This is still and will always be my favorite stadium. There not a bad seat in the house, games are inexpensive enough that you can go more than once a year and its easy access to the stadium. Coors Field - Box seats. Like it - Stadiums & Arenas Near Me - Denver, Colorado

So one of my many goals is to visit every single Major League baseball stadium and watch a game. (My other goals include learning classical Chinese calligraphy, become the world's first sign language only ventriloquist and learning how to make Beef Wellington but I digress). So we visited the park on Memorial Day weekend to see the Rockies play the St. Louis Cardinals. Our itinerary included visiting the park (Coors Field), eating a hot dog there and watching the game. Getting to the Park: This was easy from Downtown. You just take this bus down their main street (16th Street is like any other pedestrian mall in America complete with a Cheesecake factory, a homeless guy in a soiled clown suit making balloon animals, and a store that sells nothing but magnets...you get the picture) and at the end of the line you get off and walk three blocks to Coors Field (pronounced "Currs" if you're a local or from the midwest) I had bought the tickets earlier from the Rockies website which was helpful. And unlike the Doyers who could care less if you get stabbed or punched at their ballpark, the Rockies actually emailed me before AND after the game to give me tips to enjoy my experience and to see how I enjoyed the game. Our seats were $37 each and in right field. We had a great view of the whole park and felt we paid a fair price. There didn't seem to be a bad view in the entire place. Like most stadiums, they've added a gimmick section. For Coors, it's called the Rockpile and it's in the Outfield and people get drunk and act like "hard core fans" as much as anyone can in Denver. The Food: There seems to be a the usual fare of ballpark food at this location with the added food items of Rockie Mountain Oysters (deep fried bull balls) and some barbecue - which for some reason Coloradans think they own. But we stuck to the staples - hot dogs and nachos. Both were good. But then again, anything is better than a Dodger dog. The hot dog was grilled and all beef. I had it with mustard and ketchup but my brother smothered it with sauerkraut which was being pushed on him like a timeshare vacation home at an AARP convention. We all enjoyed our dogs and we agreed the Monster Nachos (beans, cheese, chicken, jalapenos, two kinds of salsa) was the clear winner. Everyone else seemed to be eating funnel cake but I didn't try it. Nor did I try their peanuts or ice cream. The Ambiance: Rockies fans are mellow. I don't know if its the altitude, the proliferation of medicinal marijuana throughout the state, or the laid back Colorado attitude but people seemed to just not be very excited about the game. I compare this to other parks I've visited like Dodger Stadium and Fenway Park in Boston where people will curse at a 9 year old for dropping a foul ball or standing up in their seat during a pitcher's windup. The folks around us were middle aged, easy going, decked out in Rockies gear and mellow. The game was very close the whole time and only twice did I feel the home crowd get into the game. One of the times was for Jason Giambi (former Yankee steroid (L)user) when he stepped up to pinch hit. To my utter joy he screwed up and failed to drive a run home or even get a hit. Overall, the experience was enjoyable. Going to games in LA, I'd forgotten what it was like to walk to a ballpark without fear of getting the living crap beaten out of you. I'll definitely come back to watch a game again - especially since we forgot to have the many different beers they offer at the stadium. Cool stadium. Good atmosphere. I'm a big baseball fan, been to all the Southern California stadiums, been to spring training in AZ, been here. As far as the stadium goes it's just as good as the others I've been to but.. And this is a big but.. The service here is awful. I'm actually writing this review at the stadium before the Dodgers v Rockies game because it's that bad. The ticket lady at the gate; very rude. The lady checking tickets at section 126 - 127; very rude. It's awful. This is my third time here (and I've lived in Denver for 1 month) and every other time has been mediocre and this time is god awful. Trying to accuse me of sneaking things in (red bull) even tho I asked if they are allowed in and then asked I could just drink them outside the gate. Accused of trying to sit in a section I'm not in.. But my ticket clearly says 127. I'm still coming back here cause I'm not going to let rude people ruin my baseball but still.. Jeezus Christ.. Rockies suck. But didn't expect anything else. $50 seats were ok. Some old guy behind us crapped his pants around 2nd inning so we had that smell for 3 innings. Finally left. I bought a Coke in one of the "souvenir" cups from the "grill" behind section 113. $4.50. I thought that it was weird how high the ice was riding above the rim. Luckily I had a controversial plastic straw. Something was in the bottom of my cup, under all of that ice. A large plastic bag. They did replace my Coke. Everything being said is based off the outside of the stadium and cleanliness. The stadium is closed :( however it's still a beautiful monument to baseball and clean all around. There are metered parking all around and a cool little downtown area next to the stadium. It's a clean area for a larger city. read more

