I got a air rifle finally the other day, and I've been learning all i can about my Notos. its a type of rifle and even though the web is full of info, its tough to replace what you can learn from people 1st hand. My initial reason for popping in was a boring one. I couldn't get the pellet gun to hold air. I got the appropriate type of pump but after many hundred pumps, it was time to find help. A quick search landed on Delray Shooting Center. I called ahead to make sure they did that sort of thing. The nice guy on the phone was one of the many people there when I arrived. he was cheerful, explained what I may be doign wrong with the pump and said he would get it filled up. Minutes later he was back with a fully aired up rifle. Only charged me half too since the cylinder was fairly small. I've been back a couple times for the same thing(way easier than pumping it up myself) and they have been plenty helpful and quick to work everytime. read more

Come here mainly for the range, however it's always fun to walk around the shop and look at the different selection they have. A good amount of guns to pick from so if you are shopping for a gun it's worth the visit. The staff are all very knowledgeable. I did my CC here as well and the instructor and class was informative and helpful. The range is not bad, could use a bit of refurbishment as you can tell it hasn't been fixed up or improved recently. But there are always lanes available and the price to access the range is one of the best in the area. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a range in the area. read more

Went to the store to see if they could match an online price ($539) on a Glock 41gen4 mos. I would have been happy to buy it locally from them if they could come close to the price. While the person helping me was okay, a guy behind the desk (possibly the manager), stuck his nose into the conversation and spouted-off that the price is $800 for the gun and he had a dismissive, couldn't be bothered, attitude. He added: "that must be a Blue Label price you got." I informed him that it was NOT a Blue Label price and couldn't be since the Glock 41 has been discontinued by Glock and is NOT available through Blue Label. So, for $539.49 + $25 transfer fee, I have my new Glock 41. No thanks to Delray Shooting Center and their uninformed, indifferent employee. read more

It's a nice clean range and the people that work there are very helpful and informative. I do have a complaint though. I'm in my late 80s, I belong to SHOOT straight in West Palm Beach and pay $300 a year for unlimited shooting with no extra range charges. I can't afford Delray's $500 a year membership, besides I hear there's a range charge every time I would come there. They have no special packages for senior citizens or retired law enforcement people like myself. read more

The range is a 4. The store is a 2. The employees at the store give you a Walmart like feeling. It's a numbers game to them. "Do you want to buy it or not" type attitude. I've been in there a few times, mainly while waiting for range and have seen employees who are just trying to move units, not suit a customer with their needs. I'm fairly certain an elderly lady does not need a shadow systems pistol, even if it's in her budget, but the shield ez was probably $500 less so... just that type of vibe. The range is like I said like a 4-4.5 star, depending on who's working. That is kind of my overall sentiment on this place. One time I thought I had packed ammo for a range session, and realized I was low on 9mm (heaven forbid)... anyway there was one employee who was really helpful. There was also a range officer who was cool that day. But it's hit or miss. You get a cool person 1/3 of the time. Too many options for me down here.... read more

This is my favorite gun range in Palm Beach County. They have a huge selection of firearms and always take the time to show me things. They are always incredibly nice to me when I use the range. As a female, I really appreciate this. Firearms are a bit of a man's world but I feel I am welcomed in with open arms. The range itself is a good temperature with no AC or fans blowing your target around. I recently rented an AR-15 from them and there were no issues with it even though it was a rental. First time visitor, long time shooter. Great place, excellent staff, and great selection. My son and I went this past weekend for an afternoon of putting holes in paper. We had no problem getting a lane or signed in. All equipment worked as it should, the lighting, and ventilation were quite good. The store is on another level in my opinion. So many brands, so many choices, so many everythings LOL. The few things I did look at, the pricing seemed legit. No, of course you won't beat internet prices here, but these are real people with a real business in town that I can and will continue to support. Are the prices outrageous like Gander Mountain of days gone by, no. So that is where you sit, in a reasonable price point with product you can see and feel before purchase. Call me old school, but I'll hit up the local brick and mortar first in my shopping whenever I can. They also have many firearms for rent. Definitely looking forward to renting some firearms I've never shot, just to know what they are like. My recent visit to Delray Shooting Center in Delray Beach, Florida left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. As a returning customer, I went there on a Friday with the intention of purchasing birthday gifts for my son. However, what ensued was far from the positive experience I had hoped for. Upon returning home and inspecting the items I had purchased, I was shocked to discover that the prices had been inflated beyond reason. One item, in particular, was marked up by an outrageous 50%, while others ranged between 10% to 50% above their fair value. This blatant price gouging left me feeling deceived and taken advantage of. Seeking to address this issue, I attempted to return the items. However, the process was needlessly difficult, despite having a receipt and the items being in pristine condition. To add insult to injury, the supervisor had the audacity to personally insult me, accusing me of being "cheap" for questioning the inflated prices. His disrespectful behavior was completely uncalled for and unprofessional. Furthermore, their policy of "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" conveniently printed on the receipt after purchase is a clear attempt to deceive customers. This policy was not disclosed at the point of purchase, further indicating their disregard for transparency and customer satisfaction. To make matters worse, I was banned from the store simply for requesting a refund on overpriced items. The supervisor's unprofessional conduct, including raising his voice and resorting to personal attacks, was utterly disgraceful. His behavior only served to highlight the lack of professionalism and integrity within the establishment. As someone with extensive experience in firearm instruction, including as a US Marine Primary Marksmanship instructor and NRA certified instructor, I find their conduct completely unacceptable. Handling firearms requires a calm and composed demeanor, qualities sorely lacking in the owner and supervisor. In conclusion, Delray Shooting Center is a disgraceful establishment that prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction and lacks the professionalism expected in such an environment. I strongly urge others to avoid supporting this dishonest and disrespectful business. I served my country over 20+ years, I am a combat decorated US Marine, I am a professional Shooter and instructor, I am 100% disabled for being a paratrooper in a special operations unit, and sustaining injuries. I spent 4 years of my life in Iraq. No one owes me anything. But we find many of our community at gun ranges. So it was unexpected to encounter people that have such a hatred for veterans at a gun range. it was disheartening to know that our shooting community has parasites that have a clear disdain for the customers that "feed" them and keep them "alive." This shop and range are very well run with good safety and security measures in place. Cody is a great teacher and meets his students where they're at. He's an intuitive teacher & quickly figured out my learning style and then catered my private lessons to how I'd best learn. Everyone in the shop is welcoming and helped me feel comfortable. If you're new or need a refresher to help you feel comfortable owning and operating a firearm, I highly recommend Delray Shooting Center. Not going back. Yes, I gave 2 stars as it was clean and had no wait. So, the range I was at had 50m wait and didn't have the time, so tried this place. $20, ok. Well, they told us after we finished signing in and had a lane, it was only 40m because they had a class. This was not mentioned when I called before driving there and not mentioned when we were signing in. Then, I brought my 2 kids to shoot with me. 1 lane was rented but charged full rate for all 3 of us! that has never happened at several ranges. I could have taken multiple lanes for same fee. So ripped off on time and charged for full lane rate for EACH person/kids on 1 lane. Pass on this place. read more

