7/21/26 AVOID MAIN STREET AUTO…read more This has been the worst mechanic experience of my life. tl;dr Avoid Main Street Auto. They do shotty work and avoid you when trying to confront them about it for a refund. Brought down a 1998 Ford Expedition for a loss of power and a jerking feeling. Was told we needed an intake gasket and new spark plugs/coils. Ok, we approved the repairs. Get the car back 3 days and $1800 later. The vehicle feels the exact same. Nothing changed. Go back down and they said they will look at it again. We are told the catalytic converter was clogged and they are going to remove them to test drive. I also believe that didn't happen, but we are told it wasn't the issue. They find that it has a dead sensor in the intake so that gets replace which we pay $300 for. Vehicle gets some power back but is still jerking and idling weirdly. We are unable to return immediately because we had a death in the family and had to take care of that. Around 4-5 days later, we are back home and again dealing with the vehicle. We decide to go Manginos here in town to see if they can figure it out. Manginos discovered that they didn't even do the work. See attached pictures. Manginos fixes the PCV and EGR valves for cheap and the vehicle drives just fine. Power is back and everything works, but we are still out $1800 for spark plugs and coils that didn't get installed. Now we head back to Main Street Auto. We get told they parted ways with the mechanic that did the work originally and Mark tells us he will check the vehicle and make sure the spark plugs and coils are good to go himself. So we decide to give him a chance to make it right. But instead he decides to just leave the vehicle with one of his guys who does the worst job ever. We go down after getting the call saying it is ready. IT NOW RIDES WORSE THEN WHEN WE HAD THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM! They are now refusing to refund us in anyway, because the vehicle was fine when it left which is a complete lie. Evidence was provided on what happened and the garbage mechanic who originally did the job doesn't work there. Mark doesn't even offer some sort of middle ground. They hire bottom of the barrel mechanics who are incompetent and do half ass jobs. Save yourself the money and the headache and go to a mechanic that actually knows what they are doing like Manginos.

They towed my truck in to their shop and everything seemed perfectly fine from the start. As I was…read morewaiting for one of the mechanics to drop me off at the Super 8 about a mile away. I noticed a sign that says, "If you buy your own parts, there will be 15% added to the labor" which was a definite red flag in hindsight. The issues started when I called in to get an estimate. They said they could not send me an estimate to my email of everything itemized. They just offered a total figure. Upon asking them to breakdown the costs individually, they ended up trying to charge me $2900 for the radiator when a fan, fan shroud, radiator and hose all together costs $3300 when he fan shroud for my Pete costs $900... You can figure out how much they mark up their prices. When asking Jeff and Kelly about the breakdown of how much the labor costs (which goes by a set amount of hours from the book) they initially told me that it was 6 hours... But because I wanted to buy my own parts, the cost was now 8 hours. If I'm not happy with it, I am more than happy to have my truck towed to Peterbilt in Pueblo... Ok so let me break this down, because I'm not letting you make a million dollars off marking the parts up... You're saying now it suddenly takes more time to fix my truck and now the amount per hour also goes up? These guys are out of their mind. When I called back the next day to just have them tow my truck like Kelly suggested, Kelly threw a hissy fit and said that they refuse to tow my truck and that I will have to find someone else to tow it for me. This is the absolute last time I go here again for a tow or repair in southern Colorado. I wouldn't recommended my enemy to go to Kelly's towing for water if he were to be dying of thirst in the Sahara Desert and he was the only game in town. You have been warned about their deceptive price practices. Right down the street there are definitely honest guys at J&M Tire and Towing. Their labor is cheaper, its a bigger shop, better work and they're honey guys that aren't trying to take advantage of a situation and making a million dollars off of you.

The best experience at an auto repair shop! I had rented a moving trailer from a different location…read moreand the trailer lights were not working due to my Toyota 4Runner having faulty electrical. The part needed is no longer manufactured, no one in town could help me and I thought I would have to postpone my 900 mile trip. I stopped by Kelly's as a last-ditch effort and they immediately began troubleshooting both trailer and truck. The mechanic on duty was Robert and he's pretty amazing with his abilities, skills and great attitude! A part was quickly delivered and I watched Robert expertly rewire, test and finish the job like a pro. I was expecting to pay an enormous bill so it was a surprise when the total cost was so reasonable! I was on my way in less than two hours, a happy camper! I would trust this business for honest, high quality work.