Cool stadium. Of course, drinks are way over priced. I think everyone that works for the stadium is a retired old lady, and I hope they are compensated enough. Went during a freezing rain out game and they were out in the rain checking tickets/running elevators etc. All were nice, no complaints, but I did feel bad for them. This place really has updated over the last few years to be much less of a cookie cutter ballpark and be something of its own. You can get more "local" food like a Elk Brat, and Rockie Mountian Oysters. It is a struggle to find beer other than Coors here though. (I know it's the name of the stadium, but still.) You cannot and will not get a better deal on seats than the rockpile. It's $5 a ticket and you get to see a Major League game. Their rooftop bar is awesome and the seats above the bull pen are awesome, especially when the pitchers respond to heckeling. I do recommend coming a little early to the stadium, I've always had the best luck getting autographs and interactions after warmups. I'm really glad that after twenty years the stadium feels a lot less like every other stadium built in the 90's but something of its own. read more

Coors Field is a beautiful ball park- we absolutely loved our visit to see the Rockies take on the Yankees (and win). The park itself is easily accessible, there is affordable parking all over the place nearby through garages, the food was delicious, the staff friendly. We got to enjoy a couple drop in entry from the Air Force, and got to see a young man announce the line up for one of the innings (what an amazing experience for him). I would definitely come here to see games if this was my home team- good seats were affordable, the location is amazing, and the seats are comfortable. Great stadium! read more

Granted I haven't been to any other ballparks, I still find it hard to believe that you can beat Coors Field and its beautiful view of the mountains as you watch the Rockies. I've been to many games throughout the past few seasons and have never had a bad time here. Great seats anywhere in the park. Also, it's nice to be able to go to a professional sporting event for $4. I generally hit up the Sandlot for drinks, which is always packed but always fun. Great service, great staff. I love Coors Field! read more

It's as good as it gets when it comes to a giant new fancy stadium. I don't really see what it has over, say, the stadium in Atlanta though. New stadiums are new stadiums. There are tons of bathrooms scattered all around the field which is very important. Not just for not having to wait in a giant line, but also to get you back to yoru seat quicker!! I wish there were more beer stands that offered something other than Coors or Coors Light, but hey...it IS Coors field :). Hot dogs are yummy ball park hot dogs and they also have several other food vendors there to choose from. Love going to games here! read more

Coors Field is a beautiful, clean, and comfortable ball park. There is good food everywhere, not a bad seat in the house, and I have never seen it anything but sparkling clean. I enjoy the club level, especially on those really hot days when you need to jump inside some air conditioning for a few minutes. The seats are comfortable as well, and the bathrooms are clean. You can also bring in your own water bottles, which is nice for a ball park. read more

I recently discovered their gluten free concession and enjoyed a hot dog from there. Each roll is in their own wrapper and is opened with your order. They also serve burgers, chicken and beer! We've come here for years for games and this is an amazing stadium. What makes it even better though is going on the tour that they offer. It's best to choose non-game days as then you get a full tour of everywhere. And I mean everywhere. Tours are $9 (plus service fees etc) and we got to see every level from the 300s to the locker rooms. We also got to go out on the warning track of the field itself to take pictures and see what things are like from a player's point of view. Amaaazing! The stadium also offers slightly hidden bar/restaurant options like the Mountain Ranch Club and the SandLot. Any ticket will get you access to the Mountain Ranch Club (with reservation) and it offers an amazing view of the field. read more

Yay! I'm a fan. A fan of baseball. I get to a new stadium each year until I have them all visited. This was an unplanned trip to the ballpark but was certainly a good one. We walked up and got 4 tickets just before first pitch, helpful ticket agent to boot. The field and facility is immaculate and well kept. The vendors are plentiful and quick. So are the restrooms. l I will be back to visit Coors Field again. Just be glad you don't have to drink Coors. read more

