Cute store, lovely items but priced more like a consignment store. I might go back at some point but don't expect any deals here.

Lots of clothes, well organized. Higher prices than Savers etc but still not overpriced.

This is a great store - more like a boutique - good prices, amazing variety of vintage and current clothes, accessories and bric a brac.

I can (and have ) easily spend hours going through each section browsing through all the different finds . I don't think I've ever walked out of this shop empty handed . I love how often items rotate through the store . You can always find something you weren't even looking for . Or the item you were looking for ! The check out clerks are kind and helpful . You are able to drop off larger or multiple finds at the front and they will wrap it for you when you are ready for check out ( so you don't have to carry it all through the store ) . They are also very patient when having to unlock one of the cases. The downstairs area offers bigger furniture pieces , more booths , and plenty of books . They recently added more of a coffee shop ( or how we like to call it boyfriend drop off center ) with chairs , books , chess, and other activities as another way to pass the time . They have food , baked goods , ice cream and drink options. Today I had the Chai which was a little too sweet for me ( it's a powder mix ) don't think I'll order that again... I've had their iced lattes before and those are very good . The affogato was incredible again on the sweet side but it balances well with the espresso. I can't recommend this place enough and I love bringing others along for the treasure hunt . You can find so many interesting and affordable pieces or even high end quality finds . The variety is endless .

So many that it…read morewould be difficult to describe them all in detail and so I'm going to focus on one area, the Moran Family Day Room. Through my own personal experience I know how difficult it is to be a parent with a child in the hospital. When all you want is for your child to be well, you forget how important it is to take care of yourself. I wish I had know then that something as incredible as the Moran Family Day Room at the Ronald McDonald House existed. There are no stipulations to whom can use their day room other than, you have a child age 0-21, in a hospital recieving care. If interested in using the facility you simply have to reach out to a member of your child or grandchilds) care team and ask. As described on their webpage, https://rmhprovidence.org/how-to-be-our-guest/day-use-program/ , they offer the following for Day Room users: Free coffee, healthy lunches, drinks & snacks Home cooked meal every night 2 private showers 2 private nap rooms Fitness room Laundry facilities: washers, dryers & detergent Enclosed courtyard & welcoming play area Support from other families going through similar situations & dedicated volunteers 24 hour shuttle service from House to hospitals As a community we are truly blessed to have this facility within our reach.

I had seen the donation boxes a few times while out at McDonald's over the years, but never stopped to ask what the Ronald McDonald House was or what they do. Well, I was very pleased and delighted to learn about all that and more today! They are an incredible organization that provides housing and support to families with children and young adults who are admitted to the nearby hospitals. Not only do they provide beautifully furnished rooms for the families, they also provide everything from clean linens and towels and home-cooked dinners, all in a gorgeous and recently renovated three story building that is within walking distance from Hasbro Children's Hospital, Rhode Island Hospital, and Women & Infants Hospital. We were the dinner volunteers of the day, and worked together as a team to prepare a meal of macaroni and cheese, salad, and baked chicken for the families who reside here. After we spent about an hour in the building's spacious kitchen, we were given a guided tour of the House by Tina Ledo, their Development Associate. She showed us all around, including a family room where kids and their parents can unwind after a long day, a conference room that is open for community meeting use, and a lovely day room that families who are not staying at the House but have children in the hospital can use to recharge between visits. It was absolutely wonderful to see what an amazing place the Ronald McDonald House is, and to hear the stories of how they have helped families with children in the hospital for 30 years and counting! Thank you again for giving us Providence Yelpers an extremely rewarding volunteer opportunity. I very much look forward to volunteering in the future!

We had never been to anything like this or even really heard that much about it so we were interested to see what it was. WaterFire started about 30 years ago as an art installation that was meant to bring more people to the area and it definitely works. They light the braziers along the rivers, pipe beautiful music through the air and have volunteers on boats going from spot to spot, tending the flames and refilling the wood. There are tons of people there. Just walking and enjoying being outside and being together. The vibe is so relaxed and so peaceful but yet busy and exciting at the same time. It's kind of hard to describe unless you see it for yourself. We headed out around dusk when there was still light in the sky and it was a little chilly but I soon forgot about that. Words can't really express how you're just sort of drawn into the piece and beauty of this whole thing. I feel like this review can't even do it justice. We walked around for over an hour but our dog did start to get cold even though we had her in her jacket, so we headed back to where we were staying for a little while. Once it was dark and we were all warmed up, we headed out again because it was just so enjoyable to be there that we really wanted to come back. The second time we wandered through the street fair area and looked at some of the tables and street vendors. I got a really cool ring that was made out of a an old ornate spoon. There were also food vendors but everything was pretty busy so we ended up getting food on the way back to our hotel. There were families and groups of friends and couples, all just soaking in the magic and ambiance and ultimately we drifted back towards the water again because that is where the real magic is. We sat for a long time watching people float by in gondolas and watching the volunteers slowly push the boats through the canals, adding wood to the flames causing them to rise up. Everyone was friendly and in a good mood and strangers were chatting with each other. There was a real sense of community and peace. This was honestly one of the most romantic evenings I've had with my husband in a long time as well. We nuzzled noses and shared a few kisses to the music and the flame. If you are anywhere near Providence during WaterFire, don't even think about it just go. It's totally free! You don't need tickets or even to plan really. You can just enjoy the fire light and the music and being together in a beautiful place. It's absolutely unforgettable.

One of the Chinese dragon boats from the Pawtucket Dragon Races made an appearance as well. The event was very well attended, with many areas of the Riverwalk at capacity during peak times. Foot traffic jams made it difficult to navigate freely around the basin area. Lots of vendors and food trucks located around the RISD campus gave the event an even more festive flair. A great way to bring downtown Providence alive !
