No one is even smiling to each other and the students looks like they not enjoying to be there. Very weird !! Also they called off the classes at 4pm because of the "bad weather " while the schools are open in the morning and all the roads are clean. Of course no refunds !!! Just make up classes which most people never show up !! I m very disappointed.

The teacher/owner is very good with the kids and our daughter seems to really enjoy it. The lessons are around $20 per hour, but we have gotten several coupons so it helps. I love to give local businesses the support, and they do a good job with the girls. We're going to keep sending her here because she enjoys it and it's close to home.

It may not be as big as bigger cities (LA, NY) but I'm glad they had one. Here was my experience here. AMBIANCE: It's in more of a suburban area of Chicago. Relatively close (15 minutes) away from the airport and from downtown. The place itself is on the 2nd floor of a building. It seems like a pretty historic brick building with a spacious layout. The layout is basically one big floor to dance on with ceiling lights and string lights to bright up the place. The class consisted of a lot of talented 40+ which was cool as they had a lot of knowledge to share. The size is great for group practices and socials. Parking - Pretty much just street parking. Customer Service - Awesome! My instructor was Dawn Lara and she was great! Knowledgeable and friendly. I felt pretty welcomed in this place. TL;DR OVERALL 4.5 Stars. I had a great experience here! The instructors were awesome and my classmates were pretty fun. One of the main things for me was always feeling will people be condescending and whatnot, but the vibes were pretty welcoming here. This was a good start to learning more about the dance community and scene here in Chicago, I just wish I stayed longer to learn more! It's tiny & dumpy. There are 2 studios and only 1 has a viewing window. The tiny tots class is 1 hour long...for 2 year olds, really? And too structured. All I hear coming out of the room is "you guys aren't listening"! No sh**, they are 2, it's suppose to be fun quit stressing about the plan you made and just play dance in front of the giant mirror. I called another school before deciding on Demaira dance studio and the woman said their Summer beginner dance class was full. When I called here Ms. Kathy said I could do the drop in class and see if it was a "good fit" for my daughter. I LOVE and appreciate the flexibility of "drop-in" classes because with toddlers you don't want to commit because it may not work out. I had not purchased tap shoes for my daughter and Ms. Kathy was nice enough to let my daughter borrow and keep a small pair of tap shoes. So we "dropped-in" and my 3 1/2 year old who is shy to try new things gave this class a chance. It always takes her a few minutes to warm up but Ms. Kathy does have the "magic touch". Ms. Kathy does a combination beginner class for 3 and 4 year olds. The class starts off with 20 minutes of tap then 20 minutes of ballet and finally 20 minutes of tumbling. I LOVE that this class teaches a variety of dance styles, something I have not found anywhere else. I really needed to write this review because my daughter did take some ballet classes in the past in Chicago at a popular school on Southport and although the teachers were sweet they could not get her to participate for the full class. Ms. Kathy incorporates the different dance styles and makes the class fun for the girls. Ms. Kathy has been consistently friendly and my daughter has learned to look forward to going to Demaira Dance Studio. I really just want to thank you for your patience and consistency, Ms. Kathy! Interclub Academy of Dance is an amazing dance studio that's right in the middle of everything…read more Convenient location, group and private lessons, adult and children's classes, wedding choreography, dance shows, social dance lessons, competitive dancing, anything you need, they have it. All that takes place in a super fun but professional atmosphere. It is not very often you can put "fun" and "professional" in the same sentence, but here I am. The instructors at Interclub are both extremely professional and fun. You can learn a new and awesome skill while having fun and knowing you are learning from some of the best teachers in the area (current and former winners of many dance competitions). Check them out and you will not regret it!
