I'm a born and bred Boston girl. I'm used to filthy, disgusting, cramped, fire-hazard filled Fenway Park. I had a great time at this stadium. I liked the layout. We actually (unknowingly) ended up sitting in the "mile high" seats to watch the Sox take on the Rockies. (Sorry that Pedroia kicked your asses.) The seats were actually pretty roomy, and the stadium was so clean! The beer and food were normally priced for a stadium. Parking was ample. No complaints here! read more

I have been to a lot of ball parks and this one has by first the worst concessions I have ever experienced. Waited in line for over 30 minutes just to get a hot dog. All of the different concessions areas were the same. Don't come here hungry! read more

My brother and a friend came down from Wyoming this weekend to move some of their stuff and we wanted to catch the home opener to the 2010 season. I spent the earlier part of the week looking for tickets on craigslist and a few other websites but the prices just kept going up and it was hard to find three seats together. So after no luck all week we just figured we would try and pick some up outside the stadium, which of course didn't work. Luckily for us they were selling seats at the ticket window, I guess they were player releases, so we ended up getting really good seats right behind the Rockies dugout for about half what all the scalpers were trying to get! If i'm ever in need of tickets the day of I think i'll just hit the ticket window again and see what I can get. So on to the game! We got in and got our seats about the 2nd inning, I was starving to death so i grabbed a cheeseburger, fries and a couple beers. The burger was $6, not to bad for stadium pricing, the beers were actually more than the burger. The burger was not that great, but I wasn't expecting much and I think I swallowed it in one bite and chased it down with the wonderful, refreshing, ice cold rocky mountain coors light! Coors field is a great ballpark. Part of being in Denver is wanting to be outside and if you get the right seats it's fun to watch the thunderstorms come across the mountains in the afternoons. Our seats were front and center for this game but honestly I don't think I would ge them again. If I could pick my perfect seat it would be 2nd level along the first base line maybe a little in to right field. Great view of the mountains, great view of the game. The atmosphere of the stadium was great, maybe not as loud as I thought it would be for opening day but definately a lot of fun. I suppose it helps when the Rockies win 7-0! The only thing I might say that let me down is there was no wave, I would have thought that opening day we could have got one going. Oh well...there is always the next game! read more

Ehhhh. Honestly, I wasn't that impressed with Coors Field. I really wanted to be, but it just didn't compare to some of the other stadiums I've been to (Camden Yards, Pittsburgh, Philly, and now Citi Field). First things first -- the souvenir shop was a joke. It's owned by Aramark and they sell souvenirs for other teams besides the Rockies, which is just dumb. No, I don't want to buy a Yankees hat when I'm in Colorado, thank you (or when I'm in NY for that matter). The selection of Rockies stuff was not great and the prices (even by ballpark standards) were insane. If you want the same stuff for less money, march yourself straight to the Rockies Store in downtown Denver for decent prices and friendly service. Second off, the food we got wasn't so good. Third off, the bathrooms left something to be desired. Fourth off, mascot presence could seriously be bumped up. I did like the stadium itself from the outside, along with the little street of restaurants right outside. The location was convenient too and parking was only $10, which wasn't bad. Tickets were very cheap as well. read more

I was lucky enough to go to opening day for both the Rox and the Sux last year. So coincidence they both go to the WS? I think not. I grew up going to the Rockies at the old Mile High where it looked like i could hit a HR. This is one of the nicest parks i have been too (nicest of the newer parks, of course i would never compare Coors to the Friendly confines) and i have managed to visit a few. You can catch the action while you wait for a beer on the first deck and they have some really good food here. The location is great too. There is nothing better than catching a Friday game and then spilling into LoDo for some drinks and food. Above the Dove (or whatever they are calling it now) has great drink specials before the game and one of the best decks in Denver. read more

Went here on a Thursday night for a Giants v. Rockies game, great game -- especially since Lincecum was pitching and the Giants won! We parked in Lot B, which means you have to cross over the bridge to get the stadium. Not a bad walk, but you have a lot of things with you, you might want Lot A. The stadium is nice with plenty of good restaurants and museums nearby. There's also a fair variety of food and games inside the stadium (arcades, batting cages, pitching cages, etc). I had the Rockie Dog and a good helping of Coors, which I figure is a must if it's your first time in Coors field. It was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. The Berry Kabob is really good though, fun to watch them make, $6 each. Only thing I wasn't prepared for was the weather. If you're from of out town like I was -- check the weather, you may need a blanket/umbrella. read more

