Full massage (private rooms) or reflexology (open room) available. They do all sorts of levels of pressure just be vocal about what you want or if they need to increase or decrease the level. Go, relax, have some grub on the many options up and down the street. Make an outing of it.

The two best massages I've ever had were by men... women don't seem to listen to what I need and…read morejust run through whatever routine they learned. I don't get a massage to relax, I get a massage because my body needs work, and I know what I want done. Yes, there's a language barrier here with SOME of the employees, including the older Chinese man that came as a recommendation from a friend. But OMG. That guy (don't know his name) worked MAGIC!! I was suffering severely from sciatica, and muscles all over my body were stressed out and in so much pain... I must have $500 over 3 sessions with him, but it was worth penny. The first time I told him what I needed done, and he did it. the second and third times I didn't say anything and he just KNEW what to do, he KNEW where to work on me without me saying, and I didn't need the same places worked on as the first time. Every time I left there I felt like I was walking on a cloud... he worked on me an hour and a half the first time, and 2 hours the other times. I tip him really well because he's worth it. Haven't had anyone else, and don't plan to. be patient with the language barrier and ask for the old man... 6 stars, really.

First time there today. This place is not a fancy spa but it's nicely and quietly arranged. There…read moreare rows of chairs separated by curtains. So everyone is very quiet. The price for one hour is $35 dollars (thank heaven), and it starts with a foot soak and a head massage. Then shoulders and neck. Then it's time for the feet. Oh. My. God. I was actually dizzy when I left because I'd been in so much pain in the neck and feet, and the massage released all the *ick*. I decided to sit in my ar a while. Whoooo. Will return!!

We visited Barefoot Reflexology in Watertown to celebrate our anniversary -- our first visit in…read moreover ten years, when we had been regular customers. We will not be returning!!! From the moment we walked in, two staff members were arguing openly and continuously. There was no attempt to create any kind of relaxing atmosphere: no music, no greeting that acknowledged we were there to unwind. The space smelled unpleasant, the lighting was so dim we could barely see, and the chair coverings appeared heavily worn and felt grimy to the touch. The foot baths were lukewarm. Throughout the session, both practitioners talked non-stop to each other -- again, no music, no calm. My massage therapist applied the same painful stroke repeatedly along what felt like a nerve line on my arm and shin, over and over, to the point where I was wincing and cried out asking her to be please be gentle. That did not make a difference. My spouse's experience was worse: her practitioner struck her feet and legs with a force and rhythm that felt less like reflexology and more like frustration with her coworker being physically redirected at the client! We were also required to pay before the session -- $50 per person -- which is unusual and, given what followed, felt like a red flag we should have heeded. I see from other recent reviews that our experience is not an outlier. That's deeply unfortunate. This was once a place we trusted and recommended, albeit a decade ago. Whatever has changed in management or staffing, it shows.
