Latty is amazing!! I needed to go out of town last minute and my cousin suggested Latty to take care of my dog. He arrived within minutes to pick up my dog and take her to his house. I was a little bit nervous because she is a rescue, has separation anxiety, and doesn't get along with other dogs and viciously barks at them when I walk her. But, he helped her with that. He not only took care of her, but he helped to train her and calm her anxiety. When I came home she was much more relaxed and now doesn't bark at other dogs when we go for walks. We've been taking Maya to see Latty since she was about 3 or 4 months old. She's 11 months now and very well behaved. We chose Latty because we have a Dogo Argentino which is a rare but very powerful breed and we had an actual human baby on the way too. Dogo Argentino's are known for hunting and taking down wild boar and some have been known to fight and win against Pumas and other powerful animals. So with that being said we knew that we had to train our Dogo puppy and train her well to keep her safe, learn proper etiquette around new baby and just be a great family dog. We've learned so much through Latty and our puppy responded well to his training methods. He's gentle and fun and encouraging. Latty listened to what our goals were with our Puppy and helped us reach them. What we also love about Latty is that he didn't require us to make a big commitment and that flexibility really worked for us. Basically we went once a week for an hour learned some New commands and what we needed to do to get our puppy to follow them. He stresses that you have to practice what you learn everyday during walks or on free time for our Puppy to really pick it up. It works. Consistency is key to a well balanced and well behaved dog! I usually don't write reviews but I had to since this dog walker never gets his due. But after reading "ONE" person's review I had to investigate. Well people if you want to trust some one with a love one, companion, family member such as your pet there could be no other person you could trust but this man. Not only do I trust him with my dog but he also has a key to my house to get him in the early mornings at 6 am. He truly "walks" and "runs" the dogs. Own a different note the person listed above that gave him a one star has a story to tell but unfortunately she told a lie. What truly happen was Latty was walking ALL of his dogs on a leash and this one person decided to walk their dog without a leash and guess what the dog is DEAF! To protect his client's dog and since the owner of the DEAF dog did not put a leash on his dog, Latty took out his pepper spray and ask to guy to get his dog. After Latty saw the dog getting aggressive at the other dogs so as he tried to walk away he had to spray the dog to prevent injuries on his dogs. NOW ME,... I would of took a stick and beat the other dog who was coming after my dog but Latty pepper sprayed to protect the health of the dogs he was walking. This person "melanie l." was not even there and did not tell even half the truth. If you want a honest person go to this man. The local PD came and took a report and the officer stated that the other person violated the on leash law and was given a ticket for it. Latty has been a great help with Athena! He's been able to get her out on walks and hikes with other dogs, which we thought would never happen. I know I can trust him to continue my dog's training. He's reliable, trustworthy, and I wouldn't trust my dog with anyone else. I also know Athena loves it as she comes home happy and tired! This post is in response to Jonathan's post below. Laddy is a expert dog trainer. Anyone with a brain would intelligently realize that his post was just a nasty attempt to hurt someone's business bc they are angry about something else in their miserable life. If you have been to this playground, the section for children is on one side, and the dogs are on a completely different side. As a Mother myself, having the dogs on a leash while doing obedience and agility training isn't a threat, but a treat to watch! The dogs have zero desire to disrupt the children. In fact, a child who observes us and some love to watch, can learn how to care for an animal which is a good thing. The child that day saw its own Mother act crazy and it was such a shame. I almost put the leash on her. There was never any threat. She asserted herself and came over to us because you could tell she was trying to start problems. When the woman approached us, and Jonathan you should feel really ashamed that that's your wife because she need some mental health and physical health help. You aren't doing your job as her husband. Never has any dog in that park under Laddy's guidance, ever hurt a child. Laddy is a expert!! Anyone lucky enough to find him would know this and anyone around him while he trains also would realize this and would know there is zero threat. This is some lame attempt to hurt someone's business bc they are miserable in their own lives and have nothing better to do. I'm sure anyone who reads this can see very clear what happened here. Re: the pepper spray incident: This reviewer presents a very one-sided view of an event in which the dog walker in question did act very responsibly to protect the dogs in his care. I think the other reviews confirm that Latty is indeed a compassionate and knowledgeable professional. Of course Yelp is a forum where people write their opinions, but this seems to me to be bordering on defamation of character. This review is long overdue. Latty of Go Dog Go! has been taking Nikolai, my Siberian Husky, on walks/runs twice a week for the past few years. Every Tuesday and Thursday, rain or shine, Latty arrives to take Nikolai out. Nikolai runs to the door with his tail wagging when he hears the knock, clearly happy that he's going with his "friend." He comes back tired and happy. Latty's years of experience are clearly evident by the way he handles my dog. What also is evident is the love he has for animals, I know that love is mutual when I see the way my pup looks up at him as they're leaving for their "adventure." Latty is the best dog walker I have ever had - and I've had several. I have a German shepherd who I have trained extensively but she still could not be with other dogs without growling and showing aggression. After going with Latty to the canyons to hike for several months, my shepherd, Star, has developed much better social skills and loves playing with other dogs. Latty has extensive experience in dog training. That makes him a much better walker than others. If you have trained your dog he will reinforce your training.
