I really don't understand the negative reviews except the one about smoking. That would upset me too. I knew by walking in the office that they were smokers and instructed them that I do not want my car to smell from smoke. Derek assured me that it wouldn't and it didn't. I have to say I was extremely satisfied with the finished product! My car is a 2007 Acura MDX (12 years old) and just turned 100,000 miles. It's my baby and will drive it until I die. Derek made the car look 'Showroom New.' There were some scratches and door dings that are now completely gone. My right headlight cover had scratches and was getting a little discolored. Somehow, the scratches are gone and it's now crystal clear. The inside detail was incredible. I have had many auto details in the past, but this was by far the best I have ever seen. I have used Cooper Detailing in the past to detail my SUV and have been very happy with them - until yesterday. While the young man that I left my SUV with was as nice as could be, my concerns about not allowing smoke in my vehicle were ignored. I have a severe allergic reaction (chest pain, unable to breathe - even second hand smoke and residue) which I stated when I dropped the car off. When I arrived to pick it up, someone in the office (management/owner?) was smoking so much that it was drifting into my car. I started closing all the doors, mentioning the smoke getting in there. Today, more than 24 hours later, my car smells horrible and I now have chest pains from having to wash the entire interior of my car, which I could have done without taking it to Cooper and paying $200 for what should have been a clean car. I still have to wash the carpeting and overhead cloth. I am beyond upset about this. They offered to spray "new car" deodorant in the car but you cannot remove smoke after it permeates carpeting, overhead cloth and leather!!! Nicotine leaves a residue that has to be washed out and I don't know how I'm going to get it all out (or if I even can) before my vacation on Monday which will be ruined if I can't go because I can't even get in the vehicle. If you're in the business of CLEANING a vehicle, you should not be allowing smoke from anywhere to DIRTY it. I own a black, very unique and expensive, sports car. I won't let just anyone detail it. I live right here in Hendersonville, NC. (Unlike a couple of what I believe can only be highly suspect 1 star spam reviews for this business. One has posted only all 1 star reviews and has 0 friends. The other one? Same thing. No friends and posted only all 1 star reviews. Definitely suspect in my opinion.) I cannot recommend Derek here enough to you, to work on your vehicle. Whatever it is. It will shine far beyond your expectations, inside or out, or both, when he's done with it. He doesn't just go the extra mile either. He goes Twenty extra miles, to make sure your vehicle will look its absolute best. He's THAT good and cares that much about Every vehicle he works on. How do I know? I have had Derek clean multiple cars for me over multiple years and multiple times. Every one and every time, they have far exceeded my visual expectations. (Wow!) Plus, his service is exemplary. As long as he's in business, I'll keep going back to him only. (He can detail anything!) Why am I taking the time to write this review? Because it pains me greatly to see a business owner receive in my opinion such unwarranted negative reviews when from my personal experience, on an ongoing yearly basis, they in no way shape or form reflect the outstanding level of service and outcome in the least, that this business provides on a daily basis and, that has continually shown me throughout the years of my going there. The reality is though that we all know there are negative review spammers out there who do this for a living. Of course, negative reviews are written for many reasons, many designed to turn you negative toward the establishment so you'll go to someone the typically one star reviewer might recommend or, perhaps because the negative reviewer just had a bad day and decided to take it out on the business, or, maybe they just didn't realize that the problem was not the business but the vehicle in reality in the first place, etc. I can only state that in my dealings with Derek here at Cooper Complete Detailing, that he is the real deal, a true professional who knows the craft and art of detailing like no one else I have ever met. I cannot recommend him enough to you. Let me finish by saying that I won't just let anyone detail my vehicles. They're too rare and expensive. Plus, I don't settle for second best and you shouldn't either, regardless of what you drive. If you're thinking of having your vehicle detailed, whatever it is, go see Derek first. I brought my Jeep here yesterday for interior detailing. This is one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a business. Not only did they take an extra 3 hours from what they initially told me, finishing well past 8pm and leaving me sitting around waiting, the job they did was completely sup-par. That's not even the half of it though. When I got about 3 miles away, the check engine light came on, and the engine started rattling. Luckily, I usually deal with businesses with integrity, and my amazing mechanic from C&D Auto Repair and Restorations was able to come out and assist me after hours. It turns out, the unprofessional people at Cooper Complete Detailing pressure washed under the car and ruined the fuel hose. I'm not sure why they were even under there since I only requested interior detailing! Next, it seems like they reset the battery so the check engine light would temporarily come off. Tricky cover-up. When I called them this morning to complain, they refused to issue a refund or take responsibility for the new repairs I'm having to pay for. They hung up on me mid-sentence, and they won't answer their phone. Since they only accept cash, I don't even have a way of filing a complaint with my credit card company. Be warned.
