We ended up staying almost two months. The spot we had was right across the road from a nice park so the kids were able to play a lot. It had a pool and Rec area but it was all closed when we were there. It was March to May time. The store and little restaurant were closed as well. They were all getting ready to open around the time we had to leave the park. Which is a bummer because I really would have like to see what they had to offer. The owner of the park was so nice and accommodating. I actually. miss this park and can't wait to be back in that area. The only negative I have of the park is that the road was full of bumps and pot holes.

Detour is 6 miles in a roundabout way through sheep pastures, cow pastures, horse stables, random deer in fields, tandem horses / buggy driving on an unimproved road, lots of horse and cow "muffins", and a huge fallen branch of a tree that obstructed half the road. Once at the KOA, we were pleased w bathrooms (the flush factor was fabulous), tent sites, other amenities. One of the better KOAs on this trip.

Her boss in the office seemed in a less than helpful frame of mind I was unable to use an over priced bundle of wood $12 due to severe weather wind and rain. As a koa VIP member I expected "yes" As that is the way I have been treated at koa across the country. I was surprised that a request to return the unopened plastic bagged wood bundle was refused. The answer surprised me even more. "Too much bother" I'll find another koa next time too much bother to come to this one where being a VIP member means nothing

This campground is the type of place I always wanted to visit as a kid. It is huge with so many…read moreactivities that you could literally spend your entire vacation here and never leave the grounds. I recently visited with my partner and our two kids. Let's just say, we aren't totally the dedicated campers where we need to pitch tents, bring all the accessories and sleep on the ground. That's why this place especially stood out as they had luxury cabins for rent. Or as my partner said, I'm good as long as I have air conditioning and running water! The cabin came with a screened-in porch, an outdoor fire pit for evening s'mores, a loft where the kids slept, a full living room and kitchen with refrigerator another room with bunkbeds, a bathroom and then the master bedroom at the back of the cabin complete with dressers to put away your clothes. I'm one of those people that always unpacks and must have things organized, so it was a lifesaver. You can rent golf carts, highly recommended as the grounds are spacious and some of the cabins are located far away from the activities. There are also communal laundry facilities, which were great to have since we had to use them day 1 of our trip! The common area offers free activities like playgrounds, mini golf, character meet n' greets and wagon rides along with firetruck rides. Other activities cost extra like ceramic making, tie die shirt making, glitter tattoos and several others. Some nights they offer free movie screenings and other programs. Overall, this was like camping without the pain! That's my kind of camping. Cabin rentals are a little pricey, but with all that space, it could accommodate a large family or even combine it with others to help split the cost. Finally, the biggest hit was the water park. This is a can't miss. We got a poolside cabana and spent most of our days here. The kids didn't want to leave!

We got a tent site off the main circle a little, which I preferred, as it feels more like camping when you're in the woods by a creek. Each site has a picnic bench and a fire pit. You can purchase wood or collect some in the woods. The seasonals were also a welcoming bunch. There is plenty to do socially, or you can string up a hammock and relax by yourself. It's a very chill time and if they have any sites left I think I'm going back this weekend.
