Finally catching up on writing Yelp reviews, and this one is long overdue. Silveira Law has successfully represented me a total of 4 times in the last year and a half. All moving violations throughout Alameda County. All dismissed either due to officer not present or because Atty. Silveira is a master at what he does. On one particular case, I sat in the courtroom and watched Mike fight on my behalf remotely on Zoom. The officer had a grudge against me and showed up to court nearly 2 years after he issued the citation (atypical). Mike's cross-examination techniques are so effective--within minutes, my case was dismissed and the officer literally stormed out of the court room in anger and glared at me on his way out. If I wasn't required to wear a face mask in the court room, I would have been picking up my jaw from the floor. I've sat through nearly all of my court cases and watched how other lawyers represent their clients. Mike actually FIGHTS on your behalf, most people hire an attorney who PLEADS OUT and never gets to a stage where the officer is cross-examined. Respect law enforcement, but also hold them accountable. Never put yourself in the court room without proper representation. Top-notch, reasonably priced, and great communication! After getting a traffic citation in early 2021, I found these guys on Yelp among the hundreds of lawyers in the area, and I'm so glad I did. From the get-go, they were responsive and professional. Intake consisted of paying ~$300 via credit card and emailing them a picture of the citation. They told me they'd reach out if they needed more info, and they never had to. Let's say that, hypothetically, I 100% did commit the violation with which I was charged and the cop definitely saw it clear as day. If that were the case, then I would (hypothetically, of course) be super impressed with the lawyer's ability to maneuver in court despite the preponderance of the evidence against me. Though the case was continued for almost a year straight due to COVID, I just found out that my case was dismissed in court, and I didn't even have to show up once! If you're going to fight your traffic ticket and your time is worth anything to you, I highly recommend these people. Not only do they have a way better chance than you or me at winning in court, but using them is, at a bare minimum, essentially paying someone to stand in line for you for the court appearances that you'd otherwise have to attend. Courtrooms are where hopes and dreams go to die. No one wants to spend one minute, let alone an entire day, there. I called the court for an extension and not realizing I had passed the allotted time. In a pinch I called all around and Mike picked up his phone! Case. Dismissed. One time, I tried to fight my own ticket, because the police officer was a real jerk off wanker, and I was in the right. Showed up to court, and I lost the case, because I don't know any of the ins'n'outs of court. Anyway, there was a guy who went before me, and me, he tore that officer a new one! I was so surprised that this guy totally man-handled this police officer, but I couldn't understand why. It wasn't until quite awhile later that I realized it was a lawyer and he really knew his stuff! Ive used Silveira Law before and the experience was great. No issues, he took care of everything. So I called on Monday Feb. 5th because I need a lawyer for the same issue. The rep. took all my info and said someone would call me back. He never mentioned you were not taking new clients with traffic tickets. I called back on Wednesday 2/7 to follow up and gave all my information again. This time the rep told me they were not taking any new clients for traffic tickets. I ask to speak to someone else because she sounded like she was very unsure. She put me on hold to speak to her manager and came back on the phone and apologize to me and said they are not taking new clients. So Im not reallt sure what the truth is. She was very unsure. Mike really is the best DUI Lawyer in the Bay Area and is absolutely amazing at what he does. On top of all that, him and his staff like, Kris, are always so responsive and extremely nice! He got my DUI with a 0.12 BAC reduced down to a Wet Wreckless charge instead with ZERO jail time.