I am Giants fan from the San Francisco Bay Area and have had the pleasure of visiting the home of the Rockies. Coors Field is truly a beautiful ballpark. From the brick exterior to the fountains and forestry in center field, it is a wonderful sight. Unfortunately, I had a less than adequate experience in my visit. I have never encountered such rudeness at any sporting event I have ever been to. From the ushers to the vendors to Rockies fans, I was treated with hostility and a complete lack of respect. I made a quite an effort to spend money at the Rockies team store. I was looking for anything Todd Helton related. I was repeatedly ignored and disregarded by all of the staff. Maybe I shouldn't have been a wearing Giants Jersey? Oh wait, I did wear a Giants Jersey at DODGER STADIUM and I was treated with more respect. One of the iconic features of Coors is the ring of purple seats at one mile above sea level. Ever since I was a little kid, I have wanted to see these seats up close. To sit at exactly one mile above the ocean. Unfortunately, this is not where my seats were. When I attempted to go up to the section to take a picture, the usher told me I was not allowed up there. I told him why I was going up and he still refused. I plead with him for a moment and he responded "Well, ok. But hurry up!" Friendly confines indeed.... In contrast, when I entered the left field bleachers, decked out in Giants black and orange at DODGER STADIUM, I was greeted by an usher who said "I got your back, just don't do anything stupid." Rockies staff? Anyone? These are only a couple of examples of the treatment I received. Bottom line is, I felt more comfortable as a Giants fan at Dodger Stadium than I did at Coors Field. Maybe I just encountered the wrong people on the wrong days, but all the same, I do not think I will ever return to Denver for a baseball game. When does Hockey season start? read more

I love baseball. I love having it so close in my hood' as well! This is one of my favorite ballparks in the nation. It's everything I'd expect of a new ballpark. PLUS-You can buy burritos inside AND go to the bar and do shots. I also thought it was odd that they basically let you bring anything into the park-fast food, pop, etc. Pretty neato. If you sit in the Rockpile you'll get a good view of the Rocky Mountains. read more

It was very enjoyable coming here for a visit last week for a game between the Giants and the Rockies. The ballgame experience was very pleasant and so was the staff. I admit (with some bias) that, compared to my home team's AT&T Park, the food choices is not as great, but I admire the how they have several restaurant- and bar-like places that can be visited once inside, something that we don't have. The concessions and usher staff were all very pleasant and friendly as well. This is even though I was wearing a Giants jersey at the home. :) read more

Review for the Fireworks A friend let us use his downtown loft while he 4th'd in the mountains; the loft is behind the scoreboard of Coors field. I just knew it would have a superb view of Coors Field Fireworks. So with a cooler of beer, dinner to go, and friends, we set up camp at Big Bob's downtown loft. We watched the game on TV and listened to the crowd cheer the Rockies to victory over the Marlins. And then the stadium lights dimmed (OK, after a 30 minute setup) and we watched one of the best fireworks displays ever! The display started with a shower of purple sparkles and did not stop for at least 15 minutes. Most balconies in the area were filled with people oohing and awing over each new explosion and the sound effects, where we were sitting, were awesome.. I imagine they were the same in Coors Field. And of course the grand finale was exceptional with several types of rockets and screamers going off at the same time. It was a sensory overload of color bursts and explosive sounds and the smell of gunpowder in the evening air! Coors Field you made us burst with pleasure over your fireworks display. To be honest here, I used to really enjoy attending Rockies games as a kid. I still do, but now that I am legal and can drink, I've never seen drink prices so high at a venue. Even at concerts the drinks are cheaper. I will always come back to this venue, but if you're looking to drop money on drinks bring at least $200 with you. read more

Yea, don't ask for a Bud or Miller here. They will had you a Coors. It was a lil sprinky here, but everyone stayed to the end. Good fans in Denver. Skyline was awesome of the downtown area. I always heard about being a mile high would be hard to breathe, but maybe only if you are running around for hours, I couldn't tell the difference. The team isn't that great, which is kind of a downer, but fun to watch anyhow. read more

Who would've guessed this stunning baseball stadium was one of the oldest (true story) in all of Major League Baseball at this point? Kudos to the architects and engineers who helped construct this facility as it's open air design and stunning LoDo (lower-downtown) location make it a must-see for anyone who enjoys baseball! read more

This is a nice stadium. I would put it in my top 10. There is a row of purple seats on the top deck that indicates 1 mile high. Pretty cool to go up there and know you are that high up. The view around the stadium is nice and it being downtown it has a fun vibe. Down fall is that the food was not good. Nothing special here and the hotdog was cold. read more

