Solid deep tissue massage. I was tight and achy from sitting in front of my computer all day and pushing myself at the gym so I was hoping a massage would be the answer. My therapist definitely knew where to dig to get all the knots out and was a great listener. When they say deep tissue they really mean it so just be aware it will be uncomfortable but worth it in the end. In the age of COVID, I thought they took all the necessary precautions with masks and sanitizer so I felt safe. Prices are on par with other professional massage places. However, expect a no frills experience as the business is inside of an actual house. If you are looking for a spa experience, I would try somewhere else. I had a terrific massage today. I made the appointment a month ago. They had great deal on Facebook and was a good deal for this great deep tissue massage. They have good COVID safety protocol prior to coming in and again once you come in they practiced safety protocol with an air filtration system. The space is beautifully decorated and spacious. Unprofessional! And not willing to take accountability. I show up on time for my massage waited 20 mintues at the door for her even called got an answer machine. The Masseuse Ellen or whatever her name was late, she did not realized I was her client walk right past me. I finally said to myself "that's was it!" And I left she calls me 20 minutes later while I get a pedicure instead and tells me "I am late" I said "No I waited for you 20 minutes"and she hangs up in my face very disrespectful self entitled racist pompous and failed to take accountability. Fantastic new client 60 minute massage with Serge! I have never been here before and have not had a massage in a few years. I called yesterday and asked for their earliest availability and was scheduled today for an appointment with Serge. He was extremely welcoming, kind and friendly, and made sure to tailor this massage to my specific needs (knots in my upper back that are a longstanding problem). It's good to keep in mind that this is a local business and doesn't necessarily have all the frills some expect with a massage. No relaxation room, etc. But that shouldn't matter for a quality massage. Two bits of feedback to the manager: 1) When you can, invest in softer linens. The towels are a bit rough on exposed skin. 2) Had a brutal time on the website a few months ago trying to book a service (particularly on mobile) and actually gave up! This was my first 90 minute focused deep tissue sports injury massage with Will at JP's Massage Therapy Center. Will was very attentive to my concerns and listened to what I was feeling during the stretches and strength tests. Since I had given detailed notes on my mild strain, Will was able to focus very quickly into the spots where there was tension. He stretched and massaged the places I cannot reach. Immediately after I left, my range of motion increased. After 36 hours, my pain greatly decreased. We worked very well as a team where I did my homework to give him the feedback he needed to provide excellent care. Finally went back post-COVID and SO HAPPPPPPY! Andres and his team have done an exceptional job with COVID safety. I was nervous, and the experience left me totally reassured. There's a text survey in advance asking detailed questions about exposures and symptoms. When you arrive (to a sanitized office and treatment room), you take another several page survey and sign forms attesting to your health and acknowledging your liability and compliance with tracing through DPH. Andres confirmed my symptom-free status verbally and with a contactless thermometer and sanitized pulse oximeter. I feel quite confident that no one is getting in there with an active COVID infection. And even if they do, the treatment rooms have air purifiers, are thoroughly sanitized after each use, masks are required at all times and Andres also wore safety glasses and gloves the whole time. While it wasn't my favorite being stuffed in mask the whole time, I cannot EVEN about how badly I needed a massage and how incredibly wonderful it was to get back in to see Andres. COVID=massive tension. Go get a massage! Unless you might have COVID. Then just wait until you're better. FYI - they can no longer provide water, so bring your own. read more

