My husband went 12/7 and financed a Samsung tv and the salesman never told my husband that in order to return the tv we needed to have the case. 12/15 the screen was malfunctioning. 8 days after purchase. My husband went in to the store today to see what could be done and speak with the manager since when he called they said it needed to be in the box and we had thrown it away the day after purchase. Mind you my husband just had knee surgery and is unable to put pressure on his left leg from a car accident. He spoke with their Spanish speaking manager that treated him rudely with disrespect and had no customer service skills nor was willing to change out the TV being that it has not even been 14 days. Hello, I bought 4 new appliances from this store, and my house was not ready to set them up. The salesman #30964, told me that I had to take delivery right away or they could not sell them to me. I challenged that and was told that once they are purchased, they. cannot be held. I should have walked out. I had them delivered to a rental I was staying in until my home was finished after complete destruction from the freeze in Feb '21. All 5 delivered to where I was staying. My contractors picked them up on 6/30/2021. It has not worked one single day. I called Conn's Service number and GE service number repeatedly to get troubleshooting help to set temp, etc. 6 different phone calls and nothing kicked it on. A service tech said that the compressor is bad. They cannot replace it because it wasn't plugged in. The salesman who insisted I get delivered right away did not mention that. Bought a new GE Electric range 7 days ago. Soon after the Conns delivery crew dropped it off I discovered that it was so damaged that I couldn't use it (see attached photos). I've called Conns ten times since then and just give me the run around. "We'll call you back in 24hrs to schedule an exchange". I wait a day and they never call. So I call them again and they say the same thing. I would be willing to pay $150 just to never do business with them again. Don't be fooled by the low prices because you won't save money if there is a problem! I'm renting a uhaul tomorrow and returning the range and I will just pay the $150 restocking fee. If I could give negative stars I would!...I purchased a Frigidaire fridge and had it delivered on 9/30. I was instructed by the delivery tech that I had to wait a minimum of 24hrs before testing the ice setting on the fridge. As I'm not a heavy ice user, a few days went by before I noticed that there was never ice made. I ensured that the ice setting was on the correct setting and could hear the sound it makes when filling the tray but no ice ever comes. I contacted conns support on 10/10 to get service on the fridge assuming that it just might not be set up/installed properly. The technician finally arrived on 10/14 after I had waited 9 hrs from my original scheduled appointment time and several calls to their service number and unreceived callbacks. After 20 minutes the tech determined that the freezer parts will have to be replaced. Why is a brand new purchased fridge less than 10 days old already having to have parts completely replaced? Clearly they delivered a defective appliance. When I called the customer service number on 10/16 they told me that an exchange or replacement is not an option as they have to meet a certain threshold of replacement parts before they can deem it a loss. A brand new 2week old fridge SHOULD NOT need to have parts completely replaced if the item was not defective when delivered. They informed me that I signed the delivery receipt that says I received the appliance in good condition. Yes, physically it was in good condition and seemed to be cooling. However, there is absolutely to way to tell if the ice maker is working within the 15-20m they are there installing the appliance to confirm and to reiterate I was instructed to wait over 24hrs to confirm. The ice maker does not work and has never worked as confirmed by the technician that THEY sent out due to the fact he has to order parts and none of the troubleshooting he attempted worked. I have requested to escalate this issue and I hope that Conns does not intend on delivering defective products to hard working customers and not replacing them as a continuous business practice. I will be patiently waiting on this escalation call. update: they still ordered parts to home instead of canceling I still haven't received a callback from a supervisor. They are ignoring my request still trying to put parts on a damaged fridge. they scheduled someone to come to home without permission and knowledge!! It was price at 899 and after the store closed the price went up an extra $100 so if u plan to do shopping make sure u order something before Wednesday since the prices change! Gas is 100 dollars more then electric. We order are machines Wednesday and was promised are items by Friday deliver.... Friday comes around no phone call.. are window was between 11 to 2.. i called customer service to find out whats going on with my order they told me my order was delay and should arrive by 240. Then the warehouse called me at 215 to tell me a forklift went through my washer and damage the left hand side where the drum would be. The driver told me specifically they he ask to switch the machines out and the manager on duty refused to switch it and told him to see if we would take it at a discounted price. Which is unacceptable for something i pay warranty for. So key thing with warranty is if u dont use it in the 4 yrs u get everything back except the 30% .. so i refused it then i was promised Saturday delivery. Saturday comes i get a phone call saying they wont be delivering it due to easter holidays. So yet again i had to call