Watch yourself coming into the main parking gate. I was confused (out of state) saw I needed to get into left lane. I put on my blinker and the person behind stopped so I could move over. I Pulled into the parking line to pay to get in and a police officer pulls me over. Says I turned from the wrong lane. Issues me a $135 dollar ticket! No warning at all? Home runs and line drives are plentiful here. When the gates of Coors Field open, Denver answers and the seats always fill. It's not because the Rockies are a championship team, it's because it is always fun to watch them in Coors Field. The sun always shines, the seats are always comfortable and the concessions are amazing. I have never found a bad seat to watch and enjoy the game. Coors field may be the third oldest ballpark in the National League, but it's very modern. They have recently refit the stadium with Cellphone transmitters allowing for very high bandwidth throughout the game, which is extremely nice for those of us that like to follow the game electronically. read more

Went to two games while in Denver and took a tour of the stadium. It was a very nice stadium. Having only seen it on tv for the past 15 years, I was surprised by what surrounded the stadium. Those trees and water in the bullpen area are deceiving! I got to sit in the mile high seats for a quick minute, that was exciting. Being late in the season and the Rockies being out of it, the games weren't crowded. I enjoyed the extra space. One thing I didn't like was that the staff was so anal about checking tickets. At this point of the season they should just be glad people are still coming to spend money. The tour was pretty neat. We got to go in the dugout and on the field, that's always a thrill. One thing they could update at this stadium is their video board. It's so tiny and not hd quality. Oh and there are spectacular sunsets to be seen of sitting up top in right field. read more

Lovely ballpark with views of downtown Denver and the Rocky Mountains in the distance... Spent a Sunday afternoon here while in town and had a great time. After visiting some other MLB parks this season, I appreciated some 'healthier' menu options, which I guess I should have expected from Denver :-) I could get frozen yogurt with fruit toppings in my souvenier Rockies hat, and the lemonade was *actually* fresh squeezed (a rarity in my experience). read more

We usually sit at at the end of the third base line a few times per year. baseball is not my favorite sport to watch but something about Coors field makes the event worth it. gotta love the micro brews inside the park and the food is pretty darn good read more

We enjoyed Coors Field but we did not enjoy the Mountain View Grill. My husband and I stopped in for a bite to eat and we ordered nachos as our appetizer. It came out and we started snacking on it. It tasted like soap and the shredded chicken was watery making the entire appetizer soupy. It was terrible. We had a hard time getting the attention of the staff as it was during the game and we were very disappointed. We promptly paid our bill and left. It was terrible. We were very disappointed and expected the restaurant to be the same quality as other ballpark finer restaurants. Sadly this was terrible. Do not eat here. read more

Just pay for the closest lot- save yourself a lot of time. Go eat at the Sandlot. Get the fresh cut prime rib sandwich. Ask the bar about whatever specialty beer is on tap. Ignore them if they are bad bartenders.... It happens every time, but the beer is usually fantastic. read more

The only reason I am not giving negative stars on this review is that it's completely dependent upon the structure and function of the app (it's not possible). My wife and I stood in line to get food from the end of the 3rd inning to the middle of the 5th. In Major League Baseball that could be upwards of 45 minutes. I assure you, it was. The workers were lazy, apathetic, rapacious. There was hardly any management to the system. A 4-year-old could've told you that. My wife was yelled at, which was incredibly infuriating. No one behind the counter cares about the benefits of efficiency, especially at an event which carries the burden of being America's past time. Time passed, enough for my wife to give up on getting the correct order, precisely because the workers couldn't, probably didn't, listen. After listening to an old grump behind the counter yell at an innocent young woman, we paid that outrageous tab and squeezed into our tight seats to munch on our cold food. Not only could the food department use some management presence, the security personnel could use a few day lessons in accuracy and respect. We were given the wrong directions to our seats and were dealt with like we were dogs that had just bitten a small child. There was one part that was enjoyable actually: leaving. read more

This is a beautiful stadium. Watching the Rockies in warm weather--not much better. Grab a beer and enjoy. There are no bad seats and the food is a step up from usual stadium fare. The lines to get in can be a little long and parking can be crazy, but once you sit, it's awesome. read more

Okay, don't hate me, but I'm a Brewers fan. And there's simply nothing like Wisconsin tailgating at Miller Park (or for that matter, Lambeau). Coors field doesn't accommodate this experience very well. I do enjoy scalping tickets here, though! A girlfriend and I typically will go to a local bar, watch the first three innings with brewskies in hand, and then see what kind of crazy seats we can get for 20 bucks. We have been behind home-plate multiple times. Nonetheless, there is a time and a place for the Rock-Pile. I don't know of any other field that sells tickets for $5.
