Overpriced. Chaotic. She uses auctions for advertising and still over charges for prints. We…read morepurchased a gift package at a silent auction and then were still quoted $1500 for portraits. None of her pricing is transparent so you have no idea what you are getting charged for. She was more expensive than my wedding photographer in the end. The picture session took 1.5 hours. We did not want individual picture but she was so pushy we just went along with it. Then she will push you for bigger prints and extra bells and whistles. The portraits are nice but she has her signature on them. I will forever have Terry's name on my home portraits. Lovely. Just save yourself the trouble do not use this company. If you think you are getting a deal at a charity event, trust me you are not.

Is it possible to give a business less than 1 star? STAY AWAY from Terri's. We had our first…read morefamily pictures taken after 4 grandchildren were added to the family and the first in 18 years. First, specifically asked for an outdoor setting. She stated we should start at her studio and then if we had time we could go outdoors. We took at total of 2 photos outside. Next, we asked for specific family photos with the entire family and to keep the photos to full family ones. At several different times, she turned it into a photo shoot for each grandkid and each individual family. Her constant comment to any of our requests was "No, don't worry. You'll love it. Trust me. You'll love it. It'll be great." Having 4 kids under the age of 2, she refused to take candid shots as we suggested rather she tried to position all 4 and couldn't understand why they wouldn't stay in that exact Senior photo pose. MORON. They have the attention spans of a whole 5 seconds. After 45 min of pure torture, we had to force the issue that we wanted a family photo outside. Getting to the outdoor spot, she once again tried to start with just individuals and individual families. Clear your ears. So she obviously doesn't listen, doesn't take suggestions, care about her customers' explicit desires, or know how to deal with toddlers. Now to pricing and as she stated to me "sales tactics". Being out of town and doing this as a gift, I asked several times if I could get these digitalized to look at and then place an order. There is no way to do it I was told. When I suggested a watermark, she said that would take way too long to put one one every single picture. My mother and sister tried to facetime the pictures to me but unfortunately her studio doesn't have shit worth of a signal and we couldn't connect. Her cheapest package is $500. Multiple times she tried her hardest to push them into higher priced ones despite them declining over and over. I was informed by her, "that is sales. You have to push to higher prices". Once again.... obviously doesn't listen. She is also peddling her all rights cd for $925. Who took these pictures? Did Ansel Adams come back from the grave and take them? At hearing that I was going to get a total of 2 pictures for $150 and the same for my sister and the same for my parents, I called her to cancel the order. I called her within 3 hours of the order being taken and she refused to reconsider or even call her printer to see if they had started the order. Hell, I wouldn't call either if I was selling photos for $500 and all rights for $925. Handwritten at the bottom of the receipt is all sales final. Yes I know that is the all final word. She told me she didn't care what I thought of her. We're going to pay and get mediocre pictures that must be plated in gold but Terri's.... you'll pay as I'm going to let your terrible customer service, refusal to listen to the customer's wish, and completely despicable pressure sales tactics be known to the public.

I chose Rachel as my photographer because the pictures on Instagram looked beautiful especially…read moreloved the hammock photo- that specific photo didn't work out for me though lol. For the price of over a thousands dollars I wish I was able to get all the pictures that were taken but the package I chose only allowed 20 photos. Again, I made that choice to use her as a photographer even though I knew the prices. On the day of my session, only Rachel was present - no assistant . I am not sure if this is a typical thing or not but I've read that her assistant has been present during other photo shoots. The pictures after edits came out beautiful and I was happy with the majority of the pictures. One picture my thigh was extremely photoshopped to seem smaller but did appreciate all the bumps on my thighs being smoothed out. I don't regret doing the photo shoot because I have beautiful pictures that captured my pregnancy journey and this is going to be my one and only child. Prior to the session, Rachel made sure to let me know when I needed a break... At first I thought I could push through but I needed multiple breaks and Rachel has snacks and water handy. My mom and the father were included in the shoots and Rachel helped with poses for each pic. I think that Rachel picked up that the hammock shoot was not all coming together as what I had in mind so she did offer me an alternative look to use which came out great. She ensured that different poses were completed during the session. Rachel even took a picture of my mom solo which she didn't have to and it was a beautiful picture. Rachel has a closet of beautiful dresses and materials to choose from.

Updating now that I've also done newborn photos with Rachel…read more There are two reasons I'm taking away a star. I'm still a fan of Rachel (hence the Yay, I'm a Fan rating), but I also could see going with another photographer. First, she isn't super responsive in communication. There were a couple of times I had to both email and text her to get a response. One time she said she thought she emailed me back and didn't (these things happen), another time she had gotten into a car wreck earlier in the week, another she had surgery...I understand that these are all valid excuses, but they really started to add up. I'm type A and I like hearing back in a prompt manner so this took away from the experience a bit. Second, she doesn't have many props for her newborn photoshoot. I saw other people's photos where their babies are surrounded by things (like flowers.) Hers were mainly the baby and like a bucket (which is still super cute, but I also love when the babies are surround by things which add more depth to the photos.) One area where she really excels are her composite photos. She does a couple where the baby is superimposed on a backdrop. They are super unique and I love my Yoshi and bunny photos. I would choose this over props ten times over. I wish we had more family pictures, but that is a personal preference. We got tons of cute baby photos but not that many family ones. It seemed to be kind of tacked on the end. Overall, I love my pictures. I would definitely go with her again for newborn and maternity, but for just every day family pictures where there isn't as much creativity, I think my OCD nature would rather choose someone else.
