I arrived late on a Sunday afternoon which was nice because most of the weekenders had left. The campground has a nice mix of seasonal sites and transient. I'd say it's about 50/50 in terms of very shaded campsites and somewhat shaded, which is nice in the summer months to help keep your RV cool. I was there for a week and their staff was always around during work within the campground, and for the most part it was clean and what little I used of the bathrooms, I found them to be clean as well. The main issue I had with the campground was the septic smell - at times it was really bad. I only noticed it in the back of the campground where they appear to be doing work so I'm not sure if it's a temporary problem or it's always that bad? A couple of days the weather was very nice, I opened my windows and every now and then you'd get a waft of the smell and a few times it nearly brought me to my knees. I had stayed in site #52 and felt the map was a bit misleading...it was a long campsite, but it was extremely narrow and when sitting outdoors I felt like I was sitting next to the road...actually, I WAS sitting next to the road, which was annoying at times. Thankfully, it hadn't been too busy during the week so there weren't many cars that were passing by on a regular basis. One thing that may have caused me to camp elsewhere was their lack of cable TV even though they advertise having it on their KOA website. I know, I know, I'm camping and why do I need it, but I camp alone and there are times when I'd like to watch TV or catch up on the news. Thankfully, I was able to pick up approximately 20 OTA channels from Youngstown, OH. My point is, don't advertise that you have it, and when I go into the office to advise the cable isn't working at my campsite and have the teenager behind the counter laugh and tell me it hasn't been operational for a while...not cool. Not a major issue, but something that may have affected my decision making. It's worth noting this campground isn't far from Route 80 and I noticed many people stopped in for the night and were on their way the next morning. If you're planning on checking out the area, Pittsburgh is about 1:00-1:15 minutes south, easy peasy.

A real fine campground, which was neat, clean, quiet and well maintained. We were escorted to our back in RV site by Ellen, the friendly store manager. We had a nice level site (. # 69) with water, electric and sewer and cable hookup. There was a swing, a fire ring/ grill, a wood deck and a table with 4 chairs and an umbrella. WiFi was a bit pokey, but not too bad. Very nice set up. They pick up your trash every so often, which is a great perk. The pool was small, but very sweet, as was the playground, bocce courts and dog play area. Showers and bathrooms were spotlessly clean and I feel this was one of the best campgrounds that we have stayed in.

It is huge with so many…read moreactivities that you could literally spend your entire vacation here and never leave the grounds. I recently visited with my partner and our two kids. Let's just say, we aren't totally the dedicated campers where we need to pitch tents, bring all the accessories and sleep on the ground. That's why this place especially stood out as they had luxury cabins for rent. Or as my partner said, I'm good as long as I have air conditioning and running water! The cabin came with a screened-in porch, an outdoor fire pit for evening s'mores, a loft where the kids slept, a full living room and kitchen with refrigerator another room with bunkbeds, a bathroom and then the master bedroom at the back of the cabin complete with dressers to put away your clothes. I'm one of those people that always unpacks and must have things organized, so it was a lifesaver. You can rent golf carts, highly recommended as the grounds are spacious and some of the cabins are located far away from the activities. There are also communal laundry facilities, which were great to have since we had to use them day 1 of our trip! The common area offers free activities like playgrounds, mini golf, character meet n' greets and wagon rides along with firetruck rides. Other activities cost extra like ceramic making, tie die shirt making, glitter tattoos and several others. Some nights they offer free movie screenings and other programs. Overall, this was like camping without the pain! That's my kind of camping. Cabin rentals are a little pricey, but with all that space, it could accommodate a large family or even combine it with others to help split the cost. Finally, the biggest hit was the water park. This is a can't miss. We got a poolside cabana and spent most of our days here. The kids didn't want to leave!

It looks to be more for smaller kids rather than teens but nonetheless it's nice. All the staff were really nice. They took the kids for a ride on the fire truck which all thought that was cool. My complaint if you want to call it that is the price. It's a bit expensive. Camping is suppose to be a cheaper alternative to going to a hotel. Not the case here. Depending on what you get it could be just as much if not more than going to a hotel and I don't mean any hotel local to here. It's comparable (at least when we stayed) to hotels in Myrtle Beach. I won't say I would never go back but it would not be my first pick however if you want to stay local to this area and when I say this area I mean within an hour or two, this is not bad.

First off, this is not a "family friendly" campground. There is nothing to keep children occupied…read morehere, so if you have children, bring stuff to keep them busy. The campground is on a literal mountain top, so it is surrounded by cliffs- great for a view but not suitable for adventurous children or animals. Driving in off the highway was complicated and you will hit many serpentine curves on steep hills. Of course that's nothing the campground can be faulted for, I'm just warning you in advance. They provide directions on the website to avoid low-hanging bridges etc. it's at least 16min from the nearest restaurant or grocery store so plan accordingly. Otherwise the space was a clean plot of land, which the owner clearly puts in effort to keep nice. There is nothing store except an honor system for ice and fire wood. Bring cash. If you have a pull through site, expect no shade/trees. The only sites with shade are around the edge. I had no experience with their toilet/shower situation but I hear you have to pay for it, which, after camping for 30+ years, I have never heard of. Overall, it's a nice plot of land but it was a distance from any civilization and it was not made for children to enjoy.
