My favourite cookie place. Consistent quality no matter which location you go to - this one included! Ordered a peanut butter and 2 double trouble chocolate cookies for the airplane ride. However we didn't end up eating them until the next day and they were just as good despite being in the paper bag for over 24 hours! They have a loyalty stamp card so be sure to start one if you don't have it already!

We passed a CBG flying in so I was craving some and had to stop. The cookies are thick so they all looked scrumptious. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/cookies-by-george-nisku?select=wA2OH158pjwqaISSgHCNog#wA2OH158pjwqaISSgHCNog http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/cookies-by-george-nisku?select=wA2OH158pjwqaISSgHCNog#4cXTSSFCBCLd6jqShXB0OA HALF DOZEN: (It's cheaper) PEANUT BUTTER: This was chewy and delicious. CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER: Found it a bit sweet but was good nonetheless. MILK CHOCOLATE: I needed milk badly after eating this. PEACHES 'N' CREAM: Light and creamy. This was quite good. All the cookies here were pretty good, probably one of the better chain-cookie places I've tasted. Nice and thick, chewy and the flavors were really great.

The cookies weren't too expensive you can buy either a half or a full dozen for a better deal..

Dark Kiss Coffee is a to-go drive-up coffee spot in Leduc. They run out of a trailer that is in the…read moresame parking lot of the Leduc Chamber of Commerce on the north end of Leduc. They've been here for a few years and I've been here a lot. Dark Kiss has great coffee drinks like lattes and wide variety of syrups to try (all sugar free so great if you're diabetic). There's also tea drinks on the menu, smoothies, and I think milkshakes too. I'm lactose intolerant so I usually get a latte with oat milk. They have also started roasting their own coffee, which you can also buy. If you want a sweet treat temhey usually have a variety of baked goods from local bakers. They have Calmar donuts a few times a week (those will sell out quickly). And their bagels are from The Bagel Bar. Today I got one of their seasonal drinks "A Christmas Story Macchiato" and a dill bagel, both were delicious. Even if you don't opt for a baked treat with your coffee they always give you a little biscoff cookie. Staff is always really friendly and able to give recommendations if you don't know what to order. I've never been disappointed here. Lines can sometimes get long but it takes time to get a drink. The only downside to Dark Kiss is that they're only open until 3pm and they are a drive- up place. If Dark Kiss had an actual space to sit down as enjoy a drink that would be amazing. Maybe one day, but for now I'm happy to take my coffee (and hopefully a Calmar donut) to go.

They've also extended their hours a bit so they're open earlier and little later than before, but Phat Tony's is still a breakfast/lunch place. They're not open for dinner. I haven't tried any of the breakfast sandwiches, but I've come here for lunch a couple of times. You can dine in or take your sandwich to do. Their sandwiches are freshly made and massive. They come with a dill pickle wedge, and side (garden salad or coleslaw or potato salad). I always opt for the potato salad. I generally don't like restaurant potato salads (prefer homemade) but I love the potato salad at Phat Tony's. They also usually have a few soups on hand if you want something warm. And there are salads and wraps too. They also usually have some baked goods and squares, but the portions are so large I never have room for dessert. If you leave Phat Tony's hungry you've done it wrong. If you're looking for a sandwich in Leduc definitely give Phat Tony's a go. I'll be back again.

Got take out twice. Donair Grilled cheese: 12/10 delicious. Will be getting again! Great price too. Potato salad it comes with is 10/10 too. Potato soup: 12/10 best I've had in a very long time! Phat Tony's Ultimate Sandwich: 9/10, just not as good as the Donair sandwich. Chicken Noodle soup: 4/10. Way too may vegetables and not enough noodles for my liking.

Rise Coffee is a small locally run coffeeshop located in Nisku inside the Leduc County Business and…read moreEntrepreneur Centre. This is also the location of Chartier's Mother's Bakery so it may smell like fresh baked bread when you get inside. That's a separate business though. Rise Coffee has a small coffee menu, but they've got a few standard coffee and tea drinks, and some some seasonal offerings. They do sometimes have pastries, but you'd need to get there early in the day because they'll sell out. Why I love Rise Coffee is because of what it supports. It was started by the Riseup Society, a charity (CRA registered) in Leduc that offers support for those experiencing domestic violence. And while I wish we lived in a world where this wasn't needed that's not the case. And if I can support Riseup, which I'm sure has helped many people, by purchasing a latte then I'm happy to do so. All of the proceeds from Rise Coffee goes back to Riseup Society. And you can book their coffee cart for special events including weddings. Rise Coffee is in a strange location, being in the middle of an industrial park. There isn't a big sign on the building saying Rise Coffee (least not from my last visit), but if you see two big red Muskoka chairs outside you're at the right place. Rise Coffee occupies just a small space in this building, which I'm sure is used for conferences and events. You can take your drink to go but there is lots of space to stay and enjoy your drink too. Rise Coffee is a nice place to stop and get a coffee and to support a great organization. If you're passing by Nisku between 8am and 4pm during the week then take a detour and stop in at Rise Coffee.

Lovely view, tasty coffee, friendly staff, and proceeds going to a great cause? Literally can't imagine a better spot. Stop by if you are in the area, it is sooo worth it!
