This is the most rip off law firm we have ever worked with. A company rented our house and went bankrupt. We wanted to evict the tenants because they have not been paying rent for the past 4-5 months. My parents were referred by a crook to this company. Their service is based on how much our property is worth. BIG BIG BIG red flag. They are essentially scamming elders because they do not know any better. I have found law firms that charge a flat rate of 1000 dollars for eviction. This shady company has charged us over 60,000 dollars and counting. Every couple months they would send us a bill for 3000 + dollars; even though the tenants have moved out for months already. Avoid at all cost and Avoid a realtor and contractor name Sonny for referring this company. He is probably swimming in referral commissions right now. read more

Attorneys don't have a passion for what they do. No enthusiasm, lack of service and care.

Unfortunately Jaimie Bombard has been unable to help me. I hired her about six months ago but nothing has been resolved and now I need to find someone else to take over. The opposing tenant attorney we are dealing with seems to prey on innocent people and it seems that I need someone much more aggressive to beat him back. Jaimie failed to do what she said she would do and now $2200 later and after eight months of extreme stress, the situation is completely unresolved and I have to hire someone else. I would not recommend this law firm. Jeff Woo eagerly took my case and passed it to a junior associate. They dragged the case out for almost a year!! He did not follow through or take action unless prompted by opposing counsel. We were always waiting and then...... we were always on the defense. He was not careful in contracts with dates and monetary sums. You have to double check the work before he sends contracts or leases out on your behalf. It was the most stressful time of my life and it was so much more working with this firm. read more

I typically refrain from writing bad reviews, but working with Jeff Woo (or, more precisely, trying to get him to work) was incredibly frustrating, to say the least. At first, he was very eager to take on our HOA case. He spent time (and charged us thousands of dollars) on sifting through emails and creating a useless "timeline". As he communicated with opposing counsel, it became clear that Jeff was neither prepared (his correspondence contained numerous spelling and syntax errors) nor had the time to follow through. He was frequently "out of town" or "unavailable", causing numerous delays. He did not represent our HOA well (essentially rolling over when pushed by opposing counsel) nor did he provide sufficient updates on the case. We literally had to prompt him to take action over and over again. And to top it off - he charged us for every email that we had to write just to remind him to update us...really??? When we called him out on fees for calls he claimed he had with us or emails he claimed he perused, he dropped us. Extremely disappointing and infuriating! read more

Can I give more stars??? My brothers and I retained the litigation services of attorney William H. G. Norman at Cooper, White, and Cooper in late 2011 to prosecute an extremely complicated, emotional, and hotly contested lawsuit for breach of fiduciary duty, elder abuse and conversion of many tens of millions of dollars by the third wife of our deceased father. For four years prior, predecessor counsel to Mr. Norman had done little, failed to keep us informed, and had billed excessively. After we changed to Mr. Norman, we found that he was a breath of fresh air. He took immediate command, developed solid elder abuse evidence, positioned the case for a jury trial, and in the process forced a multimillion dollar settlement in our favor.He kept us closely advised, was tough when he needed to be unyielding, flexible when he needed to listen, and was imaginative when it came time to explore various new approaches. He was always fair and open in his billings. His skills as a lawyer were far superior to the opposition, and as important as anything, he kept the peace within our client group when potential divisions threatened. Mr. Norman remained professional and focused, finally succeeding n getting us closure. During this period, he had to overcome numerous changes in opposing coulee, the probate Trustee, and parade of different judges hearing the matter. All the while he maintained a calm and reason-based demeanor and strategy. He helped us sign and return pleadings and agreements in a timely fashion that we kept on schedule. Since there were four of us being represented by Mr. Norman, he listened carefully to each individual client's concerns but never took sides if opinions differed.If any conflicts or frayed nerves erupted due o a difficult juncture in the proceedings, he smoothed this over and made sure we moved forward with consensus and a full understanding of the matters at hand. Mr. Norman worked tirelessly in discovery, depositions, and behind the scenes amongst other counsel.He also represented us in mediation, which took several rounds to reach a final agreement that was carried out by the various parties. He never wavered, and did not engage in shenanigans to stall proceedings for ridiculous reasons, nor did he charge unnecessary fees as the other lawyers did. I only wish that we had hired Mr. Norman at the beginning of our case, but as the saying goes" better late than never". I unequivocally recommend William H.G. Norman as lead litigator on any civil case.He is most certainly Top Gun!!! read more