store, customer service, and warehouse just to be told it would be delivered Monday first thing in the morning. Monday comes around and they deliver and when my husband went to check the machines the doors were dented. Driver said o its just a scratch. Like many other reviewers, if I could give 0 stars I would. Sales staff at this location is great, my issue is not with the store, my issue is with customer service and service department. We bought from this store, that's why I'm using this location as the review site. My husband and I bought a very large TV for our media room as they were having a great promotion (we also purchased the additional warranty). Less than a year later, my husband notices that there are vertical lines in the picture. He decided to schedule a service call so that they could come and check out the TV. We did have a service tech visit and he diagnosed the issue as "screen burn". He then said he would have to go back to report his findings in order to get an approval for repair, and that someone would then be in contact with us as to how to proceed from there. A few weeks go by and I receive a random text message from Conn's simply stating that our repair ticket has been canceled. I was very confused by this because I didn't realize that anything else had been scheduled after the tech visit. We also never had anyone reach out to us after the tech visit. I then decided to go on-line and chat with a live customer service agent for clarification as to the status of our repair. This was a horrible experience as I was then told that "screen burn" is not something that Conn's covers as part of their warranty and that it is stated in their warranty! In reading through their repair service agreement, it makes no mention of "screen burn" yet they continued to argue with me about it. Our big expensive TV is less than a year old which obviously means this is a manufacturer defect, and Conn's is arguing with me that it's not covered by the manufacturer OR my extended warranty!! Furthermore, our TV is in a room that probably only gets used once a week, if that. I also have more TV's in my house that are much older than this and have never experienced screen burn. So are they really trying to tell me that every single TV sold is absolutely perfect 100% of the time?! This is ridiculous logic. I get it if maybe out TV was a few years old, but it's not. This online chat took place on December 22, 2022 and since then, no one from Conn's has made any kind of effort to reach out to me to rectify this issue and it still remains unresolved. To make matters worse, we are still paying on this TV! If anyone needs a new TV, DO NOT buy from Conn's! They will take your money and not even try to help you if there is an issue afterward. I got some hellos as I walked in the most of them let me go and then this guy walked up and introduced himself, & I knew that I was not going to be able to browse freely. This team could not get anything right, the service contract created with Robert Love was for a new refrigerator and dishwasher with free delivery and a haul of the old appliance. Day one: no delivery no call. Day two: they called and advised that they don't have the refrigerator. Day three: they delivered the floor display refrigerator!!!! That is NOT what we discussed nor agreed to, it was not on the financial agreement. Of course I escalated the situation each day, but never go a returned call back from Jasmine (Mgr). On day five: I received several surveys and a congratulations email as soon as they dropped off the appliances. On day six: I received a phone call from Jasmine, inquiring if we were interested in using the remaining 8k on my approved credit limit with them. SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?! Oh, she was VERY serious. This was an unbelievable!!!!! We eacalated the matter, and sending a email to corporate to get this establishment investigated and these people held accountable to their unacceptable behavior, along with violating the agreement between the financial institute and myself. I'm furious to find out that after being told my new purchase of my bed would be added to my current Conns account - that's actually not the case. I have now found out I am late on my payments when I had not received a single email regarding my NEW account (which I was unaware had been opened & I was not told that after 30 days of an initial purchase a new account would be opened if another purchase was made along with a new credit line) I have not received a single email letting me know about an upcoming payment & only received a text & email DAYS after the payment was due. This store does a CRAPPY job of training their employees & making sure they relay the correct information needed... this is now weeks after the below incident and I am FURIOUS. So I get myself together & go back to the store where I speak with jasmine who was very nice & accommodating, helped me right away. We went back & pulled up the info & she found the bed frame I wanted that had all the bells & whistles for an even better deal. She assured me the bed was in stock at the other store and that it could be delivered the next day. I thank her, leave & I go and confirm my delivery via phone like they require. It's all set up great.. The next morning, 2 hours before the start of my time slot I get a call... "the bed you have ordered is not in stock and we will not be coming today" an electronic voice, with no solution or reason or explanation.. not to mention no way to get this other bed frame out of my apartment! I'm on my way to my brand new job, first day, I had found someone to be at my apartment to sign for me & they don't take time slot requests nor can you arrange it that way. You can only arrange by day & I wanted my