Came into this store on MAY 31 and found a great Robin Egg Blue chest of drawers, but didn't have help or access to a truck as my BF was out of town (and I was meeting him in 3 days) until we flew back 6/11. I made this clear to Lynda, the owner, and she told me no problem, I could still purchase it and come back and pick it up when we got back to town and she would make sure everything was noted. I paid the $200 and got a receipt with the phone number circled and Lynda's name written at the top for me to call and arrange the pick-up upon my return. As luck would have it, our afternoon flight on 6/11 was delayed by bad weather and we were not able to make it to the store that day. I called at noon the next day (6/12) to let Lynda know my BF would be by that afternoon to pick it up...only to be told THE CHEST OF DRAWERS HAD BEEN RE-SOLD (like, double sold, basically) TO SOMEONE ELSE THE PAST WEEKEND! Prior to my opportunity to re-iterate the arrangement we'd made, the whole thing is my fault, or at least not their problem, and it's clear Lynda 1) had zero recollection of me, my purchase or our arrangement and 2) does not properly note pick-up arrangements. First, I'm told that I did not come in within the "7-10 day window" and that this is "posted throughout the store" - um hello, I explicitly said I was out of town until 6/11, and how was this not noted on my item?! Then, I was told that people don't come back for "Layaways" regularly, in which case they sell it to someone else - wait, you call my full payment of $200 layaway?! Then she was blaming it on her "small storage area" - ok so someone's purchased property has been sitting at your store for a mere 12 DAYS (as they told you it would) and based off your "small storage area" you re-sell it to someone else for another $200?! To be frank, I don't believe they thought this was on layaway - I can't see how a consignment store would forget a $200 purchase (vs. layaway) of a Robin Egg Blue chest of drawers. I would think $200 makes a difference on the books...? Finally, they supposedly didn't have my phone number, which honestly I can't remember if I gave it to them or not. But regardless, if you are a consignment store owner who has a policy to re-sell $200 merchandise if not picked up in a very short window of time - you should get the phone number (!!!) so you can at least ensure you are an ethical store/owner and call first, before getting a double profit on a piece of used furniture. The only credit I'll give is once I got upset and refuted all of the aforementioned things she said, she finally said that it was their fault and apologized and said they should not re-sell purchased items except if it's been an exceptionally long time, and that she failed to properly note my timeframe for returning. A lil pricey but you can find some gems in there. The staff was pretty nice and the store is well organized. There is a dressing room. Nice for a quick stop in. Jewelery counter is extensive! Only take credit cards for $20 or more. If you need a mini hunt, this is your kinda place. read more

This place is great-has lots of treasures. I found exactly what I was looking for (a hall-tree for my coats). This one happened to be vintage, a fair price too. Lynda gave excellent service: she cleaned the wooden coat rack with special oil and made it look good as new. Exceeded my expectations. 10/10 will visit again. read more

Don't go to this shop unless you like being ripped off. I bought a pair of ear rings there which were sold and packaged as being new. When they broke in half two days later, I was told I could now have a refund because they were used/consignment. Yet they were packaged and sold as new. The woman who runs this store is a crook - her prices are VERY high, and she was heard discussing with a consignor listing a USED handbag for the original price of $625,00!!! Huh????? read more

Not a place I would bring articles to consign. If you bring several items to consign, you are not given any kind of accountability or updates as to whether or not your items have sold. No inventory list. The customer has the responsibility to go searching among the maze to determine if anything has been sold. You are constantly given an evasive explanation of what is due you and when you will be paid. Calling for info is no better. Just not a good feeling about whether you are getting what is due you. read more

Very nice people running the place, but they have far too much merchandise in the store to effectively sell anything-especially clothes. I brought in over 40 pieces and they only managed to sell about $50 worth (and that was after 2 months and my complaining -many of the items had the tags still on them and still didn't sell). I wouldn't bring any high-end items in because I dont' think they would sell based on my experience here, plus the shop is SO crowded its nearly impossible to shop. read more