If there was a title to this it would be: "How to nearly ruin a person's birthday." One of the worst businesses I've encountered. I had a massage scheduled for 11:00 on a Sunday. At 10:30 I received a message saying the massage was canceled. I'm already traveling to the business. They could not have sent the message earlier in the morning? I'm sure they want their clients to be on time. So leaving my place early enough to be on time meant that I could to even get the message until the last minute (i.e. a few minutes before the appointment). No one at the business. Door is locked. A subtle message saying, "Go away." They celebrated their 10 anniversary of being in business by offering gift certificates to new customers whose birthday was within 2 weeks of their anniversary. I ordered a certificate to celebrate my birthday. This is information they had. It should have been important information. They sent plenty of reminders, with confirmation, instructions and did their best apparently to encourage my sense of excitement of receiving a hour massage on my birthday. But then all the excitement, antiicipation that they had stoked with all their message and emails was ruined. Destroyed in one annoying message. The owner said the scheduled masseur called in sick. Why didn't owner call me earlier to say that the massage could not happen today? Why couldn't the owner just give the massage? Warning about Gift Certificates: It turned out that the gift certificate (issued by the business- not bought by someone else) was for only less than half the regular charge. But that was never communicated. So, even if not canceled, I would have arrived only to be told either before or after the massage, "Oh by the way, you owe another $65 dollars." In 2 different ways, in 1 day, they have guaranteed I will not ever consider this place again for a massage. read more

After having my BBL I needed Lymphatic Drainage Massage ASAP. I was so happy to get booked with JPMTC! Andres has been amazing. The amount of education that comes with the massage is beyond helpful. Andres has been extremely gentle and professional. I'm grateful because I'm very sensitive. Upon arrival, you'll need to ring the bell. So, the level of security makes it already a perfect setting of comfort. You won't find them overbooked or people just hanging around the studio. Once you enter the studio the light levels are perfect as you immediately begin to relax. After completing some basic Covid questions, you must leave your shoes at the door, you are lead to one of the massage rooms. The studio is a perfect size. The cleanliness is everything. Highend massage tables, top-quality pillows, therapeutic music, and scents. I absolutely love everything about this place, the location is first, parking isn't always available in front, so you may have to work down, so arrive a few minutes early just in case. But directly up the street from the Train. OR the Bus. Which stops right in front. I'm about 10 massages in. Im healing quickly and I look absolutely amazing thanks to Andres. This was my first visit to JP Massage. I was having some considerable upper back and shoulder pain. Andreas suggested a deep tissue massage, which I was at first nervous about because I thought it might be too hard for the pain I was in. But, was I wrong. Andreas used just the right amount of pressure and had me feeling much better by the end of my session. Since we were traveling for the holidays I booked another appointment a few days later. Andreas was not available, but he suggested a therapeudic massage with Serge. Again I had a wonderful experience with just the right amount of pressure. Both Andreas and Serge are professional and courteous. They are interested in your needs prior to the start of the massage and are not chatty during it, only speaking when they need to check in with you. I've only had positive experiences in the few years I've been going to JP Massage. It's been a while, but I made a last minute appointment with Will because of some neck pain. Will was easy to talk to and assessed my range of motion in depth before getting started, which definitely helped prepare for a therapeutic/helpful session. Really great place, and the practitioner (I think the name was Stephanie) was very skilled. The office is small and no-frills, as is the massage room, but the quality was excellent. They have very generous first-time client deals. The one weird hitch is that you can hear the office area from the massage area, so you have two sets of clashing new age-y music sources, but it's not a big deal. Also just a note that they don't have shower facilities onsite, and their bathroom wasn't the cleanest. Overall, would definitely return! read more

Had a massage with Sergei today. He was very nice and professional. He has a good deep tissue technique and is able to lighten up depending on your tolerance. Unfortunately, he avoided all of my extremities. He did not work on my hands feet or face. I thought it was very odd. Apparently the fact that I asked for extra attention paid to my shoulder must have taken time away from those body parts for a full body massage. I wish I had been advised. I would have asked for full body at no expense to any part of the body. It's either that with a 50% promotion you only get neck to ankles or too much time was spent on the shoulder. read more

Tatiana gave me a wonderfully relaxing massage. Her touch, vibe, and technique we're all perfectly soothing. My tension was melted away by her intuitive combination of general full-body kneading and some isolated rubbing and pressure where she found knots or tightness in my back and elsewhere.