bed 3 days now prior... so not only were they not able to have someone come switch the beds, I was the one that had to transport the two beds to and from two locations.. then come home & assemble the new one myself.. (I had my bf help Luckily, the bed looks beautiful now & I'm glad this is all over.. Mohamed, Christopher & Joseph were the 3 managers I dealt with after the fact & they were all wonderful. I appreciate your help, effort, communication, patience & accommodations. BEWARE OF FINANCING SWAP!! I went to Conn's because I wanted to buy a washer and dryer, not certain if I could get financing. I have been diligent for a year now about taking steps to increase my credit score and this is my FIRST concern in buying anything financed. This place helped me DROP my score 16 points!!! That's right, 16 hard earned points GONE! How did this happen you ask? Well, my salesman, Lee ran my credit and it came back approved for $7000, great! I can buy the washer and the dryer and not utilize more than 30% of the credit, I am good to go. As we signed everything I asked what bank this was through, he said SYNC Bank. They delivered my new appliances, service is great and we are all happy. I get an alert from Credit Karma and Nerd Wallet saying there is something new on my report. It's my SYNC Bank card. That's expected but what isn't expected is the $2000 limit. Which makes my utilization of that card 70%!!! I call and ask what happened! Well, folks, they work like this....I got approved for both the Conn's YES money and the SYNC Bank financing. The YES money had the $7000 limit, not the SYNC Bank. This detail was never disclosed during all the contract signing. Had I known the credit limit was only $2000 I probably would have elected to either only purchase the washer OR wait. I have attempted everything to get this company to switch me to the other financing choice and their answer is I return the merchandise and pay a 15% restocking fee. WHAT! I have to go through all that and pay a restocking fee because your sales staff isn't forthcoming about a change in financing companies or the change in the credit limit for that company!! Got some new cell phones for my kids at Best Buy. One of the numbers was apparently used in the past, and we have had ten calls in one day from Conns collections department for the past week. Sometimes the calls were all at one time, one right after the other. I told them we are not associated with Conns, we have never purchased from Conns, nor have we ever been into a store, we just activated this phone number, so please remove us from the call list. WE ARE GETTING TWENTY CALLS NOW. Thank God we are within the return policy for the phones, and will return the line to deactivate, and replace with another number. Before moving out to Texas, I have never heard of Conn's before, but they seem to be everywhere out here. A lot of people told me that you can get pretty good deals for electronics here and I have always seen their ads in the paper, so I figured why not try it out. I was in search for a fridge, washer and dryer. I walked in and all of sudden I had 3 employees greet me and wondering if I needed any help. I told each one of them that I was just looking around because I already had an idea about what I was looking for now I just wanted the best deal. The customer service when I was looking for items was a little overkill, with the constant questioning about me needing help. It was getting irritating because I told the one sales lady who kept asking, "I'll let you know if I have any questions, until then I'm just looking around." I finally came to a decision on which products I wanted, and let the salesperson know which ones I wanted to purchase. She was helpful at that point and tried to make it as easy as possible to purchase all 3 items. The one thing I do like about Conn's was the credit option and the cheaper prices. It is hard to pay it all up front unless you're a baller and just have an extra 2 grand to shell out up front without the credit...props to you if you do! But the credit options Conn's offer is great because you can easily pay it off before the interest adds up. So that's the plus side...the reason for the 2 stars is that everytime I go in to just pay the bill, the customer service is horrible. They are rude and very haste in their mannerism. Sometimes I feel like it's because I'm not buying anything and they've already made their money on my purchases so I'm not that important of a customer. Aren't you always a customer? Shouldn't you treat your customers with the same criteria you treat all your customers whether purchasing or not? That's the only gripe I have about Conn's. After weeks of hemming and hawing, the hunt for a fridge, washer and dryer stopped right here at Conn's. I was looking for the 4 door Samsung fridge and the LG washer/dryer set with steam dryer function. Besides having the best price, Conn's promises to price match. They gave excellent service from the moment I walked through the doors. Phil F. took care of the sales and knew his stuff. I enjoy working with people who know what they're doing. I was hesitant about using an unknown local store, granted they have multiple locations but I was unfamiliar with them. My agent had encouraged me to use them. On first look, the store's layout looks dated but they had all the models I was thinking about. They had the price i wanted and they did one better than the big blue boxed stores. They included the extra hoses and plugs that the other stores wanted to charge extra. Conn's also included 0% for 18 months. And the credit and ordering process was super quick. They delivered the next day! Both the Blue Boxed Stores were saying next week delivery. meh No thank you. Delivery wasn't free but to compete