My wife and I just bought a house and wanted to put a door to separate our finished basement from our main floor. I used Yelp to get quotes from multiple contractors in the area. Most of the quotes were unrealistically low (I assumed they would increase the price when they started the work) or way too expensive, and most people did not ask for more detailed information. I spoke with Alex over the phone, sent him more detailed pictures, and he gave me a very fair estimate. After reading his very positive reviews and speaking to him on the phone, I knew he would be the right contractor for our job. We agreed on the price and start-date and Alex stopped by our house to make measurements before he got started. This was the first time he was on-site. Once he got there and took measurements, he realized the job was going to be a little more complicated than he had expected. Even though he knew it was more complicated, would take him more time, and cost him more money, he honored his initial estimate. You cannot say enough for an honest contractor. So many times, they will under quote you and then keep raising the price as they work. You do not have to worry about that with Alex. Alex has excellent attention to detail and really cared about what we wanted. If there were any decisions to be made, he would always ask me and my wife to make sure that he did it exactly how we wanted it. He was very tidy and would always clean up when he left for the day. The door came out better than we could have ever expected. You would never be able to tell that it was not originally part of the house. Just wanted to take a few minutes to thank Alex Constanza and his crew for the work they did on our house. I initially contacted Alex to have some masonry/refacing work done on our fireplace. From the start he was very responsive, providing me with a quote over the phone based on photos and info I had sent him. Within a few days he came to the location to get a look at the work to be done and set up a start date. I was struck by his outgoing nature and ability to provide ideas on how to go about the work to get the best results. The work was completed on time and the results were amazing. We used a mosaic chevron tile which required a good deal of precision to get right. If you need tile work, make sure you ask for Carlos, I can vouch for his expertise! Since the project went so well, I began talking with Alex about a larger project which involved demolishing an oddly placed bathroom in the living room. We came up with a plan on how to go about the work and agreed on a price. This project was much larger in scope and would take about three weeks for the demo, refinish floors, structural fixes, crown molding, drywall, etc. I was consistently impressed by the hardworking, honest, trustworthy, and friendly nature of the crew members that showed up everyday. Through the process Alex stopped by often to check the progress and we were frequently in communication by phone or text. This was helpful because we were able to come up with some additional ideas and modify the overall plan. We added lighting, repaired the stairs, and even built a new closet in the back of the house making everything look so much cleaner. Sometimes when you're doing a major renovation you come up with additional ideas during the process. Alex was happy to accommodate and instrumental in helping me visualize and plan the final result. Constanza Innovation did a superb job of remodeling three bathrooms in my home. The project started with our two 30 year old bathrooms that were in need of a complete makeover. We added a minor update to the foyer bathroom right before we signed the contract. . Our project included total demolition of the two bathrooms including the removal of the existing ceramic tile floors and bath/shower surrounds. The foyer bathroom involved refinishing the existing wood vanity and the two remodels included adding recessed lights. We are extremely pleased with the entire project and more importantly the end product. Constanza Innovation has a tremendous crew who do the work. The onsite crew was led by Carlos who was there for the entire project. He was there on time, did the work, and cleaned up every day. They are extremely detailed oriented to ensure everything is done to the specifications. Constanza does not cut corners. They did everything perfectly and professionally. NO dust or dirt!! I couldn't believe how clean the house was every day after the crew left. Alexander knew that construction debris and dust in the air would make me unhappy. I found Alex through a mutual friend. I gave him a ring, we was able to come out and look at what we wanted done. We had a dull outdated brick surface in our living room. Initially, we wanted stone all the way up with the tv mounted. Or to be easy on the pockets, we opted for half way up stone, dry wall and then TV mounted. Well, Alex took some off time before we even made the deal. He sketched out his vision and assured we would like it. In my head I was already firm with the look we wanted.
