just gave these people 6 grand to treat me with such blatant disrespect. I was in a pinch and they couldn't take 5 minutes to help me with the rings but were happy to take my money and shove me out the door. read more

I had the best experience with Connecticut Trailers. I have a 21' electric Duffy boat that needed replacement of 12 6 volt batteries. At 65lbs each and 7' to get into the boat it was way beyond my capabilities. There is a complicated way they are all connected together in series and parallel. They did an awesome job replacing the batteries and disposing of the dead batteries. They also let me know my trailer had grease coming out of a wheel. Gixed that too. Customer service was excellent! I bought a new horse trailer from here which turned out to be damaged. Once discovered I returned it for repair. It took 10 weeks to fix a ramp spring and a sticky window. I was told 1 week turnaround. Repeated calls were rarely returned. Ultimately I went to get the trailer back and the service man was rude. He could not get the trailer out of there fast enough. Told me the window was as good as it was going to get. Did not even give me a chance to check the ramp. I would not buy from them nor have any service done there. read more

We continually have issues with the service managers that have worked here and quality of work by the service department. The service manager Brian seems to be struggling immensely and must be well over his head. We have called to make service appointments and he says that he has availability but then when we call to drop off and confirm time frames his attitude changes. He is extremely rude and unprofessional.Its a shame that Craig and his father have there reputation tarnished by the inconsistency of the service department and the continual lack of consistency and professionalism by the service manager. Would never buy a trailer from them again. I was in a rush and needed it for business the next day and it was already the afternoon. I'm certain the salesman took advantage of the crisis. My research later confirmed the 0price was about $1600 higher compared to other online dealers around the country. On the one hand It was a business write-off and insignificant in terms of cost for my business, but on the other hand the salesman should have been more interested in forming a long-term relationship than focused on the one-time sale. read more

Needed to purchase a trailer to carry my Kubota BX tractor to Florida. I walked in and told the sales person that I didn't want to waste time, and to just give me a price that was fair. The salesman wrote out an itemized quote on a piece of paper and I said "fine, lets do this". Easy sale for sure. But the commission went to another person named Justin because he was the one I first spoke with on the phone the prior day. I was told that I needed a new and different sized hitch ball, which was supposed to be included in the agreed price. When I got home with the new trailer I found that my old ball was still on the hitch, so I called to see if I could pick up the proper one that I HAD PAID FOR. He told me that the invoice didn't include the ball, and that he didn't know what receipt I was looking at. The fact was that the receipt I was given didn't itemize the parts or service. This kid actually argued with me over the phone and accused me of lying and kept saying they don't give away free parts. In hindsight, I should have asked the salesman for a copy of the quote. So this Justin jerk just kept arguing with me and being really rude. I even told him that I could not believe he was being such an abusive person and that he wasn't even in the day I bought the Trailer ($3,700). Long story short, I would never recommend this place, as like another reviewer stated, this kid couldn't even tell me how to adjust the brake system they installed. I own a business, and it is apparent that the management of this place either has no clue of the damage this kid is going to cause with regard to reputation, or they are of the same ilk. Unbelievably rude, snotty, and inexperienced. I found the same trailer for $1,000 less, but I had already made my purchase,and I didn't wish to deal with a rude and clueless Justin again. The guy that actually sold the trailer to me was alright...just stay far away from Justin the scammer. Trailer works fine. And to illustrate the incompetence, my original hitch ball WAS the proper one in the end. Too much time and energy wasted. read more
