If your thinking of moving into somewhere that uses this company, DON'T!!!. This company sucks. They charge you based on the size of your unit and by what your neighbors use. So my fiance and I lived in a 2 bedroom and our neighbors next door had like 5 people living there and we were paying a such as them. Basically this company is a way for cheap complex buildings to get out of paying water, trash and sewage like they should. We were paying about a $100 a month for a tiny 2 bedroom apartment that had2 full time working adults only. And to top it off they charged a 3$ service fee to pay using their automated phone system because their online portal won't let you in. read more

They charged me for an overage on my electricity for a time period that isn't even over yet. How can I get charged a "final statement/bill" for a period of, for example, 7/1-7/31 when it is only 7/20???? That makes absolutely no sense that you can calculate the total amount of power that I used during that time when that period of time is not even over yet. This company is a complete scam. They love to add on "Fees" to you bill as "service". Like a $1 service fee. I got charged a $50 vacancy fee because when I moved in, the electric bill was in the apartmenst name for 2 days??? Not paying it. Then there is a $5.50 "rent service fee" so I guess basically for them to send you your rent statement??? Then there is a $20 1 time account set up fee. this is funny, cause I have had CONservice at other propertiesa nd NEVER charged this. Not paying it. So with inflation high and gas high and the economy in bad shape, these pricks decide it's cool to rip people off with these fees?? The next place I rent from, if they tell me they use CONservice, I will NOT be living there. Their YELP review is 1 star with almost 700 reviewers.....Everybody can't all be wrong. This is a first impression. I don't like the fact that there's no cross communication between businesses when they merge. All files and accounts should've been automatically updated for the ease of use for the customer. Just tried the automated payment over the phone and it was very rough and clunky. I know thing get better over time but this form factor is already established there's no excuse for this system to be so bad. It wasn't reacting to inputs, no amount confirmation, no confirmation number after the payment process was "completed" and no choice to speak to an actual human being. This is very bad when running any business. Update: I believe the number provided in the reply is the one that I had found shortly after making the review. I was able to talk to an actual person after a short waiting period and make the payment using the same card of course. Maybe it was just a hiccup in the automated part. They charge 70.80 the first year just to send an electronic bill with a guesstimate how much utilities were in a building. That's nearly 6.00/month. Who picked out the name for this business? I guess that is an inside joke? I am all for free enterprise where the consumer has a choice. But obviously, consumers do not have a choice here. I've been renting my current residence for two years. I have been billed for multiple months at a time for electricity, water and sewer more than ten times. This usually results in a bill of $500-$700 with a ten day notice before the 1st of the month. I've been given excuses for these bills. I was charged for 10,000 gallons of usage for last month with a bill around $170 when regular bill is around $25. They said there could have been a leak. There are no leaks. All issues started after they changed the meter. I have opened 3 tickets with them but they keep closing the tickets stating nothing is wrong on their end. How do you justify 10,000+ gallons of usage without leaks. The customer service department is unwilling to do any research. Why can't they look into the thought that there could something wrong on their end? Reading other reviews here leads me to conclusion that they don't care. read more

