This is a cozy little café in downtown Bartlesville. Open all day, serving every food you would expect at a diner: biscuits and gravy (voted the best in Bartlesville), award winning chili, burgers and daily specials. My wife had the biscuits and gravy; they didn't disappoint. I had my standard breakfast. It was cooked perfectly (see the picture). Fast friendly service, clean, comfortable home town ambiance.

    Everything was good

The food was great Service was good. Good prices great ambience. Great small town café.

French toast- 1/2 order with cottage fries

We stopped in for breakfast this morning. It was a short stroll from the hotel we were staying at. It's a local favorite for sure. Nice cozy place with lots of smiles, not a lot of seats- seat yourself, but wasn't too busy. I ordered the French toast, 1/2 order and the cottage fries- they are fried potatoes. The French toast was amazing! They were crispy on the edges but soft and gooey in the middle. My husband had the cheese omelet, the cook did an amazing job- not burnt and cooked perfectly! He also had hash browns and a bacon with gravy, it's sausage gravy. He really enjoyed the homemade biscuit and the thick gravy. If you're lucky enough to be in the area and looking for a good breakfast that won't upset your stomach, definitely stop here! We both ate for under $20, including two drinks, and we were full!

This is by far the BEST breakfast we've ever eaten. The service is absolutely amazing and the quality of the food is phenomenal. The portion you get is amazing. I love how they are always on top of things and asking you if you need anything like coffee and etc. My husband and I are inpressed. This place will be a regular breakfast date for us.

We walked here from the Hilton Garden Inn on a mission to have a good down-home breakfast. The food was delicious, and the service was great. The bathroom was clean, as was the eating area. The coffee was good too.

    Awesome reuben and tots!

Outstanding reuben and tots, with a friendly environment and great service! Will definitely return!

The service is good. The biscuit was dry, not enough gravy to cover biscuit. Sausage is not top quality.

Good friendly service. Good process for breakfast. The full size biscuits and gravy was a huge portion - next time I'll order a half.

So when we had a chance to partake in a large family gathering at Murphy's I was looking forward to the experience. Upon walking in, I was very surprised at the place as it reminded more of an old diner than a steakhouse. Open since 1946, Murphy's looks like it's been around that long. Lined with red leather seated booths, there was no place for our group of nine to sit except for a round corner booth where we all crammed into like sardines. The menu was quaint, filled with mainly diner dishes and comfort foods. I decided on the favorite, the "Hot Hamburger", which was basically a hamburger on toast, topped with french fries and onions, coated with brown gravy. Service was fine given the fact they were packed with patrons when we arrived. The food was hot and fresh, including the homemade french fries. Everyone in our group seemed content with their food choices. The only real problem was how we were crammed into one little booth and there was no room to relax and visit. I would recommend Murphy's to anyone looking for a home style meal. If you're looking for a steak house experience, try somewhere else or you'll be disappointed.

I wondered how the restaurant has survived several years serving poor quality food. I realized some customers must be treated better than others, and I didn't make the cut. I would have forgotten the whole ordeal if it wasn't for the conclusion of my visit. I was asked, how everything was tonight. I responded to the fact the onion rings were burnt and I didn't eat them. The cashier responded, without hesitation, "oh, okay, that'll be $10.19." I reiterated that the onion rings were burnt and I didn't eat them. "Okay, that'll be $10.19". At this point I thought they may want to call the police, because I don't eat burnt food. She called over the server to deal with the problem customer. That just made me sad.