Coors Field - A Haiku Peanuts, Cracker Jacks, Take me out to the ball game, Here we go Rockies! Ah, Baseball, how I love thee. The grass, the dirt, the chalk. The crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd. It's America's past time! There aren't a whole lot of places better to see a game than Coors Field. Its one of the best stadiums in the league. 5 stars is reserved for the iconic (Fenway, Wrigley, etc) or the breathtaking (Pac Bel). But Coors is close. This is a great place to see a game. There isn't a bad seat in the house. The food is good, the beer is cold. Sometimes the team is good . . . My favorite part of Coors Field is the left field pavilion. If you have the legs for it, buy the cheapest ticket you can find and than make your way to the outfield. Its a great view as you stand in the sun and enjoy a cold beer. I think they play some type sportsball here. Maybe foozeball, I dunno. What I do know is they brew blue moon here. Sure it's a coor's brand, but forgiving that it's nice to drink a small batch that's only brewed for sale at the stadium. The Sandlot is a great place to enjoy a game, without ever seeing the game be played. Yay Beer! So yeah it's a ballpark, with a micro-brew. Take me out to the ball game! It's a good park. The seats are alright and the field is lovely but the food/drinks are a over priced. It is a sporting arena so we must expect this right? I mean I know I do. I love some of the people who work at the park year after year. There is one man who has a lovely voice (I bet he sings!) and he walks up and down the rows calling to you to buy something, I always want to buy stuff from him. I wish they sold more gear for other teams though, I mean I know most of the people in this town are fans of the Rockies but at least a rack of stuff (or two) for the team who's playing against them...just out of good sportsmanship. read more

As far as major league baseball stadiums are concerned (and I have been to a few) this place is great. Unlike some where you are blocked off to mainly the sections where your tickets are - you are able to walk through most of the stadium. I like the fact that they have a children's area where they can play and also a concession stand with smaller portions (and prices) for little ones - this is great if you have a family. Also I like the picnic area where you can congregate and not just be confined to your seats. Prices are about what you would pay at any other ball park - pricey! Although I was just at Angels Stadium in Anaheim where you would expect the prices to be higher (hey its California) and the prices were actually cheaper there. Overall a place that Denver can be proud of! read more

What a nice ballpark. I came here to see my Mets play the Rockies and had an excellent time. We got there as the gates opened and were able to go down to the field to watch some batting practice. It is a newer park so it's all open air so you can see the field while walking around. The landscape area out in right center is a nice touch. It consisted of some typical scenery of the area with some waterfalls. The staff, security guards and vendors were all very friendly. After the game we spent some time talking to the security guard about the stadium. He seemed genuinely happy to talk to us and offered to take some pictures for us. Overall I had a great time here. It sure didn't hurt that my Mets beat up on the Rockies 14-9. read more

Nice baseball stadium. It is just like most other stadiums (round, sells beer, grass in the middle). I think the stand out for this park is the amazing view of the Rocky Mountains. One cool thing that someone was telling me is they have a bar area with general admission style tickets which sounds cool. I could see where this area was from our seats and it looked like it would be a cool place to go. Parking wasn't bad, we found a lot that was a little off the beaten path but still within a few blocks walk. It cost between $10 and $20 (I can't remember) but it was a small lot and located with an exit right onto the street that lead to the highway. We were able to just hop in the car and drive off with no waiting which was awesome. There are a lot of restaurants in the immediate area. We ate a brew house before the game and while we were walking to the car there looked to be some pretty fun nightlife happening. It would definitely be cool to go out after a game in that area. read more

Not bad, but crowd control at the entry points could be managed better with the entrance gates marked better as to which are the search lines and which are the express for those not bringing coolers. Ramps to the upper levels could be better marked. Vendors in the stands and staff on the grounds were friendly. Traffic control at 22nd/Blake left something to be desired. On opening day you need to get the police to actively manage traffic and not just sit back and watch the too-short ped signals do the work for them. The park itself is beautiful and opening day 2010 went off without a hitch. Reasonable, by ballpark standards, prices for food. Beers were plenty cold, hot dogs were average but not too bad. Special, no alcohol section for families is a nice touch. Overall, a successful first visit on Opening Day 2010. read more

Was here on Thursday for a game with my company in a box seat, and then got to go again last night with my husband's company tickets... 5th row right off 3rd base.... seriously awesome! I do have to say I still prefer Angels Stadium, Petco Park and National Stadium over Coors Field, but it's still clean with lots of food and drinks and baseball of course!!!!! I found the amount of pushy carnival-like vending on the way through the streets of downtown Denver to the field annoying-water, t-shirts, hats, blinky crap, mardi gras beads, etc. shoved in your face. At the entrance I couldn't tell which were sponsored vendors. We got tickets in LF hoping for a beautiful CO day and a chance for a fly ball, but it was 98 degrees that day so almost too hot to enjoy the game. The staff had spray bottles for cooling down fans and they even offered up 50SPF sunscreen. That's very nice of them and show they care about the welfare of their fans. Rockies lost to the Brewers that day. But I'll take a bad day of baseball to any day without it. And I will be back to Coors Field for another outing another time. read more

I've been to 10 MLB Ball Parks and Coors field places in the top half for sure. Of the "New Era Ballparks" Coors Field still holds up and the location could not be better.
