Beware of the salespeople there. They will use lies and deception to try to sell the extended warranty on products they push. Today on 12/15/2018, one of the salesmen tried to force an extended warranty on my elderly mother saying that they could not sell the product to her unless she purchased some extended warranty on the item. She called me and asked about that particular policy. My response to her was to just walk away from the salesman and go somewhere else. I bought $7000.00, (11/26) worth of furniture and the delivery date was (11/30) the bed headboard was messed up! The delivery boy was upset that he had to bring it up to the 4th floor and then take the headboard back down. They parked on the incorrect side of the building which made an even longer walk. He tried to convince me to keep the headboard. When my replacement came in the delivery was scheduled for 11-2PM, 12/2. I called at 1:59 because there was there was NO DELIVERY, and was told they were "running behind" I was stop #4 and they were on #2. Then they lied and said that they had problems getting in to the security gate at 1:40PM. However; I was on the phone with their customer representative at that time. But the driver DID NOT call nor go into the apartment complex for assistance. Now once again I'm without a bed for the 3rd day in a row! Do not trust this company, because they are dishonest. I would've respected them more had they just called and stated they couldn't deliver due to the delays. I request the entire order be cancel and now they are giving me the run around. Also when calling customer service that night the representative kept transferring me into cue and would not transfer me to a supervisor. I had to call the store who says he has to ask for approval to cancel my order. This has been THE WORSE customer service experience I have ever had. They deserve a -10. If I could give negative stars there would be an infinite number of them. I purchased a Bose SoundTouch 30 in June 2017 along with a two year service/ repair warranty. Then it broke 3-4 months later, just stopped working. I took it back and they were very nice and replaced it along with the warranty which states that it renewed on the same date as the speaker which is October 2017. So just under two years later this one stopped working and I went in with it and was told that no even though my paperwork states that it's good through October 2019 they will not honor it bc the original one I bought in June is the one they want to use. I paid $500 for this speaker and expected to have it for years and years to come. Conn's however " has deemed this matter solved". Conn's you know where you can go. But hey, keep on treating people like this. You only have two stars as it is so I doubt you will be around tootoo much longer. Saddened? You must have copied and pasted this lame response from the other review I left, very original. Why would you be saddened? You screwed me over and I have a very, very, large BOSE paperweight. And since you weren't even the ones that replaced the first one, BOSE was bc it was still under their warranty, that's why your employees adjusted the date on the warranty. Prices of tv's are hundreds cheaper on amazon and sales associates are horrible with information and push credit services which cost more in the long run. Got some new cell phones for my kids at Best Buy. One of the numbers was apparently used in the past, and we have had ten calls in one day from Conns collections department for the past week. Sometimes the calls were all at one time, one right after the other. I told them we are not associated with Conns, we have never purchased from Conns, nor have we ever been into a store, we just activated this phone number, so please remove us from the call list. So I got a Mac book from them about 13 months ago for a little over $2000 and had only $400 dollars left to pay off but after 12 months was up they Literally added $600 dollars of interest to my account. I called and asked why was it so much and they told me what they do is add on all the interest from the last 12 mouths and then start adding interest for everyday after. Looking for 75 inches Samsung QLED TV online, I found Conn's Home Plus has the best price on this model# QN75Q80RAFXZA. I went ahead and ordered it through their website. The Conn's automated email notified me that it can take up to 24 hours to process my order. After waiting for more than 3 days without getting any email from Conn's on my order, I called Conn's customer service. The customer rep said the TV I ordered is no longer available and she told me that I have to contact the local Conn's myself for floor model. I was very upset with her response. I paid for a 'new' TV through their website and now they told me to search and get the 'floor model' on my own because they don't have it available anymore. I was asking if I can discuss the matter with the manager but she said the manager is not available. She said the manager will call me when he/she comes back. After the call, I got an automated email from Conn's indicating that my order is cancelled without my authorization. This is very bad service from a big retail store. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE all around, from the moment you walk in to leaving the location the people on the floor are very welcoming and never judgmental. Me and my husband applied, we were approved for 1700 and let us take our time to choose what we wanted and salesman even told us whats worth the buy and whats too pricey to take a risk. He told us what would last and differences between products and electronics. Than Manager came over, opened up equipment to make sure it all worked before we left the store and his manager came to give us a hand shake to make sure his employees helped us appropriately. Absolutely terrible with repairs. Our family has not had a working refrigerator for 3 weeks. I have placed multiple phone calls to technicians and advisors. The technician that came to fix the issue did not have the ability to fix it the first time. We were told it would be yet another week before someone can come and look at it again. Imagine not having a refrigerator working and trying to feed your children. Extremely displeased with all aspects of this company and their inability to resolve PRIORITY problems. I worked with Ms. Doris at Conns in Webster, Texas on 23 Dec. I needed to purchase an oven before Christmas. The oven at Conns was approximately $450 more than the same oven at Lowes but I purchased it at Conns because Ms. Doris promised it would be delivered before Christmas and Lowes could not deliver until the beginning of 2018. Conns confirmed delivery for between 9-12 on 24 Dec; which worked great for me. At 11:56 on 24 Dec, Conns delivery called me and said their truck was broken & they would not be delivering to my house. I inquired about other trucks & was told they had them but my oven would not be placed on one because my appointment needed to be rescheduled. The delivery person could not tell me when the appointment was rescheduled for & could not tell me anything further. I tried to call Conns corporate & even back to the store where I made the purchase & got no assistance no one seemed to care. Needless to say I put faith in Conns and came up very short & will not be able to make Christmas dinner for my family. While on hold on the telephone with Conns I heard their motto.... YES at Conns. The answer is yes to their customers.....All I got was lies at Conns in Webster, Texas. If I could give less than 1 star I would. My experience with Conns was horrible read more

I bought what i thought would be a new whirlpool stainless steel fridge yesterday and just received it today for 1109.00 plus warranty total was 1396.00 from paul at conns woodridge gulfgate. Delivery was free and next day which won us there. Well my husband received fridge. He works nite and i had to be at work. Paul and the manager warned us to check fridge really good for dents etc. Because once delivery men were gone, it was ours for good. Well i guess i should have been here to inspect it better. My husband waited for me to put the food in fridge. It still had the tape holdin in the drawers down. So i removed them and the drawers had some jelly way in the back. And the inside sides which is white was dirty. We dont even eat jelly or buy jelly. My husband said he saw them take it out of the box but things get re packaged all the time. So that doesnt convince me. This fridge seems someone had food in it before us. If i wanted a used fridge i would of asked for a used fridge and a discount. I am going to ask conns to prove to me this specific fridge has no record of soemone else buying it before me. I think they tried to give me a used fridge. And now i am going to have a battle to ask them to prove this. I dont have the time and i hate having to argue and demand a new fridge not a used one. I am not happy. If i can post pics of what i found i will. So beware make sure tbey dont give u a used fridge but with pay the new price tag. Thats just not fair. As of right now, I'm not too happy about Conn's delivery service. I ordered my refrigerator on a Saturday, was told it would get delivered on a Monday and it's now Wednesday. I'm being told that it MIGHT get delivered tomorrow but no promises because I'm considered "long distance". Well, if you can't deliver in a timely manner and my city is such an inconvenience, they shouldn't have offered delivery service in the first place. read more

I will never purchase anything from Conn's, particularly this location. The sales team and manager are not transparent with customers. My husband purchased some headphones and was NOT told that the sale was final. We went in for an exchange or return and the sales associate said he was not able to process it because there were no returns/exchanges on the product. We asked why, he stated, "It's our policy." We asked for the manager and he was not sure why the return couldn't be processed either. So he called a Conn's "hotline" and was told that we would have to contact Apple/Beats. We did so and Apple/Beats told us to contact the retailer, Conn's. We were sent back and forth and it was horrible. No ONE was able to get us a straight answers. **** LOCATION***** Address: 8201 S Gessner Rd, Houston, TX 77036 Phone:(713) 774-2727 July 2015 I purchased a new slate bed and mattress set from Conn's upon move in to my new apartment. Early October I started breaking out with what appeared to be a rash/ bites that would come and go. December/January the rash\bites started to get worse so I made a Doctor's appointment because I was the only one in the household