I've been coming here for a couple of months now for using the firing range, and have been extremely impressed with the facilities and the professionalism by the staff. If you're looking for a handgun, rifle, shotgun, etc, they have an extensive selection of all the above, as well as a healthy variety of different scopes, suppressors, ammunition, accessories to help with home defense, hunting, and shooting needs. It also helps that the facility is 10-15 minutes from my office so I can hop on over during my lunch break, practice at the range my 22, 9, and/or 38, and get back without a moment to spare. My best friend and I had a great time at the Delray Shooting Center. Everyone there was very helpful and polite. We rented out one lane and my bestie also rented a firearm. We received some great recommendations on certain firearms as she was looking to practice with one that didn't have much kickback. The one that was recommended was really good! We both were very surprised as the rented piece was way bigger than the one I own and has less kickback as well. My bestie and I are already looking into buying one, lol. These guys are the best. Great class, great store, and great people. Being Brooklyn born with little early childhood experience with real guns I was always a bit intimidated with gun store personnel. I have felt that way for more than 40 years at gun stores in NY. Although I have managed to deal with that insecurity and discomfort, I have bought, and carried licensed handguns for a large portion of my adult life. All of that is different at Delray Shooting Center. No prejudgment as you walk in the door. Just a warm greeting and honest help. I visited this establishment a few days ago with my new XDM 10mm in tow. I wanted to put a few rounds down range, but even more so, it was my birthday and I was itching to buy myself a shiny new toy! I narrowed it down to two ARs and really took my time to decide which one I wanted. (Sig M400 Tread Pistol FTW!) Multiple members of the staff assisted me and I never felt rushed. I asked a few advanced questions, and plenty of newbie ones, too, and they answered them all in stride. I was very happy with their service, and blown away by their selection. Especially when considering how low the inventory is at many other stores at the time of this post. They have a very wide assortment of everything. Very cool. (I also liked how organized the inventory was.) I read a few of the 1-star reviews. Some people mentioned being overcharged. Let's get one thing straight: there's a big difference between being "overcharged" and overpaying. If you're overcharged (meaning what shows up on your statement is more than what you signed your receipt for) you file a complaint with the BBB and dispute the charge with your bank. If you Overpay, that simply means you're bad at shopping, and that's certainly not the business's fault. Manufacturer permitting, a business can charge as little or as much for their products as they wish, and you are certainly not obligated to pay it. Supply, and demand. You can get it quick, or you can get a bargain, and if you're a son of a gun (hehe) you can do both, but that's on you. ;) Being overcharged is a whole different story though. Words matter. No more rentals to individual shooters! When the hell did this happen? Man, huge bummer. I've been going to the Delray Shooting Center for quite a few years. Every time I come down for vacation or business I'd stop in, rent a gun, and fire off some rounds. I really enjoyed choosing from their large collection of handguns and machine guns too. I guess that's that though. On the plus side, this is still a nice shop to pick up a firearm if you're looking to buy. That alone is worth 4 stars I suppose. read more

Mike Yo is without question the most knowledgeable gun salesman in South Florida; possibly in the whole country. There is nothing he doesn't know down to the smallest detail. This is not one of those gun stores where you know more than the entire staff put together. These are serious gun enthusiasts and Delray Shooting Center always has the latest and greatest.
