Breakfast was very good. We had generous portions. And the price was very reasonable!

Tonight was my 4th visit. First 2 were during the 100 mile sale so I didn't judge based on this 2. The 3rd was for breakfast and it was not busy. Tonight was a prime rib night so it was busy but there seemed to be plenty of staff to manage service. All 4 times I've felt as though my family and I were a large inconvenience to the waitress, each time we have been billed incorrectly. It is not difficult to tell there are several regulars there, they are treated very differently. We will not be driving the distance again. read more

My wife and I have eaten here a few times and every time we have went, everything has been very good. We've had their meatloaf and we've had their fish and many more entrées. They make their own ranch dressing and it's excellent! They stay busy and they have breakfast, but we've not yet been for breakfast. It's definitely worth stopping to eat here, and I found out about it from locals. People here are friendly, the service, and the prices are fair. They also have excellent yeast rolls which come with dinners. There is a nice laid-back atmosphere and you almost feel like family when you're here. read more

Ok... so this is little gem is as legit as they come!!!! I only wish I had left room to try the pie! So the onion rings as a side.... the breading is the best EVER!! dip that in some ranch dressing and they are something you definately can't miss... try try try some! The kiddo go a pancake the size of his head and he could not finish it..... and he enjoyed it! The wife got the fried shrimp and said it was just ok. I got the prime rib and for being out in the middle of no where.. i would come back. I have had some better... But for this to be in the middle.. SIGN ME UP!!!! gotta say I used to love this place. They are chicken fried steak was big and very very good, but then Covid hit. We've gone there a couple of times since then, and we won't go back. snubbed their noses at the Covid guidelines for restaurants. They have something posted about Covid and seating but it's not in it. Common place for your eyes to go. so the first time we went back I noticed a something that didn't sit too well. I saw the waitress, clear off a table, and then refill drinks without washing their hands in between. on the second visit, the portion size of the chicken fried steak was less than half the size it used to be for the same price. The other thing was on the hygiene when I asked for a refill the lady was sweeping the floor she put the broom against the wall came over and did my drink right away. I had my husband wipe it down before I picked it up and we decided we weren't going back. They have a good size crowd of regulars that keeps them in business. It's out in Country along the highway. I guess I just don't get what all the fuss is about. I personally think the food is just ok. Not bad. But not one thing that just wows me.

I grew up in Copan. I went to school in Copan from K-12 -- Class of 92. I grew up at the Truck Stop. You can imagine my disappointment when I visited today with my family and was told "you can't bring your cup in here". I have a YETI with Pepsi One I take everywhere because no one carries that flavor. Diet Pepsi tastes weird and Pepsi has too much sugar. I thought the waitress was kidding. She told me "no outside food or drinks. There's a sign on the door". So the Truck Stop would rather lose $70 from my lunch party than allow me to bring my own drink that they don't even carry. I will never step foot back in the Truck Stop nor will any of my family. It's too bad that this is Mrs Chaney's legacy. read more

We love the Copan Restaurant. It is located next to attached truck stop. Food is always good & service is too. Big portions, you won't walk away hungry. Everything we've had has been excellent. We go especially Friday or Saturday night when they have prime rib with all the fixings for $21.99. And Tuesday when you can draw for $ off your bill, a piece of pie, etc It's always clean & will decorated. Very comfortable place to go! read more

Had hamburger steak dinner it was huge and came with choice of veggies and tators. Definitely homemade and cooked to order and did I mention huge? Shrooms and onions top it off with some texas toast. Recently made a special trip to come to this restaurant (45 minute drive one-way) because I had heard how good the food is. It took them a while to wait on us and they weren't that busy, there were only three other tables. The waitresses seemed much more interested in filling out the specials on the dry-erase board than waiting on the customers. When we finally got to order it took forever in the kitchen. People who came in after us got their food first. I ordered a hamburger steak and my husband the fried catfish. Mine had no flavor at all. I asked the waitress to come to our table when I finally got her attention. She didn't come back. The prices were high to me as well. Well they don't have to worry about ever having to "not" give me customer service again. read more

Well 1st visit was on a Friday Evening for the Prime Rib which was actually quite good. A couple weeks later we bring the kids on a Saturday for Lunch. The waitress asked us our kids age like it was a buffet then said "I don't know if they'll let them order from the adult menu". If I'm paying for it they can order whatever they want from any menu. Then it took 10 minutes to get our drinks out if not longer. I ordered the Hot Beef and it came out later than the rest, the beef was gray not brown and tasted like metal . 20 minutes later I got it replaced with burger and fries. Wasn't that busy but everybody acted like they were. Huge difference in quality and service and servers attitude between 1st and 2nd visit. Won't be a 3rd visit. read more

This is place is worth it when you are in the area. It's your normal diner feel with a menu that you'd expect in Oklahoma. You can't go wrong with the traditional chicken fried steak or chicken strips. Burgers, steaks, and chops are also good. Prime rib night brings in giant crowds so get there early. They serve it until it's sold out. If you ask for pie, be prepared for a long list of excellent choices. My personal favorite at Copan truck stop is breakfast. We love to roll in after fishing all night and sit down to a classic country breakfast. You can never go wrong with their biscuits and gravy. read more

One of the first places I go with my family when back in the area. Best onion rings I've ever had-- a half order is enough for 4 people-- perfection-- order those for sure. Then there are the amazing sandwiches-- fried pork tenderloin, yum, and the chicken fried steak sandwich, I usually can't pass up, but the excellent crispy, salty hamburgers are also a draw. Pickles, buns, plenty of mayo-- makes it hard to choose. Crisp salads, excellent fried chicken livers (a half order is too much for one person, so order a half order for the table-- you won't be sorry if you like chicken livers). If you have a meal that's not a sandwich, you'll get the best rolls you've ever had. Huge glasses of strong iced tea, mugs of strong coffee. Plenty of refills. I've never tried desserts--never had room, but the pies look divine, so I'm making it my goal to order dessert next time. The service is friendly and quick, the atmosphere is also friendly, conversations often start between tables. It's fun to see the cowboys and cowgirls with their spurs and hat, and the vets at the liars table always seem to be having a good time. Just love this place. read more
