Dr white walked us out to the lobby to pick out glasses and while my daughter and I were looking, the lady came over very disrespectful, rudely saying the glasses were to big for her face while pulling them off and when my daughter went to try the second pair on told her they looked great and continued to fill out the paper work for them. We felt very rushed and my daughter hadn't even got to see them on her in the mirror! I felt she was very unorganized and unprofessional. She tried rushing everyone in and out like she had somewhere to be. The Dr. and other ladies we're wonderful, maybe just a bad day for the other one. Hopefully we'll have better luck when picking up the glasses next week.

This morning I was diagnosed with shingles on my face, and my doctor wanted me to see an…read moreoptometrist right away to make sure it hadn't spread to my eyes. After leaving the office, I started calling around trying to find someone who could see me the same day. After a bit of a hunt, I found Oklahoma City Vision. The receptionist was super nice and told me to just come on in since I was already nearby instead of waiting an hour and a half for my appointment time. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted right away. Both receptionists were so friendly, and I was called back about 10 minutes after checking in. The tech who helped me was amazing--so kind, knowledgeable, and familiar with autoimmune conditions. She took her time going through my medical history and made me feel really comfortable. After she finished, I only waited a few minutes before Dr. Pitts came in. He was so patient, kind, and detail-oriented. I've been getting annual eye exams for over 30+ years, and I've never had a doctor be so thorough or explain things in such detail. Usually, I get my exam, grab my prescription, and leave--but this visit was completely different. Right away, Dr. Pitts noticed I had severe dry eyes and actually took the time to talk through past treatments and new options besides just eye drops (which never seem to be covered by insurance anyway!). I had no idea there were other treatments available, so that was a really pleasant surprise. Thankfully, the shingles hadn't spread to my eyes, so I decided to go ahead and do my regular exam. Dr. Pitts showed me the images of my eyes and explained everything so clearly. I told him I hate driving at night because I can't see well, and he figured out it was because of my previous prescription! He explained exactly what needed to be fixed. I couldn't remember what vision insurance I had, and I planned on paying out of pocket. I told the tech this as well. She started naming vision insurance one name sounded familiar VSP. While helping me with contact lenses, she took it upon herself to check my insurance and found that I actually had VSP coverage. That ended up saving me about $250! She definitely didn't have to do that, but it meant so much. Overall, I was so impressed and grateful that they fit me in last-minute and still gave me such a thorough, unhurried exam. Dr. Pitts and his team were wonderful from start to finish. I left there understanding more about my eyes than I ever have before. I also left with a week's worth of trial contacts, and my vision already feels so much better! I'm actually excited to go back next week for my recheck, dry eye treatment, and to pick out some new glasses.

The manner in which he speaks to you while conducting his exams, he would have you believe that you are a work of art and he's there to be inspired by the beauty in your near-sighted eyes, as well as the brilliance of your inherent actions. He asked me to look to the right, and blink. I did. "That's just amazing!" He asked me to look to the left and down. I did. "Fantastic! You're doing wonderful." He's very thorough when it comes to the eye exams, I've stopped in 2-3 times just to ask questions and each time, he'd pull me into an exam room to check my eyes again. And he's kind of sing-songy in the way he talks during the exam. He's a fascinating man. At the end of it all, he'll thank you like you did him a favor by letting him look into the windows of your soul. If he has any children, I bet they have an insane amount of positive self-regard flying out of their orifices at any given moment. I would disagree somewhat with the statement from Sean G. "They make you feel like family from the moment you walk in the for [sic]." They are lovely people who will remember your name and treat you amazingly, but only after they get to know you. They may even come off as somewhat standoffish initially (I know it isn't intentional) but that's easily remedied if you're not an easily offendable jerk. I just mention this because when you walk in, they may very well look up at you real quick and say, "have a seat" without a smile. From what I can tell, it's because they're usually fairly busy and they're focused on whatever they happen to be doing at the time. But when that focus is turned on you, the focus is on you and only you. My favorite optician (and they're all nice in their own way so this isn't to suggest that the others aren't lovely) is Laquita. She walked me through every process. I was uncertain about whether I wanted to switch to contacts, but she helped me make an informed decision. When I had issues with a trial pair of contacts that was provided, she gave me a different brand to try without question. Granted, I've kind of interacted with them more than the average patient because I work close by and would run in almost every other day to hassle them about one thing or another. Expect to spend a fair amount of time when you stop in. Speed is not emphasized. One time, when I went to get my eyes dilated, I expected to be there for 20 minutes tops. It ended up taking an hour. Their frames selection is pretty good. Significantly better than other similar optometrists nearby, but obviously not as large of a selection that one would find at chains like LensCrafters. Regardless, I appreciate that they keep up with current fashion trends, and their prices are very reasonable (assuming your vision insurance isn't crap). I would highly recommend the singing optometrist. If you ever need an ego boost for breathing all while having your eyes dilated in a very professional and thorough manner, Dr. Cooper would be the one to see. Get it? See! Because he's an optometrist! Okay, I'll stop.

I was really surprised that they would be so willing to help someone they had never met. I could tell they gave up part of their lunch to see me. They did all kinds of tests and told me I needed a Retina Specialist. They then called and got me an appointment with the specialist. I had also just changed insurance and didn't have my new card. They worked with me until I could get the insurance information for them. They definitely went above and beyond to help me. I am so thankful for all they did to help me.

In April, I ordered new lenses for my Oct. 2023 frames due to a prescription change and issues with lenses popping out. I picked them up in July and was told the lenses were taped in because they were slightly too small--something I was told was "normal." The tape came off the first time I cleaned them, and a lens popped out. I called on Aug. 5 and was told a new set of lenses would be ordered, but no one checked my frames beforehand. On Aug. 11, the second set still had to be taped in. I spoke with Dr. Sparks on Aug. 12 and shared that I was never warned my frames could be the issue. Had I known, I wouldn't have ordered lenses at all. The office manager offered me frames from a box of unsellable inventory. On Aug. 21, I went in but the box wasn't available. I was told I could choose any frame without a white tag, but none worked for me. I asked for a refund and was told it might not be possible due to a change in ownership. Chelsea said she'd follow up by Aug. 22 or I could come in on Aug. 23. I didn't make it in, but I picked frames from their website. Chelsea ordered them and the lenses were refunded. On Sept. 2, Chelsea said the frames I chose were unavailable. I picked new ones on Sept. 9, and she confirmed they were ordered. On Sept. 11, a lens fell out while I was facilitating a meeting. I asked about the new frames and was told they were ordered but no ETA. On Sept. 15, I was told I didn't need to be measured for progressives, but I insisted. On Sept. 16, I went in but realized the wrong frames had arrived. Chelsea confirmed the vendor's mistake and reordered the correct ones. On Sept. 18, the correct frames arrived. I was measured and told they'd be ready in two weeks. On Sept. 30, I was notified they were ready, and I picked them up on Oct. 6. I am just happy to have a pair of working a reliable eyewear after almost 5 months.
