They were out today for an issue with my A/C that had gone down last night. I called this morning around 8:00 and they were here by 9:00 to fix the problem. They are always timely, tell me what is the matter, help me to do the right things to keep the unit running. John and Jacob are always friendly and efficient. I enjoy the interactions with Sarina in the office. She's quick to get the connections to John and Jacob on the road. I highly recommend them.

He did not have one on the truck so he said it would be $200 to drive and pick it up and then $200 to take out the old one and put the new one in. It literally took the guy 5 minutes to take out the old motor, and I felt this was too much to pay so I called Craig W. Krueger and was told there was a $70 service call and about $150 to put a new motor in. I asked when could they be out, and I was given a 2 hour window. I then asked Avalon if they would match the price and he said: HE DOES NOT HAGGLE PRICES AND THAT IS WHAT HE CHARGES. He then got mad at me and grabbed my motor and put it on the driveway and left!! I'm a homeowner who would like to share my grievances with OEL (OEL Heating & Cooling, LLC) that…read moreYelp readers may find helpful. My grievance with OEL is with their unlicensed technicians and their refusal to take responsibility for their errors. OEL failed to properly inspect my AC drain lines which prolonged my AC problems for 3 and a half years. OEL's carelessness has led to other issues resulting in unnecessary restoration work. I have also come to question OEL's professionalism and work at the conclusion of this experience for two reasons: their defensive behavior and their lack of explanation for the physically damaged AC hard copper drain line they didn't discover. Who broke the AC drain line in the attic since OEl were the only ones who accessed my attic until the leak was discovered by another plumber on May 3, 2021 who had taken these attached photos? My AC issue with OEL could have been resolved earlier if they had a licensed technician inspect my AC drain lines in the attic when I first had an issue with my AC. This AC issue carried on for 3.5 years attributed to a clogged drain line starting on October 6, 2017. OEL technicians responded to my many service calls to fix the problem only to respond with the same remedy of unclogging and treating the drain line instead of taking the time to find the root cause of the clogging issue in the drain lines. AC Drain Line Installation - 2017/07/22 The issue with my AC drain lines dates back to a water leak I had on the first floor in a storage area beneath the stairs. This problem was resolved by installing the AC hard copper drain lines in the attic directly above the AC unit in the closet on the second floor. OEL installed the AC hard copper drain lines and completed the work with a final inspection on July 22, 2017. Initial AC Problems two months later - 2017/10/06 Second AC Problem 10 months later - 2018/08/07 Third AC Problem 3 days later - 2018/08/10 Fourth AC Problem up to one year later - 2019/08/06 Fifth AC Problem 6 months later - 2020/02/05 Sixth AC Problem 12 months later - 2021/03/28 OEL Service Call Next Day - 2021/03/29 I asked and insisted that Wyatt, the OEL's technician, check the AC copper drain lines in the attic. Wyatt disregarded and refused to climb into the attic to inspect the AC drain lines insisting that the leak wasn't from the AC. Wyatt documented "Completed service system call. Client stated water leaking around light beneath 2 upstairs restrooms. Did not find anything dysfunctional with AC unit." on the invoice receipt. The following morning, March 30, I called OEL requesting Wyatt G. to inspect the AC drain line. I once again asked him to inspect the drain line in the attic and he refused. Wyatt expressed frustration because he didn't feel his visit was necessary. Broken AC drain line discovery - 2021/05/03 On May 3, 2021 I contacted a plumber, Mike of Tampa Bay Plumbers, to find the source of the water leak. Mike confirmed that the leak did not come from the plumbing lines. He asked to access the attic and found a cracked copper drain line installed by OEL. I then called OEL to fix the copper drain line they installed and refused to inspect in the attic. Chad S. and Wyatt arrived to service my call at 11:30am. OEL documented the following statement, "Found crack in condensate line that appeared to have been stepped on and cracked on trist. Repaired line with 3/8 hose and hose clamps. Removed wet insulation. Purged line with 2 gallons of water. Found no other cracks." Signed by Wyatt. Chad S. completed the job by repairing the line with clamps and final checks two weeks later on May 17th. He confirmed there weren't any water leaks. Chad refused to admit all 12 yellow receipts were drain line related work since 7/22/2017-05/03/2021. OEL's defensive behavior adds to my suspicion of the physically damaged AC hard copper drain line in the attic. I first met Seth when I had AC issues several years ago. He was prompt & reasonable. I then called…read morehim again about 18 months ago after the storms. He sent another guy out to check out my system. Fast forward to this summer & I was having a tough time reaching him. I needed new ductwork & I needed the system reinstalled cause it was no longer level. I was in the process of getting estimates when I mentioned Garland air. Well I was talking to a tech when Seth starts texting me. He was on my phone... guess I had accidentally called him. He asked to come out & give me an estimate. I said ok. A few hours later his son showed up who was also very polite. Zeke & Connor crawled under the house & took pics & videos. This was a few days before Christmas. Seth showed up & reviewed everything then gave us an offer. We agreed & he was here at 9am the next morning. They worked all day & night & made sure everything was working great. The next day my husband crawled under the house (old house) to see how it looked. He said it looked very professional. The ducts were tied up off the ground (unlike previous installs) the huge system was completely clean & level. The only thing we had to wait for was the steel cover. The cover finally came in & Seth came to install it today. I was in a meeting so I missed him but he still did a great job. I wanted to update my review because I have had so many terrible AC companies out here. Most of them are unreliable & don't do such great work. The companies that are generally reliable are quite expensive. Garland Air does great work at reasonable prices. I am so glad I accidentally called him that day. I will forever recommend Garland Air. They aren't afraid to get dirty to finish the job. I had at least 5 others out here that gave me estimates for new ductwork yet they never actually looked at the ductwork. They even stayed until 10pm to make sure it was all perfect prior to leaving my house. If you're in need of a new AC company... I highly recommend Garland Air. Thanks again guys! Happy new year!
