CONTINENTAL CREDIT CONTROL is legit, but not CONTINENTAL CREDIT. Continental Credit is a fraudulent company. I say this because they have taken ~$90 each month out of my account since Sept 2022 promising to erase my debts. Today Jul 05 2023 is the fourth time I've cancelled their fake service. They have done nothing to fix my account. In fact I was paying another service 1/2 as much, which was doing a great job, but Continental Credit told me that other service is making my credit worse. They told me to cancel the other company and soon my debts will be erased with Continental Credit's services. That was back in Feburary and still nothing has changed. Transunion, Experian and Equifax have sent letters to me regarding a third party claiming to have permission to work on my credit reports, but that the third party is doing suspicious illegal stuff with my accounts. I'm not going to listen to Continental's lies anymore. They insist on talking to me on the phone, which is how they manipulate me to continue paying them. The website portal doesn't show anything of importance nor do they have a cancellation section. On the telephone is the only method they use in order to keep saying they have been doing great progress with my debts, but they never show any proof and it doesn't reflect on my credit reports. To make them stop taking my money I had to cancel my bank account and open a new one. I clearly feel this company is another scam and should be investigated and they should refund every single penny that I've paid them. These guys are a total scam job. Pretty sure most of the positive reviews are fake. Paid them for over 28 months to dispute some items, they kept assuring me things were moving along. I finally called the credit bureaus directly and they said they have not had any disputes filed in two years! They just take your monthly premium and do not perform the services agreed to. The money I wasted is one thing, but the years of wasted repair is priceless. Do not just post your grievance on google and yelp. I do not recommend this place.i placed my account on hold and they agreed, they told me to call them when I wanted them to start back up. Went months without being charged. Then out of the blue they took money out of an account I didn't even give them. That made me cancel my account with them and they still took money out of my account the following I had to report them to consumer affairs and my bank to get refunded. My Credit Score has dropped approximately 100 points in the 4-5 months I've been using and paying Continental Credit. Both mine and my girlfriends. I was promised a "progress report" the first of this month which I have yet to see on the 13th. I paid for someone elses credit to be cleaned through Continental as well only to see their credit drop a number of points also. What's Continental Great at? Customer Service and Sales... Great at making you feel like they are working and to get you to keep paying. -- If you look on their Glass Door, employee's themselves admit to "unethical business tactics" What are they not Good at at all? I've been with Continental Credit for about 6 months and I have seen results. I pay $69 a month I'm familiar with the dispute process and can do it my self however I don't have time so for me it is WORTH IT. You people out there expecting updates every week ? not going to happen! you are not going to get updates right away a creditor has 30 days to review the disputes that Continental Credit submits, so if you have crappy credit and old bad credit it may take longer. I'm telling you it's a long process I feel a year is enough time anything more than a year then YES! I agree you are wasting your time, if you don't see results in a year then you must be adding new credit and increasing your revolving credit when you are in this program you need to focus on paying off credit and having old accounts removed. I was lied to about what had been taken care of. Played them over a year and they did almost nothing. Switched to another credit repair company and they showed me that a lot of the things on my credit that Continental Credit said they got removed was still on my report. With the new company for 5 months and everything is now fixed. When I tried to conceal the first time they said they were a couple weeks to a month away from fixing it all and tried to run a guilt trip on me for trying to cancel. STAY AWAY! I was a customer for 7 months. They did nothing for me. They constantly lie about well they are doing for you and what they are doing. They will try and scam you and charge you when you cancel.. keep in mind they have no contract and you must pay to get started but they will try and say they bill one month in the rear.. WRONG! In one month I did more for myself by settling two debts and lowering my credit card utilization. 36 points mind you.. my score maybe went up 40 in 7 months. I helped my scored 36 in one month. Waited 15 minutes ON HOLD just to be transferred, then another 30 minutes ON HOLD for someone to verify my social and address and then after another 20 minutes ON HOLD an "executive" gets on the line to pull up my account and guess what? This service is a scam. I've dealt with more than 6 different representatives here in a 7 month period. I was referred here by a lender due to accounts that were settled or charged off from 5 years ago when i had trouble in college. The initial sign up call and credit review was very positive and left me with a great feeling that these accounts are so old they are usually very easy to remove and may see results in the first month. I was sold this idea that there would be a review every month after the mailings. I have called or emailed pretty much monthly to ask for updates. Often I receive a "this person will call you back, they are handling your account" only to never have a call back. I have tried to cancel only to be suckered back in with that they are so close with the last round let the next months come back in and we'll review. I have sent multiple emails to multiple representatives that were never returned. In fact I don't believe I've ever had an email returned the first time I've sent it. My lender has reached out to them to ask for status updates which received a quick response, but the next month when I wanted an update I go another 9 days without hearing back from my email to his representative and am sending another follow up email this time with a warranty clause that was in our agreement to which I have also not heard back on. I am always told there has been "great movement with your file" however I have seen zero increase in my score and no actual proof of anything being done. BUYER BEWARE! These people will help your credit and it usually will happen fairly quickly. The problem is, when you try to cancel. The first time I tried to cancel they bullied me into staying. Then I tried to cancel again a month later and the guy was so angry with me I felt as if I had committed a crime, then he hung up on me before letting me know if my account had been cancelled or not. I called back, they "verified" that it had been cancelled. The next month they charged my card again, I called, they apologized, sent me out a refund check in two days and sent me a "cancel confirmation". Here we are again a month later and guess what? Another charge on my card from them! I called AGAIN and went through the rigmarole and got the same "verification" and "cancel confirmation" from the woman on the phone. Do not use Continental Credit for restoration of your credit. My husband saw a few collections drop from his credit file, but that was all. It was nothing that we couldn't do ourselves. They just take your money and do nothing. They never talk to you until you complain. The continue to take your money from your bank even once you tell them to stop. Jake Zastrow with Continental Credit received many notifications from me asking them to stop the withdrawal. I am having to close my account over it now. I wish I could give them 1 star and I wish I could do more to protect the public from getting involved with this company. When you are trying your best to restore your credit and then you get involved with this company it's enough to sink your ship with fees and nothing in return. They also try to tell you that they bill in arrears. Be careful what you sign and don't listen to their crafty lies. STEER CLEAR of them and tell everyone you know to steer clear as well. Each time you try to end their services they will reach out to you and tell you more lies; you'll try another month and then another but nothing changes. So I had horrible credit, after 3 years they did get my score up. They did not advise me, I had to open credit cards to get the score up myself. They were able to remove a whole lot of old derogatory trade lines which is great, but over the 3 years it cost me over $2K in monthly fees. When you try to cancel they argue, and say you have to still pay one more month. I am currently on hold trying to cancel, its been 52 minutes now, and I am writing this review just to show their lack of professionalism and customer service.
