It pained me to take it to a check cashing place because I knew there would be fees and with such a large check I was prepared to pay upwards of $200 dollars for the convenience.... I had a friend who needed help asap with rent and I wanted to be there for him. I called the number listed and talked to a nice man who explain how it worked and what I'd need as far as identification etc then I headed out prepared to cash the check there the next day. I was greeted by a young woman (I REALLY WISH I CAUGHT HER NAME) who had food in her mouth as she said hello. I said hello, slid the check over to her with a couple forms of ID my DL, my atm and credit cards, a Costco card (also with my pic), my Chickasaw ID (which is also considered a government ID and has my photo) I explained, " hi I'd like to cash this check please. It's my tax return. She looked at it. "This isn't a tax return". "Yes it is. It was issued by turbo tax. They intercepted my return, took their fee and then sent me the rest in the form of a cashiers check." I flipped it over and showed he that it explained this on the check it's self. Confirmed it was a tax return. Although I'm not really sure why it mattered? What mattered was I had a check that was rightfully mine and I wanted it cashed.... She says "it's already signed I can't cash it" ... Well that's because I tried depositing it but I couldn't because my bank wont let me deposit more than $5,000 a day (it's an online bank account") She rudely responds " well this means it was already cashed. So I can't" I was so confused... this has never happened to me before. " I assure you miss, I did not cash this check or deposit it. I simply attempted to. Can't you just run it and see that it is not void?... I can sign something else, you will see it's my signature... you can see the signature on my IDs match that one there on the check. It's definitely me" She stared at me as I spoke. Which I'm used to. (I had my jaw amputated because of a tumor. So I look "different".) But the way she looked at me made me feel like she thought I was someone to be mistrusted. Maybe it's because I'm missing gums and all of my teeth on the left side. :( I'm used to people staring... I'm less used to people judging me as untrustworthy because of it. Anyways she saw the check was still valid and acted annoyed by that. I slid my forms of ID over to her motioning for her to proceed. Finally she said, " I need your social security card" The man I spoke to on the phone never said I'd need that. But I'd did have a pay check stub with my social on it. So I tried to give her that and she refused it. I fail to see how having my social security card proves any more that I am who I claim to be than all of my other proof. If I was told to bring it I would have. I drove all the way out from Spring Branch (45min away) so I wasn't just going to leave and come back. I was feeling quite desperate and tears formed in my eyes. My friend needed help asap... and I had things I needed the money for too. "Mam, is there anything we can do? I am who I say I am. And I just want to have access to money which is mine." She handed the check back to me and just walked away. Ignoring me. I wasn't yelling or getting upset... I really just wanted my money. I was being as nice as I could knowing you don't get what you want being rude. But if I'm honest I was really upset. I felt like she was judging me based on how I look. I was providing her all the necessary items to prove who I was all the pics on my ids show the scaring on my face, so it is very clear I am the same person on my IDs. Same address same everything! ... and she didn't care at all. Got the feeling she got some pleasure out of the position she was in to deny me. After crying in the parking lot for a little while I wiped my face and looked around me. There were several banks near by. Originally I didn't want to open a new bank account mostly because I knew I wouldn't have access to the funds right away... but I thought of it as a sign that I should just do it. So I picked one, walked in and opened myself a new bank account at PNC with the nicest lady ever who said my IDs were MORE THAN SUFFICIENT. ACE Cash Express missed out on my $200+ fee and I got to keep it, plus get myself back on my feet with a good bank account, that's is going to help me budget and organize my finances better. So a really horrible experience ended up being really good for me in the long run. God is funny like that. But He is good.

I recently took…read moreadvantage of one of their Credit Card offers and long story short they gave me 2 cards and 2 hits on my credit. No big deal I thought. I will stop in and talk to a banker and get it fixed. Well according to the young lady that helped me. That is not a thing there. You need to go home and call in. I explained I was traveling and needed this taken care of. So what does she do. Walks me over to a empty bankers desk and dials the 800 number and says here you go. I find it hard to believe a banker would find out that the bank they represent has made a mistake and doesn't own the issue from start to finish. She just pawned me off to a 800 number. I have worked in the financial service industry for over 15 years and this type of behavior is unacceptable. With that being said the inside of the building is very clean. Also the call to the 800 customer service was good her name was Sharon.

This store is absolutely the worst. I only have 4 payments left on my account and never made a late…read morepayment because they always called. Then one day they stopped calling and now I'm being charged astronomical fees. I'm beyond pissed and annoyed because no one left a voicemail like they did the other 7 times I paid, and it seems like because I'm at the end of my loan they want to start doing shady business. I will never in my life do business with this company again, nor will I recommend them to anyone except to the pits of hell.

He understand or tries to understand the client and I give that a five star always; but, like all locations, there are always some bad apples. In this case being a customer for roughly 8 months, rep Erica did not attempt to ease the client needs. Part of any customer service role is being empathetic and sympathetic with the client and their needs. Erica lacks the essential basics of customer service and more her message she showed by laugh at my concern. three stars Is not truly what would represent this location but based on the initial experience at the Grissome location tip over today. The way business works is retaining a customer not pushing them away.