with other stores they offered the cost of delivery as a mail in rebate. A little bit of a nuisance but fine. On the day of delivery, a team of 3 men showed up within the earlier range of the promised time. Installed the dryer, fixed the outside vent and the inside hose to the dryer. The fridge, was a monster to install, they took the door off the frame and a portion of the strip from the frame as well. They left everything clean and were thoroughly efficient. Not a scratch on any of them. Even if I had to pay for delivery it would have been worth it. They really toiled to get the appliances in place. They did really good work. Well the bill the sent me had a extra $100.00 added to my bill for a convenience fee. They said that this fee should of been explained to me when I bought the product but was never explained. The guy was real harsh and rude and refused to help me out because I needed to speak to the guy I spoke to on the phone, and that guy was not working today. So I feel like I was cheated, My cousin bought an ac unit yesterday because We were tired of this heat and they had treated me decent at the store but then I get home and try to connect the unit and all hope went out the window. The plug for the unit is one I have never seen and now it's a Sunday and the nearest hardware store to me is closed. So I have no way to plug my ac unit in and all I would have liked is if the guy who was working on commission would tell me that I had to buy a different outlet than the ones I already had. I will never buy from Conns ever again! I will make sure My family and friends do not buy from them as well. I purchased a mattress from them the sales person was great he tried his best to give me the best price he could . The manager and the customer service department also distributor and delivery are the worst!!!!!Don't believe the price match Especially if you have good credit and you get the 0% financing they won't price match it. So I was told by Ashley in customer service that even thou I had recieved the 0% financing that I could of gotten a price match. Well I was giving false info and the manager didn't want to grant it. Also my mattress was delivered damage. My husband had already signed the delivery and the delivery people didn't take the whole plastic out for him to inspected. So I got home from work and we took the whole plastic out and to find out that corner where he didn't removed the plastic has a whole. I called immediately the same night and they asked me to take picture and emailed them. I didn't and they were going to call be back within 24-48 hours it's been 3 days and I haven't had anyone call me. I had to called them and finally the delivery lady ask me if I would take the damage mattress and they will give me a 699$$ discount or I can heve them exchange it. Of course I choice for them to exchange it because I paid a lot for it. So she said once again they will put in the other to get it exchange and I will get a call within 24-48 hours for my new delivery. It's been more then 48 hours and no calls and no one knows the status. DO NOT BUY FROM CONNS!!!! Shop around it's not worth dealing with idiots that give you false info. The wife and l were on the search for a new washer/dryer, which can be challenging for me because shopping is a sport for my wife. We visited several places including Sears. We would have made a purchase at Sears though the delivery time was a few weeks out. So we decide to vIsit conn's the con shop. We found an identical pair there that Sears was offering at a $200 discount. The sales guy allegedly checked in with his district con manager via email. Said we would get the discount. We waited half an hour before the con artist said he received authorization on the $200 discount. The con artist was doing up the order when he turned from his computer an said the price for each pedestal was wrong and that they were a $100 extra each over the marked price. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND DO NOT BUY FROM CONNS If I could give this store a negative star I would. I purchased over $3000 in appliances for our home that we were going to be moving into in a month. They pushed to set up delivery and gave us a very small window. They dropped off two of the three appliances but due to our issues said they couldn't install them so to call back when we are ready. I have called back at least 5 times and finally got one of the items installed. They sent an installer who was not qualified to install a dishwasher. REALLY for an appliance store. Now two weeks later I am trying to get my two other items installed. I've spoken to three installers who said they couldn't find my order. Now the store manager who said because it is so old the couldn't do it but he would reach out to the district manager. On hold for twenty five minutes and no results. I have spoken to several managers who don't return calls as promised. They have however taken my payment twice a month for the last 8 months. I am writing this waiting for a call back...no one takes ownership they just pass the buck. Again, shop else where. Well a week has gone by and I am not one step closer to resolving my issue. I did receive a call from the corporate office who confirmed my appointment to get the dishwasher installed on 6/11. We waited all day and NO ONE SHOWED UP. STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU CANNOT GET CREDIT ELSEWHERE!!!! I went in to take advantage of the July 4th appliance sale. I was looking for a new refrigerator. Upon my first visit the sales person that greeted us was very nice. I told him that this was my first stop. I wanted to visit Lowe's, Home Depot, Best Buy etc. and see who had the best deals. I promised him that if I decided to buy from Conn's then I