I tell him what I was told before and he assures me that I can in fact be jetted. I said I want to hold off so I make sure I have the extra $700 the jetting will cost. He comes back out a week later WHILE IM AT WORK and does it anyway. I am just sent an invoice. Ended up Taking 7 days. they came out on July 2. Never replaced the Expansion valve bc this guy said it's not the Expansion valve, you have a leak. Took 2 1/2 hours to find the leak. Said the inside coil was bad, leaking Freon. He sent order to shop to get coil, should be a stock item. They will call you. I called them they said we don't have the coil in stock it will be 7-10 days to get it. I said are you kidding me. The guy was an absolute jerk to me, never even apologized for the first techs misdiagnosis, wasting a week on a part we do-not even need! It's 101 today was 102 yesterday. I said to them this is ridiculous I am supposed to wait 7-10 days after I have already waited 7 days. You haven't even apologized. He said there's nothing I can say or do to make you happy. Mike's employee, Julian, showed up right at the scheduled time of 8 am and was wearing a mask, which I appreciate. Julian was friendly, polite, organized, and efficient. I felt comfortable having him work at my house. The price was reasonable and they gave us a 10% discount for paying in cash. I like it when businesses do that. Julian did a nice job. I had attempted to replace a garbage disposal, but had an issue with a pipe falling apart. I emailed Rick after 9pm that night, and he responded to my email by calling before 8am the next morning. On the phone call, Rick clearly explained the work to be completed. Rick made the service call himself early in the afternoon, and resolved my issues quickly. He was able to access our crawl space, and navigate his way down there to running a new pipe for my kitchen sink. He installed the Garbage disposal, and cleared the clogged sink drain. The work was performed professionally, quickly.. and priced reasonably. The bill clearly listed all work performed, and detailed pricing. I called with a broken toilet flange, which is a half day's job for a somewhat knowledgeable homeowner at worst. I was quoted $3,000! When I balked it dropped to $2,000. Their estimate stated "repair is impossible" and they'd have to tear up the floor to replace the drain pipe and flange. I'm a DIY'r typically, but have recently found myself being a caregiver for a family member while working a FT job and simply didn't have the time for this project. I thought I'd throw it to a pro, expecting a $300 to $500 job and willing to go to $1,000 to get it off my plate and stimulate the economy. Sadly, they tried to take advantage of the situation. I guess the guy figured I was an idiot and would just pay anything, likely because where I live is a rather affluent area and I was honest about how hectic everything was at the moment. I did fix it myself, by replacing it. There were no cockamamy "shouldn't do that" type rigging. It was done properly to code. There was no need to tear anything up, and the job was done for $70 and a single trip to a local plumbing supply for a 6" replacement flange and items below that they loaded me up with. I cut it down to size, and simply PVC cemented in. Secure, tested with a dozen flushes, no leaks! I even got to buy a new tool as I didn't have a de-burring tool. 6" flange pipe: $31 PVC cleaner, primer, cement: $20 Deburring tool: $11 Rubber flange seal (no wax): $8

Finally, when it was connected without him, we were told there is a leak in what had been installed. We wanted to give him the opportunity to fix it but no one answers or calls back. Update: no response still. We had two plumbers come out and couldn't believe this is how it was left. There was also no shut off valve installed on the same floor which was out of code.
