I should have known better with what I experienced just trying to make an appointment and subsequent follow-up phone calls with their staff. My husband and I have had today's appointment for more than a month. I had issues with them regarding our health insurance, in that the Partin receptionist claimed they needed more information. I called my insurance provider, who told me the information that Partin needed. The receptionist who answered at Partin still wouldn't accept what my insurance carrier told me. I asked if Partin would call my insurance company. They claimed they couldn't. Finally, yesterday, my insurance company called Partin and said it was straightened out. I also asked the Partin people to email their forms to me because I don't fill out personal information on my phone. I gave them my email address. Did I get an email from them? No, no I didn't. Just another example of their grossly sub-par customer service. So, today we arrived early and were told they don't take our insurance because the doctor who accepted it was no longer there. I asked why they didn't contact me to let me know. They said they didn't know until they saw our insurance card. What's interesting about that is Dr. Myranda Partin is still on their "Meet the Doctors" website page. I have Type 2 diabetes and needed a digital retinal scan. Not all eye doctors' offices are equipped to do that. So, it's not like I can run up to LensCrafters to have this done. Partin wasted weeks and weeks and WEEKS of my time, and I would NEVER recommend them.

For context: I have a very mild astigmatism, not a severe one. My former provider (Northwest Vision Source) always ordered my daily toric lenses and my regular color lenses without requiring extra testing or an additional exam. I simply alternate between them depending on the day, which is extremely common and perfectly safe when you have a valid prescription on file. Urban Optics kept insisting they "can't" order non-toric lenses because they weren't "tested in office," and even claimed this was due to "state law." That is not correct. Nothing in state law prevents an optometrist from ordering cosmetic color lenses in the spherical prescription they already gave me. Instead of listening to what I actually explained multiple times, they repeatedly gave me canned responses and pushed for another exam for something I've already been wearing for years. It came off as rigid, dismissive, and not patient-centered at all. I ultimately asked for my prescription so I can go elsewhere. If you're someone who wears toric lenses and occasionally uses non-toric color lenses, or if you value flexibility and clear communication, this is probably not the clinic for you.

I was a patient for 8 years until recently. I never had any issue until a few weeks ago. During…read moremy annual appointment in November Dr. Glaze said I needed a contact for my right eye but have only wore one in my left eye for many years. When I tried the sample contact in the office I couldn't see anything so Dr Glaze said to just stay with wearing just my one contact. However, before Memorial Day my vision got worse so I called the office and said to order the other contact. When I received them it was for my left eye, but I wanted to be certain that it was indeed for that eye. I called the office to confirm and the girl said she would check with him and would get back with me. She never called back, so I called again and left a message on their answering machine, which states they will call back within a day. Again, didn't hear from anyone, so I called yet again because if I opened the contacts and they still didn't work I would be out the amount I already paid. I called and talked to another person and had to explain the same thing to her, and was told Dr Glaze would be back the Tuesday after Memorial Day so I waited until late Wednesday to call. I then spoke to their office manager and had to tell him the same thing and that I was having headaches and wasn't comfortable driving because my vision wasn't great. By now I was frustrated because I was then told Dr Glaze would not be back for another week . The office manager sent me more contacts that didn't work either. So, I called again and was told that they had some other contacts for me to try and I told the girl in my text that the contacts the office manger sent still didn't work, so I drove over 30 minutes one way to the office and when I got there they were the same contacts the office manager sent me, Clearly I was not happy and the office manager told me I was being difficult and rude to the staff, yet at no time did anyone offer to let me see another doctor, and they didn't even know when Dr. Glaze would be back, so if they want to say I'm was difficult, so be it. My husband runs a law office and his staff would know exactly when he would be back and they would offer a client that needed help the opportunity to see another attorney.

I have gone to this optometry clinic, I believe for around 15 years. I had something going on with…read moreone of my eyes. I was debating if I should go to an urgent care clinic or the eye doctor. I called here at 8am and they said they could see me at 1120am. I arrived about 5 minutes early and got checked in. Two people waiting were taken back plus another gentleman who came in after I did. It was about 30 minutes later that I asked about the wait. Someone comes out and they don't apologize, they just tell me it will be about another 10 minutes before they take me back and then it will be 30-40 minutes before the optometrist sees me. For how much more this clinic charges for eye exams compared to others, this level of care is pitiful. I took off from work to be seen so I was already losing money, I wasn't going to lose more money to wait another hour to be seen. Word of advice for the clinic. No one wants to wait for even half an hour before being seen. Making someone wait nearly 1.5 hours after their appointment was scheduled? That is absolutely outrageous, if you keep that it you can plan to losing more than just my business. I will never come back.