would ask for him so he could get the sale. After all he was very kind. Well make a long story short I settled on the fridge at Conn's and that is when all hell broke loose. I filled out the credit app. online & was approved for. About 2 min. later my cell rang. I explained to the salesman that called me that I was already working with someone. I asked if that "someone" was in today and was told no. A few minutes later another salesman called me. Uhm....Im sorry, but why are multiple ppl calling me? Second salesman also told me that the salesman I was looking for was not there today. I let a couple hours go by and I called the store myself. Lo and behold, I asked for the salesman that originally helped me...lets call him "John" (not his name)....so I ask for John and he was indeed working that day. I went in to buy my fridge & a $1700 fridge was $2600. John shoved a bunch of papers to me and was like "sign here, initial here, sign here...". Im sorry but Im going to actually need you to tell me what all these charges are. $400 warranty for 4 yrs, $235 fee for insurance in case there is a flood. Oh and tax. I advised John that I was already insured against that and I did not want the warranty. He asked me if I brought the declaration page of my insurance policy. Uhm...no. didn't know I was supposed to. So he tells me to sign everything & then bring my policy in tomorrow and it will take some time to take the charge off, but it will eventually get done. I know how ridiculous this sounds, but its the truth and it gets worse. I then ask for a manager and was told that he and the manager don't really have a good relationship and he would rather not consult him. WHAT???!!!! Is he serious. That is extremely unprofessional. I refused to sign. I told him that I would be in tomorrow with my policy and he can change all those numbers and then I will sign. He started calling me at 9am the next day. I was so aggravated. I let him call 3 times before I answered. Why is he calling me back to back? If he would of just checked his email he would have seen that I had already emailed the declaration page of the policy sheesh. After talking to him, he called 2 more times to try and talk me into taking the $399 warranty. I really had to remind myself to not get upset. Basically I got fed up and he lost this sale. No one should have to go through all of this. I went to Best Buy and found the same fridge for the same price and the warranty was only $199 and lasted 2 more years than the warranty at Conn's. I purchased a couch and was told it would be delivered in 2 days. I confirmed my delivery and the delivery window. I sat home for the full 3 hour window with ZERO communication and finally called the delivery hotline. they then tell me it's not in stock. NOT IN STOCK!? and no one called me? why? I am fuming right now. I got rid of my other furniture and have a completely empty living room awaiting arrival. so I called the local store I purchased it from to find out what the hell is going on and inform them that I am very unhappy and what do I do now? she then continues to tell me not only is it out of stock but it is permanently discontinued. I went into this Conn's last Friday and 2 weekends prior. Let me start with the visit two weekends prior: As a working college student, I'm building my credit. I applied for $400 in credit to potentially purchase a mattress. 10 minutes later, I get a called saying I'm approved for $4,000 and to come in and ask for someone. Well, I wait a couple of days and go into the store. A guy with a tan complexion, kind of chubby, New York or New England accent comes up to me and I start saying I'm looking for a bed, but I've never spent more than $500 on a complete bed set. You can just tell he started not trying anymore and kind of was short with me and made me uncomfortable and I left. I go back last Friday to look for a laptop for my mom and to buy me a TV. Well, a man by the name of Simon approached my mom and I in the best way possible, I was looking forward to going through with him to buy a laptop and super nice TV. Well it turns out he happened to me be helping another customer, so a muslim/middle-eastern salesman came to approach us. He saw us looking at the TV's and I said I only wanted to look at a Toshiba laptop that was around $468 dollars. He said something along the lines of "What happened to the TV's you were looking at?" when he got that I was only interested in the cheapest laptop they had. Then he says that it was a floor model laptop and that it wouldn't come with the charger or battery because it's the last floor model they have and I said "well that's okay, I can order that online because I love the reviews it has and the price" and his response..."What about that laptop, do you like?"...are you kidding me man? I couldn't believe he said that. He was literally trying to get me to buy laptops that were way above what they are worth and to get me to go back to the TV's. I treat EVERYONE as if they had families and other stuff going on because you never know, so I'm nice to EVERYONE. But man, I've had it with Conn's salesmen. Other than Simon, I swear, they've all just been terrible. I'm never, ever, EVER, going to go back and I tell all of my family and friends about my experiences. If you're going to buy something from here, I recommend doing it online, but check other prices elsewhere at other stores, because chances are you're going to be made uncomfortable. You can just read reviews about Conn's on glassdoor, I just don't think their salesmen are trained correctly, because a lot of the employees complains are directed towards upper management. I really hope someone notices this review because Conn's was easily one of the worst experiences I've had when shopping for items.
