Lot of nice items from estates but a lot are priced high. They do drop the price a few times every month and it's shown in the ticket. Disappointed today in staff, found something we have not seen and really wanted to get it but by price. Staff said they'd have to research and call around but we figured it was too much trouble so we said no. Later on we were walking in a different Sara and the item back in the shelf with no price. Pretty cool place to browse or pickup a few things for the house. 2 floors of consignment furniture, household items, glassware, dish sets, collectibles, and who knows what other treasures? All are in good condition and what's really interesting is that the prices are on a sliding scale: the longer a piece sits, the cheaper it gets. Basically, the price reduces 10% or so every month for the first 3 months; then is cut 50% off the original price after 6 months. So if you want something (and hopefully everyone else thinks it's trash) but it's a little out of reach price-wise, it can pay to wait! read more

This estate sale shop is always a pleasure to explore. Wall art, carpets, dry sink, lamps, sofas, dishes. On and on. You seriously could furnish and decorate all of your home with the items available here. Of course stock rotates often so you should stop in often. Collectibles, crystal figurines, light fixtures. Smaller items are in cabinets. Larger items are scattered over two floor and usually easily accessible. No need to 'dig through' other items. Everything is easy to see. Prices decrease the longer an item has been in stock. Some include information on it's 'new' price with their price listed for comparison. All the staff members we have interacted with over the years have been lovely. You can pick up the item yourself or pay for delivery. They have a private lot near the door and another across the street. Even if we don't find what we came looking for, with all the lovely items they have available we always leave happy. read more

An excellent consignment store with an upscale and sometimes eclectic selection of furniture, decor, china, drinkware, art, and small household and decorative items for sale. They only take in items in near-perfect condition and items that are of high quality, typically from estate sales (as the name implies). Beware, this is nothing like your average thrift shop and you won't find anything for super cheap. That is not the point, but if you're looking to upgrade your furniture or moving to/from a new house/apartment you can do awesomely here. I find that since the furniture and decor are typically older, they are also made much much better and nicer than what is currently for sale in big box furniture stores. Think solid mahogany, solid maple, solid oak stuff that would typically sell new for thousands of dollars. Sometimes the prices feel slightly high for what you may hope or want to pay, but not surprisingly the prices (depending on who you talk to, when, and how you come across) are negotiable, but only to an extent and only for items that have been sitting for a long time. Good stuff moves fast and is pretty much non-negoatiable. The prices, regardless of what they may be, are always extremely cheaper than buying something new, and again the quality is better. You have to go to Estate Services with an open mind and can't necessarily go in looking for something very specific. If you're looking, for example, for a new table or dresser or dining table, you may have to take a few months to pop in periodically until you know you've found "the one". Thankfully, the inventory at Estate Services changes pretty regularly and they have new pieces moving in all the time. Downstairs features a huge maze of larger furniture items, from china closets and desks, couches, chairs, dining sets, and hanging art, to full bedroom sets and bedroom 1-pieces (beds, nightstands, headboards, etc). They will also sell TVs and mattresses if they are in perfect condition. Upstairs you will find smaller furniture and decor. There is a large area for end tables, some chairs, lamps, and decor items, as well as rugs. In an upper level (just a few steps above 'upstairs') they have drink ware, china, flatware, curtains, tablecloths, more hanging art, kitchen lighting and small appliances (e.g. panini maker), and way in the back are odds and ends. This is where you may find the eclectic stuff, although it is honestly all around. Each item has a paper tag on it that shows you when it arrived and the dates that the price will drop. If it has been a long time since the item arrived, the manager will take 50% off, but in my experience I've had to ask for this / point this out. I am honestly not sure if it is the default or not, but i've successfully gotten a good amount of things extremely cheap just because I noticed they were there for about a year. I think the price drops once a month or so once an item arrives as new inventory. There is signage reminding customers that sales are final and items are sold as-is, since you're buying used furniture after all. This makes it a necessity to really check the item out (and do measurements) to make sure it is a fit and there are no unexpected broken/missing/incomplete things. I like to take pictures in store just to make sure nothing gets damaged or forgotten during delivery, but honestly have never had any problems at all. For large pieces they deliver statewide. It is a modest per-delivery (not per item) fee depending on how far you live, and may run $40-120 depending on how close or far you live. They only deliver to each town once per week, and the day varies by town. Delivery has always been professional, prompt, and on time, and the items have always arrived wrapped in thick heavy blankets. The worst part about this place is opting not to buy something, going back once you've changed your mind and want to buy it, and then finding that it was sold! read more

