Such a fun place to check out on Saturday mornings! Family friendly, easy to park and move thru the rows of booths. Tried Vegilish hummus and Lucido's pasta this round. Can't wait to come back again soon!

Coppell Farmers Market is Coppell's newly relocated farmer's market located in Coppell's downtown district. It's a suburban farmer's market, but you can expect to find typical farmer's market items in a new, clean, & family friendly pavilion. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Vendors, Return) Atmosphere - Coppell Farmers Market is located in a brand new area off Main St. There is a large, primary pavilion that is covered which houses many of the vendors. There's also several that line up on the street. Plenty of parking is available, and there's also a great children's playground attached. It's fenced in to allow kids to play while you explore the market. It's also close to several Coppell mainstays, like Coppell Deli, Local Diner, & Hard 8 down the road. 1 Star. Service - All the vendors are great. They kind of have to be since you're buying their goods. Bring cash for fast transactions. Honestly I didn't check if any vendors accept credit cards. 1 Star. Vendors - There are some worthy vendors here, including Village Baking Company from Dallas, Round Rock Honey, and then you have several artisan vendors. My apologies for not getting company names, but you can buy cakes, cookies, grass fed meats, plants, and pastas. But one strange thing I noticed was there were very few produce vendors. Now, I went on the 3rd Saturday of the month, and my understanding is the 1st Saturday has the most vendors. It would have been nice to have more "farmers" at this market. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes - As I've stated before, I support local/small businesses. Coppell Farmers Market is a great alternative to other farmers' markets, especially if you live in the area. I could even see myself coming back to the playground after a visit to Coppell Deli. Bottom line is Coppell Farmers Market is a must visit if you are within the area. 1 Star. My Yelp Rating Scale (Sum of all parts): 1 Star - Atmosphere - Is it a cool dive? Perhaps an upscale place? No matter the type, atmosphere plays a big part and I'll give a star if I like it or thinks it has great charm. 1 Star - Service - You can have a great meal with bad service. But that's also what can make a five star joint drop to four. It's important to the dining experience that service is great and on point. 2 Stars - Vendor - I'll award up to two stars for the vendors, since this is the main reason we visit. Sometimes the extra star is given for value, but it's really all about the vendors. 1 Star - Will I come back? - If I know for a fact I'll return, I'll give this a star. A place has to make an impression for me to return. Each Category can be given up to 1 star except food (2 stars) because I consider all these categories important to the overall dining experience. I will sum them up to provide my final Yelp score.

    Fresh produce!

Coppell's farmers market is a popular spot every Saturday 8 to 12. Not only does it host local fresh produce sellers, it is great place for kids to play and run around the fountains while their folks shop. Always hoping to buy something unique and obviously, fresh! Most of them allow you to sample their products. So you end up getting a taste of new things even if you may not buy. I have bought something useful from each and every seller by now. The raw honey is marvellous, the hand made soaps are great gift items, and the pasta is unique and fresh! Also the hummus and baba ganoush with pita are one of the best I have had. The peaches are ripe and sweet, and veggies (raddishes, turnips, salad greens, you name it!)give you a sense of farm to table immediately. Yet to buy fish from them, the last time, their truck didn't show up but I'm hoping it will this weekend. There are few sellers of fruiting and flowering plants, herbs, greens. Ended up buying a blackberry bush! This has become a regular Saturday haunt for me and a couple of friends. Some of the sellers sell at a discounted price of you buy more than 3 or 4, so it always helps if we buy items from the same seller together!

Friendly vendors who all seem to help each other out and use each others' products. We were first time visitors and will definitely be back!

Love the big barn and the open grass tent area for vendors. Everyone is super friendly and the produce brought in is amazing.

Ask the Community - Coppell Farmers Market

Are fermented dairy products sold at your market, specifically Kefir?

Jersey girls sells yogurt, along with milk and cheese. I love their milk. I've made my own cheese with their milk and drink the whey that is expelled from that. I just Googled "Make Your Own Kefir" and found d this great site… Read more

One of the weekends each month they do food products only, and the other Saturday it's kind of an open fair thing where anyone can go so you'll get people who make all sorts of things. We're particularly partial to the local meats from Windy Hill because they are always delicious. This lady from Waggin' Tail treats comes there a lot too and she makes the best dog treats ever. Also there's a company that brings fresh pasta called Lucido's Produce & Herbs which is phenomenal. They even have frozen ravioli in all kinds of flavors which are omgtodiefor. The vendors either take cash or check. You can get cash from inside the gas station, the cashier will do it for you for a $2 charge (like an ATM). It's in the parking lot of the Green Spot Market & Fuels, which also has probably the best taco place in Dallas (Good 2 Go Taco). Awesome! Overall, I absolutely love this part of my community and I'm going to miss it terribly when I move next year. Below are all the dates left for 2010: September 11 September 25* October 9 October 23* November 13 December 11 (* = food only)

Super cute local market in Lakewood!…read more I think the term "farmers market" is a misnomer since there was only an itty bitty selection of produce and fresh foods. What they do offer is lots of local products like baked goods, soaps, salsas and unique crafts. I love supporting small, local businesses so this market is right up my alley. I copped some yummy French macaroons and a spicy marinade that I can't wait to try with some fish for dinner. It's small and the location changes every other week so be sure to check their website before you head out. I would definitely recommend visiting if you are in the area but I would not make a special trip or anything.
