I hate this place. Don't join…read more Just joking... this is my "third place" where I get some time to hang out with people who have become friends and my biggest cheerleaders. This is a great community and the workouts are safe and fun! The trainers are knowledgeable and approachable. They are always watching and correcting form while giving you a little push to go heavier. Workouts are usually a circuit of stations using free weights, kettlebells, TRX, boss balls, etc. The ab finisher and sled pushes at the end top off the challenging hour. That being the basics you might ask about the gym, let me tell you about my results on the 8 week slim down challenge. I worked out 2-3 times at the gym per week and tried to do alternate activities on my off days. I ate a sensible meal plan, no crazy supplements or restrictions. I lost 14 pounds and am off 2 medications. My labs came back better and the panic I felt about my health is gone and I feel hope. So instead of experiencing of crazy starvation diet and bootcamp misery, I found a lifestyle reset. This is sustainable. I don't feel deprived or broken. Even in this horrid heatwave, I'm getting up for my 5am workouts. I may not exactly look forward to that 4:30 am alarm, but it is a new habit that is part of my morning routine.

Exercises ALWAYS challenging and there is variety so doesn't get boring . Also , personal attention…read more. Trainer knows who can do more and encourages them to do so . LB Fitness is hands down the best gym I have ever gone to!…read more From the first phone call with Bailey, one of the instructors, I was impressed with how professional and no nonsense, yet warm and welcoming this place is. Being new to the area, I was looking for a specific kind of gym--smaller, non-chain, that offered martial arts but also a good variety of strength conditioning and cardio classes. With LB Fitness I found exactly that, and more! Cardio kickboxing, combat conditioning, and Muay Thai with Edson have definitely been transforming my body--I am stronger, leaner, have more endurance, and am overall more fit than ever before. But taking these classes and seeing the results has also had a tremendous impact on how I feel: more confident, grittier, and full of energy! I'm now addicted to learning more combinations, practicing my kicks and punches, and am motivated to continue getting faster and adding more power. Also, as Edson is big on technique, his combat classes are great to learn how to properly work with weights, lift, and develop more strength without getting hurt. Boot camp and Zumba Strong with Bailey are also a must! Mixing cardio with strength conditioning (to a great soundtrack!), these classes are all about tightening, leaning, and burning calories. Also, Bailey is an incredibly encouraging, supportive, and motivating instructor, so while she will push you to your limits, you likely won't even notice until the next day when you are beyond sore =) Finally, LB Fitness tends to attract people who are willing to work hard to get results, but who are also down-to-earth, friendly, and supportive of each others' journeys, which has been truly refreshing. I definitely appreciate the community aspect of this place and am excited to keep going there. You definitely need to check it out for yourself!

There's a variety of classes you can take such as cardio kickboxing, women's bootcamp (my fave), zumba strong (lots of fun and high energy), muay thai, and strength and conditioning. Bailey is awesome and I highly recommend taking a class with her as your first time coming here! Note: Small parking lot, but I've never had a problem finding a spot on the weekdays. There's also street parking as well.

The concerning part is not just the complaints themselves, but the pattern. Different reviewers…read morecontinue describing the exact same issues: poor management responsiveness, lack of accountability, declining class quality and availability, instructor turnover, cancellations with poor communication, clique-like behavior in certain classes, and an overall dismissive customer service culture. When the same concerns appear repeatedly over a long period of time without meaningful improvement, it reflects a leadership problem. For a premium-priced membership, members should not have to deal with frequent class cancellations, instructors abruptly quitting, or reduced schedules. Multiple instructors leaving is also a significant indicator of internal dissatisfaction. High turnover rarely happens in healthy, well-supported environments. Members are paying not only for equipment access, but for consistency, professionalism, and reliable programming. Another major concern repeatedly mentioned is the atmosphere surrounding the Zumba classes. A public gym should never feel socially exclusive or intimidating. Reviews consistently describe clique behavior, territorial attitudes over spots, rude conduct, excessive noise, and instructors allegedly siding with regular groups instead of maintaining professionalism and inclusivity. That is not the type of culture a fitness business should normalize. Operationally, there also appears to be a lack of attention to member experience: canceled classes communicated only through website updates instead of direct notifications, unresolved concerns despite suggestion boxes and reviews, overcrowding issues, members occupying equipment while on phones, and complaints about cleanliness and room conditions between classes. The most disappointing aspect is that these do not appear to be new concerns. They have allegedly been ongoing for months, yet review after review suggests management remains defensive or disengaged rather than solution-oriented. Long-term customer retention cannot thrive under those conditions. People may initially join because the concept of a women's gym is appealing, but retention depends on members feeling respected, heard, welcomed, and valued consistently. Until ownership demonstrates a genuine willingness to address these recurring concerns in a meaningful and proactive way, I cannot support this business and would advise potential members to thoroughly research current experiences before committing financially.

A few improvements I would like to see at the gym are brighter lighting and opportunities to interact with other members hosted events that are not just about recruiting new members but also to inform women about the benefits of weightlifting, nutrition other trends which I believe would be well received.

I feel so much healthier, and the community here is so friendly. There's a great variety of styles, and the overall environment is welcoming whether you're newer to dance or more experienced. There are so many amazing instructors, but I try to never miss a class with Hanna (hip-hop). Her energy is so high and positive that it's honestly therapeutic. She's an incredible teacher who breaks down choreography in a way that makes it feel doable, even when it's challenging. I also really enjoy Loups (hip-hop) -- he's hilarious, great for fundamentals, and somehow always drops the best life advice. Also a special shoutout to Elm (hip-hop), Yuki & Brooke (K-pop), Maoka (house), and Adrianna (jazz funk) -- their classes are so much fun as well. One thing I really appreciate is their community app where they post the class videos. It is so helpful for looking back to see your progress and figuring out how to improve. It's right next to a KBBQ spot with a tiny lot that fills up fast, so I recommend street parking. If you've ever wanted to learn how to dance, this is the place to start! First class is free!

The instructors are supportive and welcoming and I really enjoy the group class environment. Plus the 50% off the first class didn't hurt. The classes range from beginner to advanced. If you are new to Pilates take the Reformer Essentials to get your footing and learn the basics. For the more intermediate to advanced I highly recommend Reformer Mix with instructor Chelsea. With Chelsea I experience a full body workout with different routines every week using all of the equipment . I have truly stepped up my pilates game with Chelsea. The Reformer Sculpt class is also a excellent option for an advanced class that does exactly what the class title says. Instructor/owner Eden is my fave for Sculpt. The studio offers yoga classes and these have been a game changer. Instructor Brooke is an amazing yoga + pilates instructor who is down to earth and very encouraging. Instructor Consuelo is peaceful and intentional with Gentle Yoga Slow Flow for a more easy and meditative flow. If you're in or near Long Beach check out the studio. They offer classes from 6am - 7pm. 5 stars