Thanks for sending me a review request. I'm more than happy to share my honest opinion. Uninformed & Unresolved -- My Issue was brushed off and was not resolved. A portion of my bill which is an added "Conservice fee" "water base charge" that has nothing to do with my usage has always been 0.7 cents jumped to $10.12 without warning or explanation 3/16/21. I called twice neither agent had a clear explanation of the cost increase and basically stressed there is NOTHING they can do about it. First they blamed the fee on Gwinnett County Dep of Water. I spoke to a manager at GCDW which stated it was in fact a Conservice fee. The other agent stated there is some New Construction being done in the area which is the reason for the high fee. There has been new construction in this area since I moved here in 2020. Increases as such should be brought to users attention so that we are aware of what to expect in the future. Since my apartment leasing company RAM / NGI Southlawn Populous Lawrenceville GA elected this service sadly there is nothing we as tenants can do whether we are financially affected by the pandemic or not. THIS IS SO UNFAIR ON MANY LEVELS!!! I smell a class action lawsuit. I didn't read the other reviews until I wrote my own. Just so you know, my water bill and sewer bill would total anywhere between $150 to $220 PER MONTH! You just feel helpless the entire length of your lease while this company takes advantage of you. Our trash has not been picked up in two weeks I requested to have the trash picked up only to find out the request take up to 14 days. A month with no trash pick up but still being charged, this seems illegal. Also they switched our trash pickup days without a notice. This company fraudulently charged me for an entire year. Their meters were reporting 170-600 gallons of water consumption/day on days and weeks when I was not in my apartment due to work travel. They took several months to refund my account (after incessant communication), but my usage reports are still fraudulent. I could just say ditto to all of the other one star reviews.... But I have to vent a little. This company needs to be sued to pay for the overbilling practices that they have adopted. It is a disgrace to read the complaints, knowing these are only a few of the people they have scammed. Most people don't go to the trouble of writing a review because it usually does no good. I will be filing a formal complaint and involving a consumer advocate in an attempt to resolve my issue. I was billed for enough water to fill an Olympic sized swimming pool, had to pay for a plumber to prove I didn't have a water leak and almost a year later, I am still fighting (along with my HOA and management company) to get a credit. Because the facts remain: Conservice's dysfunctional website forces customers to use a username and password Conservice assigns -- then Conservice intentionally disables the credentials they provide -- leaving customers w/o a way to login to your website. Conservice's website will not allow customers who initially accessed their accounts using the username and password you issued -- to change their username using the (forgot username) tool. Yes customers can click "forgot username" enter an email and receive a link -- to change their PASSWORD -- not their username. Conservice's CS Dept is the reason why I decided to write this review. Suggesting I call them to correct the issue -- is comically counter-intuitive. Conservice offering the option to set up "automatic" monthly payments doesn't negate the abusive fee they're charging to pay the bill on the website or over the phone. I am a tenant at Harbor Isle Apartments in Stockton, CA renting a tiny one bedroom apartment and live alone. I am also an over the road truck driver who is seldom home, maybe an average of 4 to 6 days per month. My first year at Harbor Isle reflected this with low utility bills. My power and gas bill with PG&E are very low. And my water, sewer, and trash bill from Conservice was also low. One month after signing a lease agreement for my second year at Harbor Isle my Conservice bill instantly quadrupled. I'm now paying close to $100 dollars for my utility bill! Nothing has changed other than I'm home even less now, but my bill has skyrocketed! Can someone with common sense other than Conservice staff explain to me how does one's bill quadruple overnight when you're using even less utilities in a tiny one bedroom apartment, live alone and are seldom home? It makes absolutely no sense AT ALL! I know that I'm going to get told that Harbor Isle receives a large bill every month that gets evenly divided amongst the number of units there are. No, start installing water meters in everyone's apartments. You're literally screwing over people who use way less water! But I'm 1,000,000% sure that some smug Conservice employee will chime in with a nonsensical explanation. Seems like a scam. For some reason, my bill includes a $4 "service fee". Then I go pay online through a bank draft and they tack on an additional $3 "handling fee". However, they added it on at the last second so that I only noticed it on the "submission successful" page. Seems very sneaky to me -- what are all these fees for??! Usually when I pay ANY OTHER bill by bank draft there is no fee (I would have expected a fee if I pay by credit card because they usually pass on the credit card transfer fees). I talked to the folks at my leasing office and they have no idea what the different fees cover. A quick google search reveals that the company is currently being sued by some folks in Florida through a class action law suit for... you guessed it, "double dipping" on fees! I believe it...! By the way, since I only moved in 2 weeks ago, my first bill was prorated for two weeks. The bill was $16 + $4 + $3 = $23. So the $4+$3=$7 is to cover the various fees... if we do the Math: $7 fees divided by $23 whole bill * 100% = 30% of my bill IS JUST FEES!!! PS: it's a good thing I didn't pay this bill late. The "late fee" they tack on is another $10 (not sure if that amount depends on the overall amount on the bill -- that's just what they quoted me on this particular bill). If I had missed the payment deadline, I would have payed $17 in fees and $16 for water/trash/sewer which means that MORE THAN HALF OF MY BILL would have been fees. Urgh. I'm not sure how the people who own this company and/or work for this company can look at themselves in the mirror every day :-( read more

The lady placed me on hold, maybe a 120 seconds later they hung up on me while I was on hold. Little do these people know, I am the property manager for the community and the association has been thinking about firing this company. Well this just put the cherry on the sundae I will be recomending to my board to fire Conservices. On top of that I will make sure none of communities I manage are using this company. I live in a 5 bedroom apartment 1000 sq ft apartment, where 1 tenant is barely ever there and somehow our electric bill is almost 500 every month?? Yet when I talk to other people that have 4 bedrooms here there's is only 80-100 a month. How does that make sense? This is the worst company and the main reason I am leaving my complex. My trash fee is $28. My water is $25. My sewer is $18. And I am one human being in a studio apartment in Los Angeles.
