First, Strap Strength which I assume is a TRX variant. I really liked this one! And then I stayed for the next class, Fit for Life. That was a totally different class that went through stretch, balance and resistance band strength exercises. For a first timer, in every class, I felt welcome and was impressed that even though these were group classes, instruction was tuned to each of us as if it was a personal training session. The gym is very clean, neat and well organized. And the location is amazing. A gym set in a corner of a beautiful marina! I loved it. The schedule is set up for regulars as well as drop ins. For me that is a huge plus. Harbor Fitness gets "thumbs up" from me.

There wasn't availability so I didn't book but I am appreciative that they provide a response with additional helpful info that I didn't even think to ask. It is so crazy to me that a lot of studios didn't get back to me or haven't even replied since I initially reached out to those studios over a week ago and LIV replied the next day. I appreciate their prompt response, helpfulness and level of customer service.

Some of the Argentine tango moves were complicated but Ilona was able to patiently provide feedback and cause us to pull off a flawless performance! People called our dance "beautiful" and some were moved to tears, We appreciate Ilona for encouraging us to practice and also get the attire and shoes to practice in before the wedding. Rem provided a Spotify playlist prior to the event to allow us to inspect the songs and request others. At the party, the DJ booth really brought life to the party and was a great buffer between activites and mealtime. Also the added convenience of being able to make announcements over his mic proved much more effective over yelling at our guests at the top of our lungs to get their attention..lol.. We collabed on playing a "Hot Potato" type game with the kids for a prize, and all in all, I can't thank him enough for the awesome time everyone had. Her classes are small, and she's all about individual attention…read more Instead of simply dancing at the head of the class and having us follow her, she teaches us combinations and carefully watches us to make sure we're actually moving right. She also is the only teacher I've ever had (and I've had quite a few) who teaches zills. All of her students (including me) get quite good with them. Another thing that makes learning under her great is that there are opportunities to perform on a somewhat regular basis. This gets us comfortable in front of audiences. Perhaps the best thing about learning from Amaya is the "family" feeling among the dancers and Amaya herself. It makes coming to class a joyful thing.
