I no longer using any PTS products or visit there Consume Cannabis outlets(which PTS owns). I was a long time customer(medical), but after being accused of sexual harassment by a manager at a Consume Cannabis location with no explanation of what was said or context was provide, even after I asked. I have much better products that have companies that stand behind them. After reaching out to Mike Greco Operations Manager Consume Cannabis and Mitchel Kay General Counsel PTS. No one has responded to this issue. It is all about $$$$. They had great bud tenders at at one time(constant turn over now since management change)). No they are young clerks that do not know there own products. Most spend there time gossiping and talking about things that should not be discussed while customers are present. 35% is not worth it anymore, to pay a little more and receive this terrible service(which never happen before the management change). Imagine a longer time, senior, medial patient is treated this way, expect the same. Always check your product they continue to have issues with what comes out of the back room. read more

Couldn't help to think of this place today with it being 4/20/2024. I drove past it a few days ago and noticed that it's still there. I was wondering if the little creepy kid with the knit cap who greets customers at the front door is still accosting patrons there like he did to me. I was tempted to stop in there and give it another try only because the service reps were decent; then I remembered the generic copy and pasted responses from management and the outlandish request for me to send a video of me inhaling from a vape pen. These guys have problems that are concerning. Here's a little about my experience. Bear in mind that these are first world problems. But gosh did my experience get me fired up. 1) Greeted by a 20 something who was on the phone in a full blown conversation. No eye contact but no biggie. Anyway, she motioned for me to show my ID and I just wasn't impressed from the start. Still, you never get a second chance to make a first impression. Idk maybe I caught her in a moment or on a bad day. It happens. That said, I would encourage Consume to creatively and strategically re-think their lobby. Because it's boring, feels like an afterthought and I frankly don't blame her for being utterly bored. 2) THIS is HUGE and my biggest reason for the review: Legit, slowest kiosks I've ever experienced in my life... and I tried three different kiosks there!!! I kid you not: press a button, wait 15 SECONDS and the command is received after colliding with the subsequent button pushes you do while asking is this thing working?! . It made for a very frustrating experience. Here's the thing, I went to McDonalds earlier that day and that kiosk was night and day better by comparison. And granted I know Consume isn't McDonalds but my point is that the tech exists. Personally if I were the owner, I would be up the craw of my POS provider or Comcast because this truly shapes the consumer experience and is slowly turning customers off one at a time. So Pro Tip: order online in advance. Consume MUST look at this. 3) Did I mention the kiosk was SO slow ^ Anyway, the girl told me I could maybe use an iPad when I complained about the speed of the kiosks which was a great solution! But then she added that they have never allowed the iPads into the "lounge" for browsing. So like, she offered and then took it back. I just... anyway, I used my iphone. Not so great. 4) I went to pick up my stuff. I'm supposed to receive a discount. The info I provided has been "good enough" in four other dispensaries. But not here! Despite overwhelming evidence, even the manager wouldn't grant me a discount unless I had this one ID badge. Didn't ask me about what I did... or for other forms of proof... just a no. And that really sucked. I think the problem I'm seeing in other negative comments is management not knowing where they can be flexible. What they were asking for is not required by the law to approve a discount. It's a standard operating procedure that needs to be altered. I would strongly encourage a dialogue with regulators and consistent training in how to handle gray areas that customers approach them with. The fact that I was denied was as silly as it was unnecessary and annoying. I've earned the discount- trust me. I had multiple ways to prove I was in that "discount class" but not that ID badge so it was a no... and I think that management could've shown more flexibility and grace. Morale seems low here and that should be looked at as well. I'd love to see the Budtenders have high chairs they can sit on if they choose. But instead they seem tired and weighed down by the reality that budtending can be hard. I'd have liked just a little more fun or personality. And it sucks because I live 5 minutes away! Anyway, this resulted in me just not feeling welcome AT ALL, there was no room for browsing, no smiles, just slam bam thank you ma'am give me money and gtfo... in attitude and concept; The only thing stopping that phrase from being completely true is the fact that it was SO slow. Honestly, it's so slow bro if you use the kiosk that it's honestly faster for me to go to Cannabist in Jefferson Park 12 minutes away than go to Consume that's 5 minutes away. Plus, I'll actually feel welcome at Cannabist. Bottom line: If you are experiencing cannabis here for the first time, DO NOT think this is the general experience. With new dispensaries coming online, I would strongly advise Consume takes a look at employee morale, re-think their lobby, continue training their managers to include flexibility and grace and for God's sake... for Consume's sake REPLACE THOSE KIOSKS. read more

They have sales every day or other day but they suck compared to other dispensaries like Cannabist & Ascend (MOCA) & NuEra & Sunnyside. The sales and bang for your buck is just better at those other dispos. Sorry Consume I have yet to be impressed with the pricing. I'm also a med patient and I still feel like I'm doing better going elsewhere. Only thing I've came here for is RSO- PTS brand (for my Herniated disc & Sciatica). Anyway they have med curbside parking spots. (I don't use that feature but if u want to that's a plus for u.) Seems to be easy to go in and out the store. The store formerly known as Zen Leaf. I'm no Marijuana store expert (how could one be so early in the legality experiment) and I don't actually use cannabis but I could tell right away that this place was no where near ready for the recreational purchases. Buyers were limited to only one kind of marijuana for smoking at only 1 gram of pre-rolled per day (meaning one doesn't get to choose between bud or shake or whatever) and the same restrictions remain 3 months later. They claim shortages yet 2 competitors within a 15 minute drive offer at least 3 varieties. The entrance protocol was like entering a dentist office or something. The store itself is very disappointing: no menu board, no displayed cannabis, nothing in the store basically I don't even think they sold snacks and drinks (missed opportunity) All that aside, the person who smoked it in my house really seemed to enjoy the product and the customer service was good. Maybe when the bugs are worked out it will be a better more interesting experience inside but for now it's just a boring rx pickup at a tight security Walgreens. read more

If you're disabled this is not the store that you want to purchase from. The disabled section is in the back, the furthest point from the front of the store making it exceedingly difficult for people who are disabled and using enabling devices. The distance is great only to find that the 3/4 openings they have are never staffed. The point of the Illinois cannabis law was designed not for recreational use. It was designed for people with disabilities. Consume does not respond when questioned about this. Their only response is they'll fix the problem. They haven't. They don't care. If you're disabled take your money and your business someplace else. Consume and their people have utter disregard for those who are disabled. Next, a complaint with the Illinois Department of professional and financial regulations. Consume should not be in the market place for the discriminatory behavior that they display toward the disabled. read more

As of writing this updated review I'm currently a medical patient and Consume is my primary dispensary of choice. And my thoughts and feeling are pretty much the same as stated in my previous review. Janelle (who handles patient orientation and obtaining your card) went above and beyond to help me get this ball rolling. My only nitpicky is one of the security guards (the tall one) acts a little too goofy to be taken seriously in a security role. Especially since dispensaries/medical marijuana are now legal in Illinois and need to keep a good image/ reputation for medical marijuana to be taken seriously in Illinois. read more
