I saw a total of four foot and ankle surgeons and Dr Steinlauf was by far the best. He spent over an hour with me, during my visit, and showed great patience, compassion and empathy with me. He answered all my questions and was straight up with me regarding my diagnosis and prognosis. Afterwards, I reached out to my network and I got in touch with the NY Jets team orthopedist. He told me that Dr Steinlauf is the best surgeon he has ever worked with and if he was going under the knife, it would be Steinlauf who would perform his surgery. My surgery was over 4 hours and I will be in recovery for awhile, but I know I am in the best hands. If you're looking for a foot and ankle doctor, Steinlauf is your guy. He specializes in trauma and he welcomes difficult procedures. I am sure there are other good foot and ankle surgeons in south Florida, but why waste your time if Steinlauf is an option? I was a bit lost being my first time and walked down to the lobby for advice. The elevators you plug into a pad at the entrance to the elevators and it tells you what elevator to take. Once inside this smart elevator brings you to the floor as you already entered the information. Once inside you will meet Elaine the nicest person you will ever meet at a medical professional office in your life. After filling in the 10 pages of paperwork and pay co pay you wait for your turn to see the doctor. Once I was called in I met the doctors assistant who took down some additional information and took my blood pressure. The doctor arrives shortly after and we discuss my issue. After he reviews my tests and MRI he rules out needing surgery and refers me to his associate for therapy. I appreciate his quick and thorough assessment rather than making me come back and forth for months without a resolution.

This office is a joke!!!!…read more After seeing this doctor and several sessions of physical therapy (16 were prescribed!) I wanted to see another specialist. I returned to this office to get my x-rays and the manager told me that the only way to get them is on a CD and I was charged $10.00 for it. I told her that I have 3 computers at home and none of them have a CD player. No one uses CD's anymore. I brought a USB key but she did not want to use it. Guess why? She answered that "It is the way that it is here and all our computers, laptop and desktop, have a CD player" (maybe also a floppy disk reader). You can imagine how old their computers are and how dated this office is!!! All my other physicians have a patient portal and x-rays can be immediately viewed and downloaded. I had to go back because the CD was blank!!!! The second CD did not work either because they forgot to include the software that they use to burn the CD and be able to read it. The third one also cannot be opened on a Mac or PC. I had to do the X-rays again. Not only did this other physician give me a totally different diagnosis, but on the spot did a physical therapy session with me that included different exercises and I immediately felt much better..

(what a BS) Apparently thysical therapy in total 6 visits was performed on his premises and he cared only about being paid . Needless to say my severe pain has been exacerbated by therapy. My appointment with him was 2 weeks ahead and his staff refused to to make sooner appointment and denid to call me in case of cancelation : in the interim time I was suffering but nobody cared I myself is Florida liesenced physician and realised that it is a very shady office and have to see onother thysician I was seen by PMR doctor who immidietlly ordered MRI because I am a cancer patient and he wants to make sure that is not related and also he was not sure if I need any Physical therapy because it also can be a nerve damage which requres another treatment.
