But every day I feel grateful for the fact that the Elliot Lewis Center is in my area and that their unbelievable staff is in my corner. I've been a patient of Dr. Joshua Katz since I was first diagnosed with MS, and he's everything you want a doctor to be. He's one of the most intelligent people I know, but he's not afraid to say "I don't know" and to consult with colleagues and literature to get more information for you. As I write this, he's in Stockholm at the ECTRIMS congress to learn about the latest MS research and developments, and he's sharing updates with ELC patients on their Facebook page. He's hosted live online Q&As for patients, and it seems that whenever I email him with a question or concern, I have a response within an hour or two--even on weekends. And Dr. Katz is just one member of the team at the ELC! I've never met a patient of Dr. Ellen Lathi who isn't breathlessly praising her performance. I had my first appointment with Dr. Kenneth Gorson last week for intramuscular Botox injections, and I was so impressed by his ability to understand and address my movement issues. Their other staff members--from the reception desk to the infusion room--are so helpful and efficient that I actually enjoy days spent there hooked up to an IV. I'd be remiss not to mention the contributions of Jackson and Tiger, the very sweet ELC service dogs/mascots. I've met people who drive hours to get their treatment at the Elliot Lewis Center. A one stop place which offers patients everything from diagnosis to treatment, pain management and specialized physical therapy is is staffed by award winning physicians and nurses who are friendly and welcoming. This Wellesley facility is beautiful and if hospitalization is ever warranted the doctors on staff have admitting privileges to a variety of area hospitals. No one should ever have to endure MS. It's a horrible and often unforgiving disease. Having said that, there's no place better to seek out help.

Dr. Girgis listened to me and did the tests that found the answers to my problems. The problems are neurological and we have found positive ways to treat it. Due to her respect for me and providing the care that I needed, I have been able to get back on track, returned to work and basic life. I feel lucky that I had the appointments with her. She listened and truly cared for me.

Dr. LoVerme listens to what the patient wants. And I have found him to be very patient centered. I had as nose job, a face lift focused on the lower half of the face, and a laser peel 18 years ago. Originally the nose job was cosmetic, but when he opened me up it flipped over to medical because my septum was shaped like a "C" When the hospital found out and I was paying for it, and it was now classified as "Medical" they tried to up the hospital fee by 900%. Dr. LoVerme told them to back off and leave me alone, they grumbled about but they did. Dr. LoVerme has since installed a fully equipped certified surgical suite in his office so there is no hospital fee for most of the procedures he performs. Thereby saving the patient a lot of money. I have since had an upper face lift, liposuction and two laser peels I am going in to have my brow reshaped. He could have very easily agreed with me about doing a procedure that would have cost me about $4-5,000. Instead he recommended using a less invasive and considerably less expensive procedure to inject a permanent filler to achieve the same results.

The first time in they gave me an assessment to determine my strength and flexibility. They then gave me some stretches to do as well as exercises to strengthen my abs. It seems weaknesses in my body were putting more stress on my back. I do the exercises twice a week and the stretches everyday. They provide the routine. It is up to me to put in the time to make my back feel better. I would recommend ATI if anyone is looking for a physical therapist especially if the have back trouble.

I mean the ease with which the process moved, from appt setting, to examination/initial assessment to weekly progress. THIS team is the G.O.A.T.
