The 300 yard range is struggling with a miserable system that downloads onto your phone. Only 2 or 3 stations work on any given day. It has been this way for YEARS! the 200 yard station has only 4 working stations most of the time. Limited staffing closes ranges without warning. This is a state run facility, you can go from there. It's a big open plan range space with areas for different disciplines of shooting so the rules make sense. No open toed shoes and now low cut tops is usually pretty run of the mill range safety rules. They do sells socks and T shirts in a pinch if needed. The sporting clays area is great. It's the right distance that It can be easily walked for a bit of exercise without any overexertion. They have a rifle and pistol range which seems to be the main attraction for many. I wish they had lanes at the 3-500 yard mark but beggars cant be choosers. I believe 100 is their max. The staff at the range were professional. Safe and polite. It didn't give off any safety concerns. There were less staff members near the clay area but that doesn't make much difference. Good ear pro is a must as the covered range is loud as all but thats standard to most ranges. Overall a good experience at a good budget. Just remember to create an account online before you go. Failing that It can be done at the desk but it takes a minute or two and would take up a chunk of time for a group of 5 or 6. Save time and do it the night before.

Deserves less than one star,…read more Where do I begin. I am an active duty Marine currently stationed in California. I came here with family to go shooting as a family event while im here on leave. The day started well, although in order to sign everyone up and pay took about an hour the staff was super respectful and courteous. After our signup was completed we proceeded back to our vehicles to assure all our firearms were cleared according to the range rules. After doing so we made our way to the actual range portion and started to get our targets up and lay out all our firearms. We had about 10 guns. Apon the checking of the firearms my brother in law realized he accidentally left a bullet in the chamber in one of his AR's. It was an honest mistake and when he cleared it he made sure to point it in a safe direction. This was where things started to spiral. The range master Sean proceeded to say my brother could no longer shoot because of the loose round. We explained to him that it was honest mistake and that it wasnt on purpose and we had no malicious intent whatsoever. But he refused to change his mind. Mind you the range this day was completely empty. Not one person on the line and we were the only guest at the range. This basically ruined the entire visit. We were not going to shoot without my brother. When we told Sean this he actually said he can go sit in the car and that we could shoot without him. After some arguing about this, and this range master telling us there was absolutely no exception we proceeded back to the registration building to get everything refunded. At the registration place we explained the situation and ultimately there just wasnt anything they could do. They explained that the coaches have discretion but rarely use it and that this happens all the time. The funny thing is that my father who was with us is also an Police Officer here in Indian River County and IS allowed to have a gun with a chamber loaded but because it was my brothers gun it was a problem. In my opinion Sean was super happy to have us leave so they could sit there and do nothing as they were prior to us getting there. Sean had a nasty attitude from the moment we got there and he even yelled at my father for stepping over the red line whilst no one was even shooting and no one else was even there. Honestly just a nasty and unprofessional dude with no common courtesy. It is very easy to see why this place was empty. Mike and brandon were the other range coaches that day. Mike was the nicest old feller and it was clearly not him who wanted to have us leave. Brandon on the other hand was backing his buddy Sean about this absurd rule and just had a nasty attitude. Ultimately the entire range day was ruined and we left after getting our refund but I just couldn't rap my head around such a crazy rule and way of enforcing it.

I attended and took a class here with One Shot Defense and it was such a great place to host a class. It was held in one of the private bays and it felt like I wasn't even in Florida. If you're looking to get some shooting in, you have to check this place out. Tons of range options at a great price, and everything you could need to make the most out of that time. I got a…read moreair rifle finally the other day, and I've been learning all i can about my Notos. its a type of rifle and even though the web is full of info, its tough to replace what you can learn from people 1st hand. My initial reason for popping in was a boring one. I couldn't get the pellet gun to hold air. I got the appropriate type of pump but after many hundred pumps, it was time to find help. A quick search landed on Delray Shooting Center. I called ahead to make sure they did that sort of thing. The nice guy on the phone was one of the many people there when I arrived. he was cheerful, explained what I may be doign wrong with the pump and said he would get it filled up. Minutes later he was back with a fully aired up rifle. Only charged me half too since the cylinder was fairly small. I've been back a couple times for the same thing(way easier than pumping it up myself) and they have been plenty helpful and quick to work everytime.
