Very poor workmanship. My roof is less than a year old and needs to once again be replaced entirely. The problem with my old roof was there was poor ventilation. The soffit vents were painted shut and there was never enough. They tried to install new vents over the top of the old painted shut vents without first cutting a hole for air to pass through. The front of my home has no soffit venting. The roofing was done in the rain that included new plywood decking. The insulation got saturated and is now growing mold. I have water damage to the ceilings in most of the house. Come to find out, they installed a box vent for the bathroom fan where there is supposed to have a dampened vent that opens and closes. The crew decided to walk on my patio awning and its dented and damaged. Estimates to do the repairs are around $60,000.00. I emailed the owner and asked him to file an insurance claim to get this taken care of but several weeks have passed and I have not heard from anyone yet. I'm in the process of filling a complaint with the State of Michigan Licensing and Regulatory Affairs to revoke their license until resolved. read more

We just used Constantine to replace our roof this week. The experience from beginning to end was top-notch. Derrick came out to look at our roof and provide the estimate, and he was extremely friendly and professional. We expressed concern because we had a leak and because of it, a pretty bad carpenter ant problem and were in a hurry to get it done. They listened to our concerns and were able to get us in within the week! The crew was scheduled to arrive between 7 and 9am, and they arrived at about 7:05am and finished by 3. We couldn't be happier with the work, and Derrick even came back later that week to make sure we were satisfied. The best part-- the price was EXTREMELY reasonable. This has to be the worst roofing company in all of Michigan. Constantine Roofing installed the roof on our new construction home in 2010 (selected by the builder who chooses the cheapest and apparently the most incompetent roofer) and we had nothing but problems from day one. Right away after we moved in there was a leak where water was dripping onto our credenza in our dining room. Then the shingles started blowing off one month after we moved in. Dave Constantine, the owner, came out and hammered them down but did nothing to permanently secure them. Then ANOTHER leak appeared two months later after I saw water spots on my great room ceiling. I kept calling and calling and Dave did come out a few times to put a band aid on things but never addressed the major issue that the roof was not installed properly. There were no drip edges installed, the shingles kept blowing off of the roof (on a brand new roof!) and he kept stalling on fixing the major problem - that the roof was not installed properly to begin with - until the 18 months went by where the contractors are supposed to fix things on new construction. He was so rude to me, probably because I'm a woman (I am SURE he would not have talked to my husband the way he talked to me) and even said to me on the phone "QUIT F'Ing CALLING ME!" I wanted to sue him so bad just because he is such a jerk and so incompetent, but my husband said to just get another roofer to fix things until we need to replace the roof someday. Which we have been doing for the past 12 years. We've had several roofers out since then and at least two have said it is the worst roofing job they have ever seen. I live in apartments I suppose my apartment complex contracted them out to do the roofing work let me start from the beginning from day one they remove the old shingles and instead of throwing them in the dumpster they were throwing them on the ground my son got a nail in his foot a lady had shingles dropped on her head and they even hit a 10 lb Pomeranian puppy with the shingles that they were throwing off the roof. Now I recently just moved into this apartment complex so I was thinking okay they're just fixing the old roof and will be done in a couple days by the time they got to my end and I'm on the third floor all the light fixtures have shattered there has been the breeze all over my balcony Nails all over my balcony and the crème de la crème of crappiness there has been a nail in my tire for over a month due to their lack of due diligence on helping me pay for the fee of getting my tire replaced from the lack and sheer ignorance of picking up after themselves. There were griefing Nails all in the parking lot all on our sidewalk which is not only a danger to us walking but it led to me having a flat tire which could have possibly led to a tire blowout on the freeway hurting me and my children it is approximately about two months later that I'm finally just now receiving a check for the tire incident these people are so unprofessional they left all the roofing materials on top of my house because I'm on the third floor I could visually see all their junk their employees are rude inconsiderate of others and they even broke items in my house because of how rough they were with nailing the new shingles on I would not recommend these people to my worst enemy these are some low-budget cheap roofers that have no idea what they're doing and this Foreman or girl or whoever was with them all I could do was hear her all goddamn day yelling that is not how you conduct business in an apartment unit with many residents and children my child is not going to forget those words that she had said and to me that is not ok conduct your business in a more appropriate manner I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau an establishment like this should be not in business whoever reads this from your company you disgust me and I am most likely going to file in court do to everything I've been through with this read more

They put a new roof on my house a few years ago. They did a great job and it still looks great. I recently had a little water dripping from around the bathroom fan. Dave sent someone and he checked over the entire roof and fixed what he saw to make sure there were no more problems. It was still dripping so Frank came back and said it was probably from flashing. He said he'd be back in a couple days when the snow melted. I left a message about a week ago: he was out of town and returned my call as soon as he could. read more

This is a roofing company. They took 4 days to do our roof instead of 1. We have multiple parts to our roof, they took off part of the roof that we were not having replaced. We graciously split the cost of labor for the added project. They did not clean up their mess. We spent months cleaning up the old roofing nails and shingles. They left the nail magnet roller for us to do and a garbage can and broom at our house for 3 weeks. They did not finish the roof properly and it started raining in our master bedroom about 7 months after the job was complete. We are currently getting the run around from them about repairs. read more
