To get from the parking area to the store, you just take the elevator one level down, and then you're right inside. This place is surprisingly big, filled with all kinds of snacks, cookies, and coffee. The highlight for me was their shawarma breakfast wrap. It was top-notch and exactly what I needed. You choose between whole wheat or white pita, and it's filled with scrambled eggs, your choice of fresh or sautéed spinach, and they add potatoes as well. Then they top it with shawarma chicken, tomato, and a delicious sauce. For $8.5 it was worth every bite. Hands down, a five out of five. I also tried their coffee, which was just a standard brew sitting in ice for hours and nothing special. At $2.50, it was fine, but nothing to write home about. The real stars were the cookies. I got a coconut pecan cookie and an almond crunch cookie, and both were absolutely delicious. I didn't have time to explore the whole store, but there was a great selection of fresh produce, chocolates, and all sorts of small treats. What's cool about Blue Field is that it's not your typical farmer's market. It's held at night every Saturday from 6-10 PM rather than your usual morning/afternoon. And they offer a lot more than vendors: games including cornhole, an outdoor bar serving beer/wine with a couple TVs, food trucks, and live music. Creates a nice experience. The downside is that there aren't a lot of vendors. Out of the few that were there, only a few were offering food. No produce at all. It's a small farmer's market so I would've liked a greater selection.

This is a day where tons of community service projects happen all across Houston all on the same day. It was a very large turnout of church groups, students, companies, organizations, and those just wanting to give back. The event was fairly organized. One side was helping to pull up all the weeds in order to plant new foods. The other side was transporting lumbar to eventually be able to build a fence. It was really nice to give back. Im hoping marginalized groups are able to access these resources. I look forward to learning more and donating more of my time here.

The weekly farmers market provides fresh vegetables to the community on a donation basis (take what you need, pay what you can afford). The gardens are well planned, well executed, and a joy to work in.

I mean, who really wants to buy a bag a produce and haul that back to the office? But samosas? Or puposas? Or a plate of soul food? Cold brew coffee or fresh juices? Hell yeah. That's a fantastic lunch. And all in an outdoor setting. This market features 30+ international food vendors from all over the world. Jerk chicken. Brazilian churrascaria. Dumplings. Tacos. I'm adjusting my review to reflect Veronica's willingness to turn this experience into an opportunity. We were looking forward to trying this restaurant while staying at a hotel in Houston for medical treatments. We had it delivered to our hotel and sadly it wasn't the best experience. When we got our order to the room we were missing one side that we ordered. We got Mac n cheese, green beans and potato salad with a brisket/smoked chicken combo and a brisket/ribs. I was shocked to see two pieces of brisket and a chicken breast for $28. Maybe it was an off night but the quality just wasn't there. All the food was cold (our fault bc we ordered it for delivery) and was lacking flavor. Overall, we'd rate it like this: Brisket 3/5 Chicken 2/5 Mac n cheese 1.5/5 Green beans 3/5 Ribs 3/5 Potato salad 2/5 Maybe they were having a bad night but I wish our experience was better.