I enjoy a stroll through the store every once and a while. They have many items like: furniture, plates, glassware, tools, vintage toys, etc. It is always a great experience if you can find a deal. Unfortunately, prices have become too high lately. You can almost find brand new products that they have for sale in the store at a local store cheaper (when they are on sale). If you are computer savey and compare prices you can also get a better deal on the furniture side. Every month, the prices go down slightly unitl they reach a max discount, which is when the item will be 50% percent off of the original price listed. They do offer delivery if needed (for a price) and they have a great variety on display on three different floor levels. read more

They have home furniture and kitchen things and a bunch of stuff in between. I got a sweet mirror here (pictured). Most of their things are priced so the longer you wait, the lower the price gets. Two floors of absolute heaven. Furniture, glassware, trinkets, old books, pictures, odd finds, cultural vases/artwork. I could spend hours, I think I did... rummaging through this place. My wife and I came here on a recent weekend afternoon. It's a bit hard to find, and even harder to find parking, but once we got past that, we were generally quite impressed. In many ways, it felt more like a museum than a consignment store (and I do mean that as a compliment). The old mill building is in great condition, and it was not the least bit chilly or smelly inside. Merchandise, mostly furniture, is nicely displayed, and runs the gamut from vintage to modern. It's not overcrowded, either, like some consignment shops. There is plenty to explore, with two floors, and it's like stepping into a time machine, especially with the household items on the second floor. The wife and I recognized several items we had not seen since our childhoods! You probably won't find the deal of the century here, although prices did not seem unreasonable either, especially when you consider that vintage furniture is generally more solidly made and of better quality than new furniture. The longer merchandise sticks around, the more it gets marked down, but if you see something you like and hope to return in a month or two, there's always the chance it'll be gone. read more

Great place to shop! I have been buying with this business for years, when they were on Factory Street and now. They have beautiful items priced very well. To the man who posted the bad review, try to go into a movie theater with a large backpack. Most businesses, especially those with small items, ask customers to leave large bags or backpacks at the front counter. It's not personal. I've been asked to do the same. We have been custOmers of Mike's Estate Services since moving to RI in 2021. We have purchased housewares, furniture, and tools, all high quality items at a good price. Mike's does not consign things that are not in excellent shape, so there is none of that catch as catch can, thrift store quality to the huge, well laid out space. We also have consigned furniture and home goods including art work, pottery, lamps, rugs, glassware, silver, snd jewelry. Much of it has sold and the process is easy. Personnel are generally friendly and helpful. Well worth checking out regularly for the furniture alone, but you never know what you might find there. read more

This place is incredible - I furnished a residential loft with mid century modern, high end designer and funky vintage finds from Mike's. Prices are extremely reasonable and discount even further with time. I bought a Jonathan Adler velvet couch - which retails for $2199 - for $600. My next best find was a West Elm daybed for $450 retails for $1600, a Bose Wave Radio for $140, and on and on. The staff is lovely: the cheerful and capable sisters at the front desk, Mike himself is a gem, and the delivery guys are prompt and professional. They charged an incredibly cheap $90 to deliver 8 pieces of furniture and arrange it in my place. I'll be back! read more

This is my first go to store for just about anything home. I find myself taking the ride now almost weekly for interesting entertainment in shopping. It's so popular now that it's sometimes hard to park but worth it! The owner has a great eye and his staff is helpful, informed and honest. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with this company. I messaged to ask about a bedroom set that was my grandparents. Mike asked me if it had been exposed to smoke. Told me wipe set down with damp cloth to see if there was any yellow on the cloth. If there was he wouldn't take it. I did as asked, called back to say it was clean. Took 3 days to get back to me, then said he would come look at it Tuesday, 11/24, at 5:30pm. Mike never showed nor did he call. I left a message at 6:00 that night and still have not heard from him. Arrogance and poor customer service. Will not be recommending Mike's Estate Services to anyone. read more

First floor is mostly furniture and big ticket items, second floor is linens, houseware, miscellaneous stuff, and others similar stuff. Gotta go at the right time though because stuff can go quickly. This business is simply awesome and amazing!!!!! It is located in an old restored fabric mill and massive! It just seems to keep going and going.... There is some treasure here for every style, decor and budget. Stock keeps changing and we'll priced to move. As at the original, smaller Factory Street location, there is a price-reduction system in place which makes things interesting if you happen to visit on a date when an item has reached the next "markdown". We have just purchased our 4th piece of furniture from them this week. We are very pleased with the high quality and overall condition of these pieces we purchased to upgrade older pieces in our home. They also offer very reasonable delivery rates if your own vehicle cannot accommodate the furniture. There is a very lovely and helpful lady named Anne who has been there on most of our visits. If we could give "more" stars than 5 we would!!! If your idea of heaven is hunting for consignment and/or well-made furniture at prices far far below retail then THIS is the place for you!!!! read more
