I highly recommend this company years ago and today! Since I wasn't a Yelper to be a helper back in June 2003, I will review for 2 different home roof and siding projects. My 1st comment: "Seal-Rite", Done-Right since 1967 and it shows with my two Roof & Siding projects for my home years ago (Still under warranty) and recently, Sept 16, 17, 18 at my parents and my childhood home in Roseville which is now For Sale. Scott the owner is highly skilled with extreme knowledge to details in sales along with fair pricing and efficient service to assist your special home needs for roofing and siding. His sales approach is not rushed, no hassle and gives great advice to help fit your budget and needs. When Scott is not available by phone he has Celena in the office on the phone to assist or Brenda who works now in the field to assist him on the road with estimates or claims. I first contacted Scott back in June 2003 for a roof and gutter estimate for my colonial home which was built in 1990 that needed a new roof due to poor contractors and workmanship in that year plus we had a leak in the garage due to bad installation of plywood and poor flashing areas. Pricing back then was under $5,000 including 5 sheets of plywood and a few areas of roof board. The brand of shingles they used was Tamko Heritage colored "Natural Timber". Since 2003 the roof has stayed solid along with the gutters and no complaints. Recently my parents house had hail damage from a bad 1 hour storm in Roseville on June 28. I was fortunate that my Mom's neighbor 2 doors down took photos and a video of the incident which helped me file a claim before the insurance company cancelled my Mom's home policy 4 months after her death. I quickly filed a claim with AAA and pennies from heaven a new roof for both house and garage was to be replaced. In 3 days an adjuster arrived at the house in Roseville from AAA to view, take photos and measure the work needed to be done with a total reimbursement within 10 days and I was told to contact a roof contractor asap. There are many companies in Roseville, East Pointe, St. Clair Shores or even Warren but I did not want to call business without quality and a good reputation therefore I contacted Scott to hope he could assist my needs and especially in Roseville which is not near my own home and his office. I called Scott on Sept 10 to explain my project based on a homeowners insurance claim and when he could start on the house. He called back and within 2 days we met to pick out shingles. No problems, no setbacks, no hassle at all plus he assured me that the job would be completed in 3 days or less to get the house ready for sale and to help with restoring a 34 year old roof on house and garage with holes and damaged vents plus gutters on side driveway and back of house. On Saturday, Sept 14 a dumpster on wheels was left in the driveway of my parents house for shingle removal and other debris. Then a delivery truck 2 hours later placed the shingles and other supplies on the house and garage roofs ready for the job. I arrived to my parents house on Monday Sept. 16 at 8am to be greeted by the 1st crew of workers 6 to be exact to Rock N Rip. "A K" was the supervisor in charge and he showed his professionalism with his crew of fast and hard working (Noisy too :) guys enjoying the cool temperature to work with speed and results. The whole crew showed great teamwork with details to their jobs plus organization from start to clean up. They used many tarps to cover up the front bushes, tree, porch and partial lawn along with the areas in the backyard, patio, and grass by the garage. The Tear off and new roof replacement with sheets of plywood was completed by 3:30 pm. Included in clean up they used a cool magnet vacuum on the grass areas to pick up any stray nails. Tuesday the 17th (My Birthday) I met the 2nd crew, Paul & Troy from Seal-Rite at 9am to remove and replace the damaged aluminum trim on the side driveway area and backyard area of the house and proper flashing that the house never had in the past. The 2 employees completed the project job by 12:30 pm. Wednesday the 18th a subcontractor company called " Preferred Seamless Gutters" arrived at 9am to complete the final touches with gutters that needed replacement according to the authorized claim. WOW what another great crew of 6 guys coordinated by "River" to get the job finalized by lunch time. (also a 5 year warranty) for the future owner of my parents house. They installed a extended style of gutters and downspouts to help keep water away from the houses foundation when a heavy rain storm occurs. Incorrect downspouts years ago from a previous company had been causing problems 20 years ago with slight water in the basement wall areas in the basement. I had no idea the cause was due to improper gutters previously installed by a company back in 1980? they hired. In conclusion, I highly recommend Seal-Rite = Done-Right! A 6 star review read more

I had an excellent experience with Seal-Rite. I loved that there was not a "sales pitch" I dealt with their manager and not a sales force. They were out to tarp and then replace my roof as well as add insulation to my attic. They were knowledgeable and professional. I am thrilled with my new rood. Requested quote for roof repair. Brenda was quick to respond the same day & said someone would be out the next day to give us a quote. Week went by & tried contacting Brenda to see if anyone came out. No response. Two weeks later, still no response via phone or email. Sent second email... zero response. Very unprofessional. If this is how they treat a customer who they haven't even contracted with, I shudder to think how they'd treat someone after getting the job. read more

Siding, roofing, and front door install was great. Could have cleaned up a tad better. Found roofing nails for months and actually now about 6 months later there is a piece of siding or something stuck in one of my front bushes. My cupola was put back on crooked (they tried to have me not put it back on at all) and they left me without my weather vane. Never did get it back. Now I see a crooked cupola everytime I pull up. I would recommend the company still though because overall they did a great job with quoting and everything else. Who knows, the guy who put my cupola on crooked may not even be there still. Probably the same guy who has my weather vane. read more
