This park has bathroom facilities which is located near the parking and playground area. There is a paved path with a Health and Fitness course for exercise. The path goes past the playground all the way back to a small lake area past the backyards of neighborhood houses and plenty of trees. A peaceful walk in the morning or early evening is perfect. Most of the fitness pieces were disabled as well as the playground because of Covid but there is still plenty of open space to get outside and move freely.

This is a beautiful community center located in Volunteer Park in Plantation. The center has…read moremeeting rooms with seating from 10 to 175 people. The main banquet room can seat 50 to 240 people. It has a dance floor and stage and a grand piano can be made available. The center also has a full service kitchen with a convection oven, walk-in cooler, ice machines and commercial warmers. The community center can be rented for weddings and other events. I attend a rummage sale held at the community center that benefited the Plantation Historical Society. Two large rooms were filled with vendors selling books, housewares, clothes, sporting goods, toys, collectibles, and all the usual kind of things you find these second hand item sales. I was able to find a one of a kind fancy feeding station for my dogs that has a crown. It was nice to shop the items and help a worthy organization at the same time. The next event that will be held here is a craft fair to benefit the Plantation Woman's Club on Nov 9 - Nov 10, 2019.

Love the fact that they have emergency stations all around with AED machines and around the lake with rescue flotation devices. Definitely was built with a child safety mindset as many kids playing sports at the park etc. Park is clean and well maintained all around. There are also playgrounds and climbing areas for the kids and gazebos to celebrate birthdays. Classic family oriented Coral Springs vibe. Plenty of green areas and there are nice lake areas. Safety is always first in Coral Springs, you can find life vest stations all around the lake areas and AED and CPR stations with photo instructions complete with solar panel. A few benches under a large shade tree to take a break from the extreme heat today. Noticed they had a 'Little Free Library' constructed next to the benches. Across the field at the South end of the park was a fenced in dog park where we took the puppy to play with another small dog and he loved it. A water fountain and doggy poop bags are offered. No shade whatsoever so beware.

All of the parks in Emerald Hills are filled with families highlighting what a close knit community this is.

Melaleuca Park is the neighborhood park for this community and serves as recreational resource for residents. Amenities include a modern, shade covered playground designed for children ages 5 to 12. It has ADA-accessible play structures and swing sets. The park also has two tennis courts and a basketball hoop, On the day I visited the park was filled children enjoying basketball and the playground equipment. In addition to play and exercise opportunities, the park also unites the community with its Core Conversations series. Dania Beach residents can meet representatives from the City Manager's Office, BSO Law Enforcement & Fire Rescue, Public Services, Permitting, Parks & Recreation, and Code Compliance.

Coconut Creek residents can rent the fields for a discounted rate. Prices are on the Coconut Creek city website. The lights here are great so you can play at night. On the evening I stopped by every court and field was filled. If you rent at night the fee is a little higher for use of the lights.

He kept our group of about 20 engaged. Gophers and their habitats are protected in Florida. There's a man-made lake in the middle of the sanctuary, which is up to 60 feet deep in places. The soil that was dug out to make the lake was transferred to the Sports Plex to level that land during its construction. We saw a tortoise and a raccoon during the walk and heard many birds. The walkway was paved and wide. This park is part of the million orchid initiative, we saw many tiny orchid plants attached to trees Although the sanctuary locked when there is no tour, there is a paved walkway outside the gated area. There is a nice playground for children and restrooms. The sanctuary is located in a Coral Springs neighbourhood. There is sufficient parking.