DO NOT HIRE THESE ATTORNEYS! at least not Stan. They will not go to trial because of laziness. We had a case that is in our favor and they basically told us we had no chance and we should settle. We thought he knew what he was doing until the setllement offer he wanted us to agree to was beyond what we should be paying. He tells us it is best since going to trial can cost more than that. I did not believe this, so I called multiple lawyers and they told me no it would not cost that much to go to trial. Guess what... WE WON! they owe US money and not the other way around. These attorneys did not know what they were doing and the worst part, they took a huge chunk of money from us! They dragged a unlawful detainer case from april to end of july TRYING to SETTLE! that is outrageous. Hired new attorney and she went to trial and won this case in 6 weeks.... read more

On the recommendation of one of my LLP partners we retained the services of this law firm and were assigned to William Norman. He evaluated our case and agreed to represent us. As we got further into the case we realized how much it would have cost to go the full distance to a jury trial. We agreed to a settlement conference with a court appointed mediator and were led to believe there was not too much more work to be done once the mediation date was set. Norman appeared to be sensitive to our concerns about the mounting legal charges. His interim charges seemed appropriate. We were both stunned and shocked when Norman's last invoice was nearly $12,393.02 (representing 27-28 hours of work). We both wrote letters of protest as his total fees exceeded the amount of the settlement and his hours hard to believe. He subsequently sent me a two page self serving letter justifying his charges. Lawyers are notorious in their billing and William Norman is no exception. He charged at least 5 hours at $450.00 per hour to prepare a demand statement that he claims was "hard hitting" yet yielded in the final settlement a mere 5% of what was demanded. His other charges appeared inflated as well. His response to my suggestion that he take the full settlement amount as his full compensation (leaving us with no gain or loss) he felt to be "inappropriate or even unethical". Please! What's unethical about taking the entire settlement as payment? He ended his letter with "I appreciated getting to know you" and "I enjoyed meeting you both as individuals"(what I generally call "sucking up") and offered to lower his final charge by a modest $900.00. In an interesting twist of events, the settlement amount went to him directly (despite out demands to the contrary) and once he had the settlement money he extracted his "pound of flesh" and sent us checks for the remainder. At the end of the day we walked away wishing we had never gotten involved with this law firm. As an added note we hired, on Norman's recommendation a "forensic accountant" named "EV" who charged us 7 hours at $450.00 per hour to review a few profit and loss statements and a deposition (which most people could have done in 2 hours or less). When we finally met him we were shocked to see this kindly, slow moving elderly man who looked like he had stepped out of a Norman Rockwell painting. His report was virtually worthless and did nothing for our case. His charges for it were "over the top" and made Norman's charges appear modest. When dispute over a trust that involved me boiled over beyond the reach of our transactional attorney, he recommended Bill Norman as a litigator who could bring good results in complex cases. Although the case took over three years and absurd amounts in legal expenses to resolve, Bill indeed pounded an acceptable settlement out of our adversary who only wanted more fighting. Our case was very complex, involving as many as six competing attorneys at one time. Throughout the litigation, Bill kept a very clear focus on what would bring a settlement versus what was others' legal maneuvering intended primarily to drive up their billable hours. Bill was particularly skilled and helpful in explaining the difference between being "right," which clients cling to without regard to expense, and getting an acceptable conclusion at a tolerable cost. Bill is hardly soft, but he is both thoughtful about avoiding what will freeze up a dialogue with the other side and always working toward settlement as opposed to endless billable hours. Cost: lawyers are very expensive, whether they are of particular value or not in solving your case (much like fine dining, the price is high whether the dinner is memorable or merely mediocre). Bill is expensive in terms of dollars paid out each month, yes, but his value is also very high. His fees rarely include much billing beyond his own time, which is unusual for a highly-experienced and senior litigator. You pay for Bill's work, not his partnership's minor league roster or fancy software program. Bill's client communication skills are good, and he was very responsive any time I reached out to him. He is patient enough to keep explaining what he believes will be the most efficient litigation procedures, even when you are flailing out in frustration with the manipulations that attorneys pull on each other. Bill Norman is a starting major leaguer. You may not need that much fire power. But if you do, I would highly recommend him and without any reservations. read more