that this affected. After several Doctor visits and blood work the Dr. could not confirm that this was an allergic reaction. My granddaughter who is 5 months old spent the night early February and slept with me in my bed woke up with the same bite marks on her arms and back of her head. On that day I later found a bug in the top of her bottle and found out it was bed bugs. I immediately contacted the office to request inspection. An inspector came out from Pioneer Exterminating and indicated that I indeed had bed bugs in the actual frame of the bed that I purchased from Conns. An inspection of my entire apartment was processed and bed bugs were ONLY found in the wooden frame of bed. The first company came out did their treatment. I also contacted Conns' to get no assistance on the phone. I was advised that I would need to contact the service center and they would schedule for someone to come out and inspect and decide at that point. I was transferred to the service center for them to only tell me that my bed was not under warranty and there was nothing they could do. I also asked to speak with a member of management and was not transferred. I paid $215.00 to the first exterminating company to do treatment. I packed 93 pounds of laundry to the laundry mat to wash and high heat dry my clothes a total of $76. I followed all procedures given to me by the exterminating company. A week after treatment I am still experiencing bed bug issues. I contacted a more reliable company (charged $800) who came out to inspect and confirmed that the bed bugs are indeed in the frame of my bed and was also advised that they have treated numerous bed's purchased from Conn's with bed bugs. In the mean time I have been living out of plastic bags and had to get a hotel room for a week ($430) because of this issue. On 3/01/2016 I emailed Kathryn Trahan at the Conn's corporate office to contact me regarding my issue and no response. Here we are a month later my exterminating company came out to inspect again on 3/10/2016 after treatment to advise me that I still have bed bugs and they are living in the frame of this bed purchased from Conns who expects me to keep making monthly payments. After reading reviews Conn's has delivered mattresses that were molded and infested. If Conn's is hauling old mattresses when new mattresses are delivered that could be infested with Bed Bugs it can spread to new bed sets. What is Conns doing to ensure that the old mattresses they pick up from different customers are not infested or stored with their new beds? Because no other place in my apartment is infested with bed bugs it leads me to believe that this bed frame is an issue that is causing me much emotional distress. read more

We had to go and purchase another fridge from a reputable place "Lowes" and we have been waiting for the money to be returned. 6 weeks later still no refund and customer service is worthless. The worst service I have encountered in my life. From the sale associate Kendall to the manager managing him, no one has a clue on how to treat their customers. After completing my order, which I was notified that everything was in stock, my order was cancelled the next day. I rescheduled my whole weekend in anticipation for this delivery that I was guaranteed. When I called to speak to a rep in regards to this cancellation, they transferred me to Kendall and he had the worst attitude, as if I had him waiting for some furniture. I drove to the store to understand the situation, no one informed me that they switched out their mattresses and they wouldn't have them in stock until the next two weeks. Finally requested my order to be cancelled, since they wanted to sell me the display mattress at a discount price (where they do that at) and they did not inform me in order to receive the proper refund, they would have to physically swipe my card. So now I have to drive back to that location to receive my refund. The only person you should deal with is Victor, however I would NEVER purchase from this location. Try the other ones, I see why they have security waking around there, I can only imagine the number of disgruntled customers on a daily basis. read more

I went to Conn's at Gulfgate after shopping at Lowe's Gulfgate for a new refrigerator. The LG LTCS20220S (20cf top freezer stainless steel model) at Lowe's was $899 with free delivery but it had to come from the manufacturer and would take 11 days to be delivered. The same refrigerator at Conn's was $1049 but they had 30 in stock at their warehouse. They would not "match" the Lowe's price (I had the printout from the Lowe's website showing the price at the Gulfgate store) saying they only matched "printed" ads. Then they tried to charge me $79 for delivery because my invoice wasn't above $2000 (which is their furniture delivery minimum), but I pointed out that in their ad it said free delivery for APPLIANCES priced over $799. So I paid the extra $150 because who can wait 11 days for a refrigerator? Delivery was scheduled and came as promised and the delivery men were courteous and fast. On the LG "official" website their recommended price for this refrigerator was $999 so Conn's price was $50 more expensive than the manufacturer recommended. Beware of high prices at Conn's, but if you are needing an appliance quickly they can probably help you. read more
