I'm a 76 year old male, active til 25 years ago, typical lower back & leg issues. A major contributing factor is Multifocal Motor Neuropathy, an autoimmune disease that 1st surfaced in my early 30's. I met Anjali for the 1st time in mid July 2024. My experience after 5 sessions is consistent with ALL the reviews I read... Caring, analytic, thorough, and talented. The 1st visit began with a visual exam as Anjali walked around my body pointing out issues with total posture. Then a discussion of my medical history and current "complaints". Then began treatment. Lying on a massage table, Anjali gently pokes, pushes, & rubs a specific area to address issues she observed in her visual evaluation as well as what she heard in my medical history & current complaints. My confidence in achieving improved overall health increases with each visit (5 to date). Why, you ask ... My digestive system over the past few years has not been up to par. Anjali during my 1st treatment addressed potential contributing causes. She commented that my upper colon was / felt knotted and she performed her magic using her hands to "relax" the colon. I don't have a medical background, but starting the following day the behavior of my digestive system has improved 100% ! Several years ago my husband severely injured his back. He was unable to move from a fetal position without a lot of pain and a lot of assistance. Medications did not help at all. When the orthopedist ordered P.T. our internist insisted that we reach out to Jaya. Within 2 minutes she found the source of his pain - later confirmed by an MRI. Her touch is gentle and healing and her manner is so caring and professional. Within 2 -3 weeks he was able to walk and did not have to submit to the scheduled pain injections which were never needed since. The extreme pain also went away. He was so happy to be pain free. He since has developed trouble with his shoulder and of course we knew where to come. A few months ago I injured my right hip -- I have been pain free for several weeks now and continue to be thanks to Jaya. She not only does her P.T. but she teaches us so much about our bodies. I am so much more aware of how each system depends on each other system - how a displaced bone or muscle in one area of the body can impact another. For years Jaya has provided a superior brand of physical therapy by integrating her Craniosacral expertise into her overall approach to improved mobility and overall wellness. Her daughter Anjali has followed in her footsteps and together they are a dynamic physical therapy dream team. Very few physical therapists are as thoroughly knowledgeable about Craniosacral therapy, even fewer Craniosacral therapists empower their patients with exercises and breathing techniques to incorporate at home in between sessions, and you'll be hard-pressed to find any practice of this quality that accepts the variety of insurances accepted here. A long list of severe injuries sustained in an accident has left me needing a variety of medical treatments, but the therapy I receive here is by far the most life-changing, and is well worth the weekly trek here all the way from Brooklyn. My improvements have been documented in my MRI's and acknowledged by my neurosurgeon. I have been going to Dr. Jaya for over five years now. I started going to her because I have a herniated disc. I tried other physical therapist but did not find any relief. I didn't want to have a surgery. After going to her for therapy and then following up with the exercises that she showed me to do at home I have not been suffering from the excruciating pain. I also went to her because I was experiencing issues with my shoulder. I couldn't lift up my hands. I suffered a lot of pain. I went to her for a few months and now my shoulder are completely fine. Dr. Jaya really cares about her patient. She is very professional. I also took my son when he was little going through growing pains. She knows how to handle all patients both adult and kids. I recommend her to everyone. I have gone to other Physical Therapists but she is the only one who really gets to the root of the problem. I have been going to Dr. Jaya for over 5 years. I originally went to her because I was suffering with shoulder issues. I couldn't lift my hands up. I did therapy with Dr.Jaya and she got to the root of the problem. She doesn't try to rush the patient out. She really cares about the patient and is very professional. I have been to few other physical therapist but I would rate her the best. I also took my son when he was little and suffered from growing pains. Thanks to her therapy and the exercises she told me to do at home with him, I was able to alleviate his pain. I went because to CRS because I had terrible back spasm and could barely get out of my car. I had to use a cane to walk. My therapist was Anjali Apte DPT. I used to go but have been in good health and her Mother Jaya Kennel DPT (who's wonderful) was booked. I knew Jaya would never have someone work with her unless she was good so I received my treatment from Anjali. She should be called Angel because after a few treatments I was starting to come around. I've personally seen Jaya for my neck and back pain, and had immediate within session pain relief that is quite hard to explain.
